For those who don’t understand French but love the music here are the lyrics of this song in English...... Tonight the wind is knocking on my door
Talk to me about dead loves
In front of the fire that goes out
Tonight is a song of autumn
    In the house that shivers
And I think of the distant days
    What remains of our loves
What is left of these beautiful days
    A photo, old photo
    From my youth
    What are sweet notes left?
    April, appointments
    A memory that pursues me
    Non-stop
Faded happiness, hair in the wind
    Stolen kisses, moving dreams
What is left of all this
    Say it to me
A small village, an old steeple
    A landscape so well hidden
And in a cloud the dear face
    From my past
    Words soft words whispered
    The purest caresses
    Oaths in the woods
The flowers found in a book
    Whose scent gets you intoxicating
    So flew why?
    What remains of our loves
What is left of these beautiful days
    A photo, old photo
    From my youth
    What are sweet notes left?
    April, appointments
    A memory that pursues me
    Non-stop

    Me parle des amours mortes
    Dites-le-moi

      Dites-le-moi
Un petit village, un vieux clocher
      Un paysage si bien caché
Et dans un nuage le cher visage
      De mon passé

In English, this song is called "I wish you love". The lyrics go something like this ~ I wish you bluebirds in the spring / To give your heart a song to sing / And then a kiss, but more than this / I wish you love. / And in July a lemonade ... etc.

    Que reste-t-il des billets doux
Des mois d' avril, des rendez-vous
    Un souvenir qui me poursuit
    Sans cesse
    Bonheur fané, cheveux au vent
    Baisers volés, rêves mouvants
    Que reste-t-il de tout cela
    Dites-le-moi
    Dont le parfum vous enivre
    Se sont envolés pourquoi?
    {au Refrain}

Thank God I had this to listen to while I was sanding my kitchen cabinets. I was transported from my life of domestic drudgery to when I lived in Europe and Paris was only 3 hrs away.Whaaa
