Seems I've become a Studiologic fan. I own the Sledge2 and other various keyboard synths, such as Virus and Prophet. So I am more of a synth player. But I want to learn more formal piano playing so decided to go with this one after reviewing many other 88 key digitial pianos. I like the options it has and the price. When I get good enough to play at Carnegie Hall, I will consider a better digital piano.
Not really a piano guy, but like to play with the synths. Pleasantly surprised by this - a few high quality samples with knob driven effects to modify the samples, instead of 500 to 2000 mediocre presets. This sounds like it would be a great practice board AND controller. Kudos for skipping the "workstation" features and focusing on something fun to play, with 88 keys, at a reasonable price. I would have liked to have seen the aftertouch, and a bit more of how to split the keyboard and how that interoperates with external MIDI in and out.
I'm always searching for that Bill Evans sound on piano. Most keyboards piano sounds are biased for cutting through the mix. A different sound. I think Bill played a lot of Baldwin piano. Warm touch is an understatement. I would have preferred a different organ demo sound...something fat ala Jimmy Smith.
I use this keyboard half a year. Basically is good instrument (lightweight!)., but had couple defects: small lcd display, horrible didtortion effect and pitch and modulation joysticks who are uncomfotyable in transportation. Finally - not bed, good woices and built in speakers!
Key phrase “take it out with one arm and gig“ - really important for me, small woman who can barely pick up the trash and take it out. I have two other really great Rolands (well one now) that I bought for the action feel of an actual piano since I’m a pianist but too heavy for me to lift and take out so I don’t bother would love to have for certain occasions. Question on the USB drive: probably a stupid question but can I record into a thumb drive in USB port and then upload onto my computer to upload sound files directly to my SoundCloud page?
The Numa Compact 2 does not support audio recording over USB...but some keyboards do, so it's not a bad question at all. On the Numa, USB is used for firmware update and sending MIDI data to music production software. If you wanted to record audio for SoundCloud, you would need to plug the audio outputs of Numa into the audio inputs of an external USB audio interface (a $100-$200 unit). Thanks for watching and feel free to contact us with any other questions! -Dave
Hi, sorry we are temporarily out of stock on the Numa Compact 2 but more are on the way. Feel free to contact a Kraft Music team member for an ETA or to get one on order. Thanks for your interest! -Dave
What else is required besides the keyboard? Where are the speakers with the frequency response to produce the very deep notes of a 9' Stienway or a 9'6" Bosendorfer etc., Is this hooked up to a large speaker system driven by a powerful amplifier? Is it hooked up to a Leslie?
ranadeau know that most demos you hear on RUclips are taken from a direct line out from the keyboard. And, probably have some post processing through a limiter or compressor type circuit, along with possibly some EQ. No professional RUclips demo videos are played through speakers that are being picked up by the internal mic in a video recording device. So, they can often sound better here than they do in real life. Take every demo you hear here with a large grain of salt. LOL! I have purchased music software that I felt sounded good on RUclips. Yet, after buying them, was quite disappointed!
@@kapatidcovers4446 the keybed is closer to Nord semi weighted keys, or more to a Yamaha Piagero line? The propose looks like a Nord piano... Who knows in the future...
Great demo and a lot of keyboard for the money.

great review!
Sounds good!
How does it work as a midi controller
Seems like a great keyboard for that price!

Forgot to add - liked the guitar emulation around 8:00. Reminded me of "Caress of Steel" era Rush guitar work.

sclogse1 A mellow piano sample would do the trick.
Thank you.
How’s the keybed? Is it comparable to the Yamaha P-125?
Mike Campbell it’s semi weighted, more of an organ/synth thing the Yamaha is weighted like a piano

What the quality of built in spekares?
How does it sound in live music with music band? Does it disappear or is it well hearable?
Péter Pálinkó i never tried live but i believe it will cut through...
Anyone knows if can use the 1/4 outputs as pc or mac outputs for use with kontakt ??
Roberto Garcia learn more
Would you consider this a digital piano or a synthesizer?
Aaron Warren that should be obvious
@@@HotStrange: Damn guy, if it was OBVIOUS he wouldn't have asked...
I want to buy it. But the keyboard seems very light... I own a Roland fp90 and I want to be able te play everywhere with this Numa Compact.
Does anyone know what this is like to play? Never played semi weighted keys before! :)
Matthew Crawford its great
Excelente!!
Are Chris's programs available for download?

First song sounds like ELP
Is it heavy key? I mean, like that of an acoustic piano?
no it isn't, and it's very sad..
I am dislectic so I read studiosimple. Is that logic enough?
iOS no Android? :{ I get myself Casio...
Vote for 73-key version.
Is the accuracy of the piano sound as good as a Roland digital piano?
