Joining me are George from The Fragrance Apprentice RUclips Channel and Nicola from The Sniff Website. We learned about accords, top notes, middle notes and base notes and how to carefully build and blend our own fragrance. I could not take my eyes off Nicola, she was so excited and happy with what she created. Then, to hear her speak about her love of Tool, I understood that she has a deep appreciation for the complexities and nuances in both music and fragrance.

Please do this again. This may be the best idea for fragrance videos ever. Should be a once or twice a year thing, especially with George and Aaron. With better audio the next time, it would be killer top tier content.
After watching Aaron on two other videos with you and then looking into his fragrances, I saw his perfumery class. This was so exciting since my wife is an essential oil freak! She doesn't love the idea of me using commercial fragrances, but loves that I smell good. This video gives me hope that I could learn how to develop my own, natural, "healthier" fragrances. Thanks for great content! I'd be honored to be considered for a session with ATH!

I know it's probably not going to happen, but I will give it a shot. I don't have to much knowledge about different scents, being honest with you. But I have been interested for a while on how or if I wanted to pursue a path in making scents. NO KNOWLEDGE, whatsoever. But really willing to learn. Love your work.

I don't think so. Wafts from the Loft have done great videos talking with perfumers. It's just tough to edit hours and hours down to a reasonable runtime!
What a wonderful video, thank you Chris for introducing Aaron to us. Seeing him deconstruct a fragrance both on FM and his own rapidly growing channel, is totally beguiling for me.
Working in the company of such a gifted individual, to create something totally unique must’ve been truly humbling for you all.
For far too long, perfumers have been locked away with gagging orders slapped on them by the giant houses. To my knowledge, only Frédéric Malle has recently shown significant recognition to the genius & artistry of the perfumer.
Perfumery has always been an art form and the evidence is now there for us all to witness, whilst watching Aaron work.
Thank you to you both for giving your viewers an opportunity of such a wonderful experience.

Fragrance has always been a love of mine ever since I first smelt Givenchy Pi on my father 18+ years ago. Getting the chance to make my own fragrance would be the ultimate holiday gift! Loved the video and was so impressed that while you two gents were teasing each other, she was over in the corner quietly making a fragrance that Aaron absolutely loved every step of the way lol 😂

Amazing! I wanna make my own scents, I probably will one day, I actually already do but it’s with those Arabian ouds that my parents brought from Middle East.
What an interesting surprise that the lady (sorry I didn't catch her name) liked the band Tool! I was really impressed since metal is mostly listened by a male audience, and what she said about prog metal just resonated with me and after that I couldn't stop smiling, that was amazing

Love this concept. I would be interested in having Aaron helping me make a fragrance. In memory of my beautiful wife who unexpectedly passed. Her favorite notes with mine would be unbelievable gift..

I’d like to do the course with Aaron because I’d gain a lot more knowledge around how perfume is produced and this could give me a good base to start my own business, I know I’d be gaining experience from a great guy, I love how he’s able to distinguish the chemicals in fragrance, like when he did the blind smelling and picked out the Chanel fragrance right away.
Great video you should definitely have a fragrance battle with George, Aaron’s attention to detail shows just how much time and effort goes into perfumery and that perfumery is definitely a form of expression and art, he wouldn’t let you make a mistake at all 👍

ATH, offering this course is a wonderful gesture. A bit far away (I am in Canada), but I would love to hear more of the little tips, as I like to mess with blends of EOs in alcohol, but haven't used any aroma chemicals (just cheats by spraying something I know will add some musk etc). Love the natural civet, castoreum, tobacco, sandalwood, vetiver, etc. And propolis tincture, hyraceum, and some homemade birch tar!

In the past 3 or so months I've become obsessed with fragrances (it's partly your fault Chris)...so much so that I’ve decided to start creating my own. Today I've just taken delivery of my first bunch of oils and aroma chemicals (oakmoss, amyris, myrrh, frankincense, vetiver, patchouli, oud synthetic, oud maleki, timbersilk, sylvamber, iso e super, pine leaf, cedarwood (atlas/Virginia), spruce, fir needle, cypress, thuja, black pepper, pink pepper, sandalwood, bergamot fcf, BHT, citronellol, linalool, farnesol, citral, aldehyde c12, lindenol) came home and watched this (coincidentally new) video to try and work out the fragrance creation process. A day with Aaron would be an AMAZING kickstart into the world of perfumery and a huge helping hand trying to figure out WTF to do next with my new obsession.

Great video.. I make coffee for a living. Would love the see if Aaron could develop deeper coffee compound complexity in perfume making. Interesting to see if you could make origin / varietal based coffee perfumes. I'm also dyslexic so I'm totally enjoying seeing how he operates. Great show guys.

Very interesting video to see each of your own personalities relate to the fragrances you each made, Aaron's knowledge seems incredible, being able to understand and remember what works with what and why. You can tell he isn't someone who just talks about how much time he's put into something but actually does put the time in and genuinely has a passion for fragrances and isn't just looking to please everyone with a mainstream fragrance instead pushing the boundaries of the norm. I would love the chance to create a fragrance that suits a streetwear/skate style as I don't really think theirs anything on the market currently like this.

I would love to win and have the workshop with Aaron. I think the way in which he talks about and breaks down a fragrance is fascinating, a lot to be learnt. Clearly a clever guy. I would also love to attempt my own scent! Great vid as always.
Getting an insight into the creation of a perfume and the interplay of aromas was very informative. Aaron has a great knowledge of aromas and it would be very interesting to get further insights into perfume creation. I personally like experiment by layering perfume oils.
I would love to see the battle video, please make it! I would love to come on Aaron's perfume making course, I've just recently got into fragrances I feel like a sponge watching these videos, I've also recently subbed to Aarons channel, I love his evocative reviews and descriptions.

I just started this a few months ago and it would be wonderful to get some professional guidance before I really fall down the rabbit hole. I am already using essential oils and now I bought a distilling apparatus to capture local scents which reminds me of childhood. Aaron is such a wonderful guy. Cheers from Denmark :)
That was super interesting, and I didn't realize just how easy it could be to just have a go at home, I thought you'd need lab equipment and stuff like that. Very cool.

Perfumery is such an interesting profession but goodness, you have to have quite a nose to suss out notes and mix things well. This is a great video, Chris. It's nice to see a fragrance being made like this, even thoough the process is kind of sped up thanks to Aaron. I'm loving this. :)
Loved the video, was really interesting to see a bit more into the process! A perfume making sessions with Aaron would be an absolute dream come true. I've wanted something I could consider my signature fragrance for a long time and what better way to find a fragrance which encompasses my taste and personality than by making it from scratch!

Being able to create fragrances has been a long dream of mine that i am pursuing at the moment, at home, with a mini lab that i've set up. However, I definitely feel that i need professional guidance because I would like to transform this passion into my day to day job. For me, creating fragrances for my loved ones and people in general is the most beautiful and personal gift in this world. Whomever will be the lucky winner will have the time of his life, for sure.

Just finished watching and I must say, first of all, GREAT editing on this. I don't know how many hours of footage you had to work with, but you apparently managed to find all the golden moments and strung them all together PERFECTLY! This video flowed beautifully, was never boring, and watching the process unfold while witnessing each of your trials and discoveries was FASCINATING! And you all had some good banter and many great quips throughout! 😄 Secondly, I soooo wish I could be entered into that giveaway drawing, but sadly I'm across the pond in the States. 🥺 In any case, I'm sure the lucky one who gets selected will have great fun and gain much from the experience.

What a great prize, I would love to win. Please do more videos like this. Love hearing about aromachemicals and fixatives(?) and how certain notes aren't really a scent but change the fragrance in a different way, very interesting.

My quest has been to find the one, maybe I’ve found a few ‘god yes’ frags but not quite there ... I’d live to explore fragrances, have some guidance, and see what comes out the other end.
Will probably sit there recreating CDNI but what if that Enigma / Nawab of Oudh / Herod hybrid is waiting to be made??!!?
