    One of the best demo’s ever! This chap can play absolutely anything! What I’d give for some lessons with him! Still no demonstration of its capabilities as a controller though..... that was the first thing that to drew me to it. It was in a list of top controllers and it turns out it’s one of the best synths I have ever heard PLUS it has speakers 😱🙏😍

    Only had this for 24 hours so far, still getting used to it. Nice job on the demo Chris, much appreciated. As tempting as it is to complain about the keyboard or the Leslie sim, I need to consider the price. I'd love for someone to sell me a Porsche (that folds into a briefcase of course) for what I paid for my Altima, but that is probably not going to happen. For what this costs and what it weighs, it is exactly what I need. I have 2 other 88 key, weighted controllers, both weigh near 90 pounds. Also have an 88 Rhodes, let's not even talk about the weight. With a bit of time, it's easily possible to get used to the keyboard. If you play enough keyboards and synths, you can get used to anything. My usual test is to try some classical (Beethoven's Pathetique is good) and some jazz (usually "In The Mood"). If I can play those, I know I can get used to it.
    I'm hoping Studiologic considers some updates 'though. The Rhodes could be a bit smoother in the transitions between velocity layers (it's not bad, I'm just talking wishlist) and the distortion/drive is something I cannot figure out the usefulness of yet. Adding some drive to the organ sounds would've been great but the drive on this is really odd.
    I bought this to bring to jams, and might use it live at my church gigs. Now to go read through the manual.

    • @HotStrange
      @HotStrange 5 лет назад +6

      It’s actuslly $699 but it’s a steal even for that price. Sounds almost as good as a Nord with just as many features and a great synth engine from the Sledge.

  • @classicjake

    SNC2 vs SNC2X : Does the 2x upgrade really add a lot in terms of sound creation? Both offer piano, epiano, organ, synth. Does the 2x synth have an arpeggiator? Variable portamento? Is the keybed the same on both? Does the 2x lose any memory devoted to piano, epiano, organ?
    Also, I've had no trouble adjusting to semi-weighted, in fact I prefer it for stage use and have had two Kurz SP88s and M-audio Prokeys 88sx. Thank you for a superb demo!

  • @persoundproducer
    @persoundproducer 5 лет назад +5

    I did like it weight, fatars keys, minimalism, design, and I'd like it has 73 keys, better piano sound.
    Is there really so noisy keys as pictured in the video?
    I like that producer gives me what I desire - just good keys, some basic sounds, minimalism and light weight! Respect for nothing extra. But for this price... I hesitate between ds88 and this one or maybe sl73 or some suggestions?

    Can anyone tell me if there's a quick way to switch your saved sound into some sort of a quick registrations buttons and switch the sounds on the fly when performing live?
    And if so, does the previous sound still sustain when you transition to a different sound registration when you hold the sustain pedal?

    Love the addition of the (class compliant, no special device drivers needed!) audio interface in this board. Ditching an analog aux cord means one less bit of cabling to use my iPad. The only other devices i have seen that do this are the Yamaha PSRs (but NOT the Refaces, alas)
    Will this play patches / program changes on midi in channels 3-16?

    • @roycevanbeethoven

    Good demo. Have you used the editor yet? I'm curious whether the editing/sound shaping as deep as it is on the Sledge (albeit less knobby), or if that's been dumbed down?

    • @ChristianMartirano
      @ChristianMartirano 5 лет назад +3

      2gb with 1gb internal samples and 1 gb for user samples. This hasn’t been promoted yet publicly however this is what will be available in the instrument.

    • @troutmaskreplica1

      Here's what Studiologic shows on their specs page: "Factory & User sounds updatable thru Hi-Speed USB device*1". The footnote description says: "1. With a dedicated application available within Fall 2018'. It sounds like an editor may be forthcoming.

    • @HotStrange
      @HotStrange 5 лет назад +1

      Wtf? Did you not watch the video at all? He literally explains it within the first 2 minutes. It has 2 GBs storage. 1 for on board sounds and 1 for user samples. Is it really that hard to just watch the video for yourself before looking like a fool in the comments?

    • @classicjake
      @classicjake 5 лет назад

      Chris M., you've played them all. I've had three semi-weighted pianos, 2 Kurz and 1 M-audio. I've grown accustomed to semi-weighted, even prefer it especially for gigs. Any further comments on the action would be appreciated. Thanks for all your great demo videos.

    • @ChristianMartirano
      @ChristianMartirano 5 лет назад +10

      Mike Alonzo You will be able to according to the manufacturer. They have to finish the editor first that will allow you to organize your samples and then upload them into the instrument. At the time I shot this video they gave me approval to mention that you will be able to load one gigabyte of use of samples. I stand by this 100%.

      That's exactly what I intend to use it for. When trying to set up Mainstage I ran into some trouble. For example, the drawbars can't all be used as controllers for drawbars in a B3 software instrument. Assigning control over midi is not possible, at least not as far as I have been able to work out.
