I really appreciate how you tasted it at different stages-it’s so helpful for knowing the perfect time to harvest & enjoy! This might just be my top choice for white-fleshed dragon fruit now.
Thank you for watching. Dragon fruit harvesting is so tricky especially with new varieties. A tiny factor like random spikes in temperature can affect the whole harvest time
Could you do a video of all of the know varieties that are both self fertile and self pollinating? I would like to let dragons grow up my big old mesquite & oak trees naturally so those would be the only options. It would feel like a real dragonfruit "jungle" with the branches hanging down everywhere!
That is so awesome to have created a new variety. Which tastes like green apples 🍏 WOW Congratulations! Pity we can't get your Dragon fruit sent to South Africa. Only tasted red and the white flesh of the Dragon fruit for the first time this year. Never heard of them before. I have been experimenting and growing by seed for fun. I know it's best to have the cuttings as seeds take much longer to mature and produce fruit. I wish you much joy in creating new varieties. I love watching your videos on Dragon fruit. 🌿💚🌿 Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience.
CONGRATULATIONS! I’m so happy for you! What a discovery! 😃 thank you for working do hard to improve the dragon fruit world! 🙂 And I noticed you didn’t mention the Ecuador Palora as the white skin favorites. It came down from your list?
Let me wrap my mind around this for a minute ,😅 Richard … You pollinated an Asunta 4 dragon fruit flower with Red Laverne pollen and then this wonderful new fruit was created ? Now that you have this new creation ,what is the next step to making the Sour Apple Head fruit a stand alone variety ? Do you harvest the seeds and germinate them until Sour Apple Head becomes its own plant ? I have to look through your videos and see if you have any on growing dragon fruit from seed. FASCINATING 😎
Yes it surprised me as well! I will be cloning it from grafting and grow more. Germinating from seeds won't produce the exact same DNA or characteristics.
Hi Richard, I just tasted my first Undatus Blanca fruit, it looked perfectly ripe but the taste was very salty...Can there be an explanation for this? A thousand thanks
If you extracted the juice from the flesh, added agar agar into it and separated the seeds, you could probably fool anyone into thinking you made an apple jelly, which is a great prank for April fools day.

Yes that will be wonderful.
We need someone like you, who is so passionate about Dragon fruit.
Who is willing to share.
Please do mention which one is self pollinated, self fertile or cross pollinating needed for all the varieties.
Wow will you have it for sale?

What's with everyone naming Dragon fruit off of candy brands
To sell the flavors to people in a way they understand it will taste similar to
Because it's fun and easier for people to relate to

That would be a funny one! haha
The percentage characteristics of a father plant vs the mother plant in a dragon fruit
That's hard to calculate. You'll have to do testing in a lab to get those answers
Have you done it for 10 years? How do you know the seed is heirloom?
❤❤❤
Thanks for watching!
The brix score is the opposite or subjective...
How sweet you feel it tastes is subjective
Have you ever tried crossing a Fish Bone Cactus with one of your Dragon fruit plants?
I am visiting my son who lives in Anaheim.
