Currently working on hybrid seedlings from Wallace Ranch Hybrid. I was fortunate to receive one fruit from Wallace Ranch Dragon Fruit Farm this year. ❤ Since its pollen source is unknown, we’ll give it a unique name followed by an “X”-similar to how the Ax dragon fruit got its name from an Asunta cross with an unknown pollen source.
My teenage son sprouted seeds from a grocery store dragonfruit! I think he will try creating some hybrids from his American beauty and the grocery store variety in about 3 years👍🏼
I loved this video! Super nice and well explained! 😋 I always thought that cross-pollinating would change the taste of the fruit! And selling the seeds is a super good idea! You could be very profitable and it’s easier to ship worldwide! Also easier than having cuttings. Plus, you get many seeds in a single fruit! 😋 Great idea! 😇
Hi Richard, I have been watching your videos over 3 years. I grafted a few yellow dragon fruits 2 years ago. Finally, I'm getting lots of buds recently, is the fruit able to grow bigger since LA is getting cooler in Nov?
I pollinated this year, my queen of the night (selenicereus grandiflorus) with the pollen of Vietnam white. The Queen of the night is self sterile. That’s why I did it and it worked! I have 2 fruits now. i’m not sure if it’s worth it to grow new plants from this cross pollination….
Can you plz share the composition of fertilizer you use like what amount n.p.k and other things it contains...because the fertilizer you used is not available in my country.... hope you understand my question ❤
How do you know somebody else hasn’t made the same cross and named it then there is you thinking it’s your very own variety but now the is 2 of the same varieties going by different names
Same cross but doesn’t mean the genetics will be the same as the seeds don’t seeds exact copies of genes. Only way to get an exact fruit of a breed you like is cloning from the mother plant

How long is the collected pollen viable for? Can you store it?
Where do you buy the mess bags from? Is the vacuum specifically for collecting pollen? Where do you buy the vacuum from?
I'll try this. I'll call my hybrid Jabberwocky

@@GraftingDragonFruit thanks bro!
Hope you enjoyed the video! Have you tried creating your own hybrid?

Excellent video. Thank you!
You are welcome!
Nice show and tell. Great video.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for the clear explanation
You are welcome!
Cool. Need to create more self fertile varieties. Please.
That's the plan!
Hi love all you do . I have a problem with my dragon fruit . The flower comes out and then it dries and the drops off . What do I need to do
Was wondering what if pollinated a Ecuador palora with any rep pulp variety pollen.... What would the result be🤔
Would know until you try

Yes if it's ecuador palora, it'll continue to ripen
@@GraftingDragonFruit thanks Richard 🙏

Check out my videos on the fertilizer I use and you'll be able to look up the products to see their composition information.
I use disposable q tips instead of brush
That’s another good strategy
Nice
Thanks
How do I graft a dragonfruit? It's something that I cannot figure out.
Check RUclips on how to graft.
Can u export in Bangladesh?
No I can’t at this time
How do you know somebody else hasn’t made the same cross and named it then there is you thinking it’s your very own variety but now the is 2 of the same varieties going by different names
It depends partly on whether Monsanto did it or not and notifies you with a lawsuit. jk

There’s going to be such a flood of new dragon fruit in the next 4-6 years
Hopefully they’ll be even better varieties
@@GraftingDragonFruit I’m hoping so!
Which varieties have you created? Are there certim species which don't successfully hybridize with each other?
You should have coved both flowers. You don't know if it was already visited by a bug
Even if it’s visited by a bug, it does not affect the pollen itself
All the best 👍❤ from Assam jagiroad 😊
Thank you!
Enough of varieties 😂 . We have got a lot now. Dont you think
Never enough. The amount there is, is still small compared to other fruits
