I'd recommend others to at least look into some type of study material, don't just go in after only doing the practice test because the ASVAB has much more to it than the practice offers.

Don’t want to act like I’m bragging but here’s my advice:
The practice asvabs don’t give you a good read. I got mid 70’s on the ones my recruiter gave me, wasn’t feeling too great because I needed a 110 GT for my preferred MOS. I worried about the test for a couple straight weeks, but only studied a little. I slept well, did some practice math and reading, and focused on the test, and I got a 97.
What ever score you think you’ll get, you’ll probably do better. You got this.

98 PiCat and verified it at MEPS. Didn't study. What kept me from getting a 99 was the automotive section (not a car guy).
    Pro-tips.
#1 Take your time, you can't go back to a previous question so make sure you're as confident as you can be.
#2 Bring energy drinks. You're gonna get tired and our brains use up an enormous amount of our energy. You'll be sitting there for at least 2 hours. I had 3 redbulls and powered through it.
#3 study for the electrical/mechanical parts of the exam. Some basic stuff would have helped me. Most of the other stuff on the test you don't have a reasonable chance of studying for imo. It's just otherwise too broad (vocabulary for instance).
I have a stellar strategy for doing the spatial reasoning portion of the test. I'll post a video of it if I get some likes and comments asking for it.

Depending on what you did, it's fairly easy to get a criminal record expunged. Or at the very least knocked down, or have comments put on it which can make it waiverable. For example in your medical history which you don't have to provide btw. You can visit the hospital and tell them you don't agree with their evaluation. They'll either get it removed or altered depending on how they judge your current condition. Similarly there are many lawyers out there that specialize in expunging or altering peoples police records. Talk to the jurisdiction you were convicted in and talk to a lawyer about setting up a hearing or appointment, I believe in you brother.

I will be honest, from my personal experience, try to learn the BASICS of each and every category. Don't focus on just ONE. If you really want a 80+ AFQT, *Even though once you start going that far, it doesn't do much since qualifications aren't that high unless you are going to Navy Nuclear or something*
I studied just about everything for basics. So things like what a Diode is, a Resistor, Etc. would be good for a section like Electronic Information, or how current, resistance and voltage works.
On my pretest, I made a 42 AFQT, but on the actual ASVAB i took, i made a 82. Granted, the AFQT is only four line scores i think, but if you TRUELY want all the options, jobs, and opportunities possible, study for all the categories for it. At 4:58, the idea of AFQT being for ALL jobs is a little iffy to me. For instance, I'm going for a 94F (Computer Detection Systems Reparier) at meps, and the MAIN requirement they were worried about is a 102 in EL instead of worrying about a GT score. So it depends on the jobs you are interested in when it comes to line scores.
And when it comes to jobs, pick something you probably would like. For instance, 94F work on, well, what's in the title of the job. But essentially it's things like Night Vision goggles, some other systems, computers. I picked that MOS simply because, i enjoy fixing, repairing, and upgrading my computer at home. So since i like doing that, and the 94F does something REALLY similar to what I like to do as a hobby, it would probably work out for me in terms of liking the MOS.

I got a 47 on the practice test and I take the actual ASVAB on Wednesday there are great apps, at least on apple, my favorite one is called “ASVAB practice test 2018” it’s logo is a Star, I showed my recruiter and he’s referring it to other people, it’s free and if you get a question wrong it makes you get it correct twice before you can go to the next level.

I graduated HS last year, recently took my asvab test and my line scores are all at least 120. Havent picked a job yet bc I have to get a waiver approved but I'm told I can pick basically any available job due to such a high score

I would like to thank the U.S ASVAB test so much😌 so I took the ASVAB in junior year 2 times. The first test we HAD to (decision made by our government ) for it was our grade units day to take the ASVAB and I passed (barely) then we took it a second time ( issued by the government AGAIN says its something we can use to practice for the college entrance test) and I got a bit of a score (a little better then the other one) and weeks go by and I receive my ENVELOPE ✉️ and ETC...... and a month went by it was time for the COMET (college entrance test) some juniors were chosen to take the exam (and I was lucky enough to be chosen) and the ASVAB had helped ALOT and I passed the COMET and got my expectance letter and I am SO HAPPY! It was all thanks to the ASVAB. But there is one thing I’m worried about.... my paper said the deadline or expiration date is in 2020! I graduate in 2020 ! Can I extend it? Cause I passed college already can’t I at least go get a taste of college? Any advice?

What part did you struggle with the most? I got a 47 on the practice test (the math killed me, I ran out of time) but aced the reading/writing. I didn't feel too bad about my score until I looked at the comments online and apparently everyone and their mom scored a 90 or higher.
