I love your reviews. Your playing is great and right on the mark stylistically for each instrumental sounds you are recreating. Much appreciated because you can not always get to play things before buying them these days. I look forward to a review of the numa compact 2X
Wonderful review! I sold a 65 lb Roland Fantom X8 (about 80 lb in its case!) and replaced it with a Studiologic Numa Compact 2. I have no regrets whatsoever! While the keybed action of the Numa Compact 2 will never be mistaken for a real piano, its size and weight more than make up for that! I'm still blown away by how light it is. PLUS, it has one thing that most digital pianos do NOT have: AFTERTOUCH! :-) The sounds that come with it along with the effects are outstanding. Thank you for a great review, Sir. Your videos are always informative and your playing is awesome!
@@el-bov8034 keep in mind that these are Hammond organ/synth style semi weighted keys. Before i ordered mine, I'd read an erroneous article stating that the Compact 2 had (non hammer action) weighted keys & the Compact *2X was the one with the synth action due to the organ section, but they share the same action. You will be very satisfied with this instrument if that isn't an issue. the samples are more natural compared to my RD-88 & MOTIF XF via a PA/headphones, but the the Rhodes & FM EPs are a bit... meh. Wurlis are very nice, though. I'd recommend this instrument. Guitar Center has two used units for under $400 to give it a 13 day trial at least.
@@Daring2Win Thanks! I'm not looking for hammer action at this point. Need a good-quality, 88-key for all types of production music (Bonus points ofr the included sounds and speakers, for non-computer playing). This seems to fit the bill. When I have enough money (A bit more space, also), I'll buy it from Amzaon. Any issues and I willl be able to send it back. Thanks, again :)
Sir you are marvelous and your review of this studio logic compact 2 is the best on RUclips . Altough I may speak a different language than you, because music is the universal language, I understand you perfectly. I tip my hat to you, for you are most excellent ❣️🎶🎹
Can someone please recommend me to a 61 key version of this kind of keyboard? I'm looking for a real piano feel but also something I can control the sound on the keyboard itself.
I know there are english subs which I do so appreciate! Hats off to all involved in that. I just wanted to highlight that if you turn on AUTO translate and set it to english. It's almost perfect now. It used to be so bad like he'd talk about how great a trumpet is and the translate would say "tom has a pet sound is grey tea box" and you'd almost be able to understand what was being said from the odd word. Now its just perfect sentences! I'm wondering is auto translate just using the normal subs or has it really gotten that much better?
Thank you for the review. They should have made 73 key version . If the idea is to be compact and take it to gigs without a car.... There isn't a practical need for full 88 key bed for a portable gig keyboard.
It feels great. The touch response is good for piano AND you don't rip your hand up doing organ smears. And at $500 range street price this is the perfect blues jam keyboard.
sounds kinda bright and digital, but it's cool. this thing has usable sounds especially for church. that phaser ep is horrible tho. I'd still buy it. light, and it resembles a midi controller so I'd have this thing at work. from making beats to playing at shows, id use it with maybe a mx49 from Yamaha to accompany
It has that kind of Roland sound to it, where everything sounds slick, smooth, overly synthetic even on the acoustic sounds. I'm more interested in knowing what the key action and feel might be like, although I appreciate I should find somewhere to demo it myself for that kind of thing.
I see yours is an older post on this topic. Did you end up getting one? As for somewhere to demo things I totally agree. How can you lay out money to try a couple grand in keyboards without hearing it first. SO now I do this: If you buy it thru guitar center you have 45 days to play with it in your own controlled studio environment and get a full refund if you don't like it. I used to think that was sleazy until I realized its their way to not have to stock things and train employees.
For $500 a is great, you can't buy a Nord piano stand for that . Is a road Piano, also is a good hotel practicing tool! Sounds better than many $1000 keys!
He is the best keyboard reviewer ever
😀
Easily the best review I've seen for this keyboard I've found so far, awesome!

Can I ask how loud the keys are i.e mechanical noise. Just fed up of hollow plastic lumps that sound like I'm thumping the desk with every note 😩
@@el-bov8034 The keys do not make much mechanical noise. My Fantom X8 and Yamaha CP300 made much more mechanical noise than the Numa Compact 2 does.
@@jholtz9970 Thanks so much for the reply. Very useful to know. Take care :)

Great review, and thanks for the English subtitles.
Great compact thing. Well done, Studiologic.

Thanks for the demo. Very well done!
Best review, answered all my questions. Awesome skills. Thankyou.
you are THE BEST!!! Great review and I think you're so charming!!

I want that snowboard! 😜 lol it'd be nice if they made a 73 or 76 key version. Great reviews and playing!
Great keyboard and great musician u are man! Hugs from Portugal :)
A great review... good job.
it's about the same size as the SL88 but the SL88 is MIDI only. The Fatar keybeds feel really nice.
Really good review!
Great Job - Thank You !!!
お値段もなかなか良心的でこの性能はもう買うしかないですね笑笑
Arigato! Greetings from Romania!
I've searched the price of this piano. I was actually expecting it to be at least 1000 with all these features.!!
UJIIE-SAN!! I missed you!! :D
Hell I'd like this in my place...just a space saver to noodle on.
セミウェイトの88鍵でアフタータッチがあるというのは珍しいですね...音もなかなか!

很棒!面板比较简洁但是功能相当强大!便携性也不错~更重要的还是带了扬声器,十分良心!

This is pretty nice, my MoxF8 just bit the dust, and I need something else light weight for gigs.
Your keyboard stand probably weighs more than this! :-)

for me its perfect...i put it in my car smilling with only 7kg compact board...
agreed..! i would be even happy with a 61 version with the same keybed.
Yeah, I'd buy a 73 or 61 in a heartbeat. I really don't need 88 keys. Still might get one though.

Why do you guys want a 73 key keyboard??? I would run out of keys :-(
Me too or 61.
would love to know if you can run plug ins off a laptop off this thing... how would you call up sounds?
Can it play piano and drum beat (if it has on board voice) together? Tks!
Amazing thing is that this hot keyboard is only $600...

Boa noite!alguém pode me ajudar .
