Decimator primes as an ally may make sense from the stormcasts - less killy than the Annihilator prime but they have a bonus move on a double if there are injured fighters nearby (so less reliance on the triple) as well as an AoE toughness boost that could be handy at times.
I am planning on doing them after Monsta Killaz simply because they are little bit more complicated than the other 4 Warbands and need a bit more time to figure out! From a quickly glance, 4 dogs is the maximum you want to take (and more feels like a trap), Trailblazers with dual-crossbows are one of the best units in the Warband, Arbalester with +1S is a menace, and Fight For Profit from Kharadon Overlords is very powerful, as is Calthia Xandire’s Coordinated Strike ability. Regular crossbows are awful, avoid them at all costs. I’ll go into more detail on everything in my video though, and my thoughts may change by then!
They are great fun, but their movement tricks are a bit tricky to master since you have to time when and how you use them. If you play aggressively, be prepared to take some hits once you are in! I love them
Good to see that GW have made them into a decent warband. I really liked the models for Underworlds but they were rubbish on the table! I will be picking them up for Warcry.
I'm toying with a list that drops the doggo, for a Salamander from the Seraphon. It seems to give better area coverage and a slight increase in damage output. Food for thought.
Love the models, and sounds like a fun playstyle. The only thing that's keeping me from getting them is the points. Hoping GW will fix it so the whole band can be fielded - then again, the last thing I need is more models to paint.
Yeah, the points issue is very weird, but honestly, they function well with 60-80 points worth of blessings. They feel very malleable, which I don’t think is the intention with the current points, but it’s rather interesting to mess around with!
Does order have any beasts/thralls that are worth allying in. Double move with and bonus attack seems pretty awesome with a good beast. Maybe one will be added down the line?
As of right now? I’m pretty sure they don’t have any Thralls, and they don’t have any beast allies as far as I am aware. There could be some Bladeborn stuff, I haven’t checked! If only Order had access to Chaos Spawn!
As interesting tech pieces I could see them work. The teleport in particular would handy for objective missions for sure! I believe the Shadestalker is also the cheapest net Order can ally, and there’s certainly power in having one in your team :)
This warband creates so much character in a faction that is a lot of the same. Don’t get me wrong. I love the old models because batch painting them is a dream. And these guys are proper killy.
You’re spot on. Fyreslayers are a little bit on the bland side, but these guys are full of character and have some really funky unique mechanics I can’t get enough of.
@@SuperEagle112 Well, interestingly enough, I have a video on those guys going live later today. It’s currently uploading and will be out around 5pm GMT haha

That could work nicely! Well worth looking into
Gotta love GW leaking the swift as the wind elinination right after you make a vid using it lolol. Good stuff though mate
I did say it felt redundant, but yeah, that leak kinda makes the whole point moot! Thanks for watching bud!
When do you reckon you'll be getting around to the Wildercorps warband video?

Oop oop for the pocket princes!!!! Can t wait to put in some reps with them

Thank you for the shout out

They are really funky. Good to see the slayers doing well

Unless the Salamander can be allied in as a hero or Bladeborn, I don’t think you can slot one in

just got home with a box of these lads to try some warcry out
This is a great warband that’s fairly straightforward when it comes to learning the game. Have fun!
@@wargamesontoast glad to hear, cracked the box open, the detail on these lads is phenomenal. geedubs are flexing here xD
They are wonderful models. Great fun to paint too

Regarding allies, would a shadestalker or tree revenant scion possibly be worth the points or do these guys need too many dice?

@@SuperEagle112 absolute legend!
With the points fix whay are people playing the 9th dwarf as?
Scalebreaker is probably a good slot. I’m honestly very happy just running extra blessings hahaha
The new rules update is out and both Runefather profiles got dropped to 150 points, so you can field that 9th dwarf now! 🥳
LETS GO!
