This music turns me sad - and mad. It reminds me of happy times when as penniless students living in Paris in the mid 50s we went to the Huchette or to the Rue du Four for listening to fantastic French Jazz and Manouche Bands. Claude Lutter, Maxime Saury, Stefane Grappelli etc. Tempi Passati, they will never come back. And the flirty girls in Saint-Germain!

This tune caught my attention back around 1954/1955 when our French language class played the Charles Trenet recording. Some things stay in your memory. Sixty four years isn't too long to remember a song, is it? Naahhh.

Tatiana has the most expressive vocal integrated with eye,face,body movements,gestures,etc.,that I ever saw in a singer.The Accordian player is excellent with beautiful movements with her playing. All musicians are great . This is Tatiana's finest performance that I have seen. Wish I could have played drums on this recording.
