Been using the "quick snap" for a while now when surf fishing and I have found that they just aren't as "quick" as I thought they would be. better than retying, but only marginally, IMHO. Loved the music as you attempt to connect lure to the snap. Classic!
This man is authentic! I lived with my family for 3.5 years in the Gilbert Island as teaching American volunteer in Abaiang Islang, Tabwiroa Jr. College. Using teeth to demonstrate fishing technique was the icon for authenticity, based on centuries of experience, fortitude and success!
I have dry hands and have worn away most of my fingerprints. I've been struggling with making drop loops...until I saw how you did it. Now my loops are great. Thanks!
Love this. I tie a lot of baitfish fly patterns for salt water fly fishing but sometimes the wind doesn’t cooperate so I can’t use my flies. This method will allow me to get my flies further out with a spinning rod. Can’t wait to use this in OBX next month.
Great video, I think I am going to try using the rig you showed. It looked very versatile. Keep up the good work. I learn fishing strategies, that I need to try. I am praying for you and your family and friends.
Couldn't you just put a swivel at the end of your main line and put the tactical clip on the top of the rig and just switch from there? I like to run a leader on the lures anyway and would just have them tied on with their own clip ready to go. But i'm not really a fan of those clips so would just end each rig with a swivel and then cut on the main line end and tie back, just one knot so still pretty fast Or I guess better yet, just have a cast pole ready to go and keep your bottom fisher in the holder
Yeah I have a pole for lures and a pole for bait when you have arthritis I don't know another option! I can show somebody in my middle finger but to contort my fingers like he just did not happening! I sure like that though.
I haven’t kept a fish in years since I’ve noticed the fish numbers drop off around my local areas I remember 10-15 years ago you could catch nice big fish off socal coast now it’s been nothing but tiny you catch a 14inch mackerel and are over the moon about it
Also talking about surf casting Striped bass is to not hold them insides the gills for a picture use a boga or the plastic style and support the mid body so you dont harm them
My only question is how would this work with cranks? I do a fair bit of kayak fishing and tend to troll two lures and at least one of them is a crank bait shallow/mid/deep diver. I've been conditioned to think that snaps on lures like this will have a negative impact on the action of the lure, would you agree? Love the advice at the end about catch and release as well. I tend to keep one or two good flathead when I kayak then release the others.
Literally all you have to do is make a bunch of rigs with split rings on the end of the rig before you go out fishing. This way, when you go to change rigs, all you have to do is cut the main line that connects to the split ring and then tie on another rig.
Your videos are great, but I have trouble putting the dropper rig through the eye of the hook. Can't seem to get it thgough, and once it has been used for a while, can't seem to remove it without cutting it. I know this seems very basic, but I'm open for ideas.
I like your ingenuity, but this would not work in the FL surf for me. I would prefer to use the tactical clip at the top and swap the whole rig. Also if a fish hooks up on the teaser, those trebles on the lure would unnecessarily damage the fish by foul hooking it as well. I probably would use the same rod for these two techniques and certainly not the same leader strength. I like where your head is going, but this is not ideal for me. Maybe it's for the person with one rod who also ran out of leader?
Thank you for sharing. I just started fishing, still taking my time to figure if i really like it or not. Its very annoying to cut your line n do it over again to switch from top water to bottom. Ps i dont wanna spent for a second rod yet. Thanks.
When you fish lures, do you personally get more bites when adding a trailer? Seems like an awesome idea! Defiantly going to tie one on surf fishing Atlantic beach!
Jake Howell I like trailer hooks but I find sometimes an assist hook ruins the swimming motion or at least limits it when using soft plastics such as Shad tail minnows two hooks at both ends of a bait can be too much weight, but no doubt about it if the fish even knocks the lure to stun it 8/10 times they hook up
I tie a dropper loop at the top of my leader. This way I can undo and set my leader to the side if I need to switch to a lure. When you're running braid for a main line, you don't want to keep cutting your main line back.
First guy as I see, who go straight to the point with very clear practical explanation. Thank you.
I love all the education you add to your videos rather than all the other channels that don't tell you anything.

This is in my opinion by far the Best of your videos

SKIPPER, YOU SIR ARE A GENIUS!

I love it when someone mentions praying for people you don't know.. Lord Bless You
@@bobscruggs8886 Thank you, GOD is good.
Wow all your videos are great but this one knocked it out of the park Thanks for your help
That's a really good idea, I'm givin' that a go for sure!
If you put the tactical clip onto your leader line you can change your rigs out faster and use targeted rigs for each species
Hey Skipper!!! Way too awesome!!!
I like this guy. Tons of good information.
What a great idea ! Thank you for sharing, shout out from Long Beach California!!
Thanks for the video, I'm going to try something like that for bass fishing.
I have watched a ton of videos. Like what I saw, Subscribed. And now I bought a two pack of your squidy bits. They're great
You tied the tactical clip on UPSIDE DOWN!! The angled end goes on TOP.
Good stuff Skipper way to go.
I'll definitely be doing this next year for the annual run of striper bass in the Hudson River, thanks my man!!
Very helpful. Thank you I just learned a new hack from you, your the best
Lol the music at 3.25.....awesome match of music and face expressions.....
You won’t believe skipper
This is better

This is a great information! Thanks for sharing! Just subscribed and followed your channel! Keep it up! 🎣🐟
I love that quote man
very nice demo bro
You could also put the pyramid weight where the hook was and put the hook where the pyramid weight was.
hello senko, im from indonesia. thanks for all of you tips and trick, very usefull.
Awesome & effective rigs at the pier
There's a reason why I take more than one pole with me😂
dantaliansaint hahaha 100% takes 1 second to pick up a different rod 😂
LOL
Kip
Yeah I have a pole for lures and a pole for bait when you have arthritis I don't know another option! I can show somebody in my middle finger but to contort my fingers like he just did not happening! I sure like that though.
Remember, switching to a different rod is always faster than retying
This works well with the loop but dont use braided line because it is hard to get it back out
Good tip mate love from kenya.....
I like all your videos.
THAT'S A GREAT HACK MATE, CHEERS.
I just purchased 2 packs of the tactical clips and will tie up some rigs to give it a go.
That’s a good idea!
Seems like a good idea for Kayak fishing. Switch from trolling to bottom fishing and back.
THAT'S SO AWESOME GRANDPAWWW
Thanks kiddo
Hey bud love your content!!! Was wondering in the paperclip weight episode if you could do a video of how your dad did his with the bead....

Good rig, I grabbed some 30lb, and learned the knot. 100% c&release.
You rock brother
This is awesome and a great idea!
Dude, that's awesome :) Thank you
Dooooope!! Is this set up better with fluorocarbon line? Can I use it with braided?
I like your ingenuity, but this would not work in the FL surf for me. I would prefer to use the tactical clip at the top and swap the whole rig. Also if a fish hooks up on the teaser, those trebles on the lure would unnecessarily damage the fish by foul hooking it as well.

Good point
Just splurged a good sum at the tackle store for some lures. Best 80 Ringgit spent!
Do you have to add a sinker to lure fishing
You just blew my mind
Nice content thanks for new ideas
So im a newbie in fishing so how to remove a floater and i want to thankyou faor the video its nice

Hey, I'm going to the cape cod canal in a few weeks any tips?
Stay out and fish as much as you can!
Thank you guys for the advice! 😀
Jig.
I'm looking for a beach rig and shore/ rock rig. Can I use this?
What’s the tactical clip got that a snap swivel ain’t got?
Hay thank you I'm going to try this in fresh water. Good job and video keep it up .👍👍🇺🇸😎
How did it work
i love your content
I always use snap swivels for the hi/lo rig... And just unsnap to change into another pretied rig
Improved clinch is great of mono, even stronger than uni. But in real fishing (not the example Brendon is showing), you have to at least use the uni.
Did you reverse the tactical angler clip?
When you fish lures, do you personally get more bites when adding a trailer? Seems like an awesome idea! Defiantly going to tie one on surf fishing Atlantic beach!
Long island atlantic beach ??

How secure is that tacti clip?
This is amazing!!
Happy to help!
Can I tie one of the power clips to my main line (braid) then attach rigs to the power clip instead of having to cut my line each time?
I tie a dropper loop at the top of my leader. This way I can undo and set my leader to the side if I need to switch to a lure. When you're running braid for a main line, you don't want to keep cutting your main line back.
with no swivel you must get line twist?
Where do you get that map in the back ?
Are you basically using a T-knot as shown in the video with your dad?
How do you store the squid Bait
Hey man I’m from Maryland I would love to come out and fish with you, I’m not that experienced though :(
Oh you have Shimano stradics they are my favorite
@Hey Skipper, why are you using braided line for the rig? What the advantage of it?
He was using it so you can see the line in the demo. Use fluorocarbon when you tie rigs.
What number was the first hook you put on the line
You could do this with a sabiki rig but instead of one teaser fly you'll have five, six or seven of them....
wow thank you!
Thanks
Asesome info Man thanks.
How do I get the costal package?
Great video
This is genius!!!
Cool 😎 👍
great 👌👍👍
