I mean tbh for sake of pity pride he kinda disregards the mission of bringing the potion to the location and tries to heal himself with the very same product he's supposed to deliver even though he could run away and preserve at least one sample. If Vike just got away with one I'm sure it would be good enough, he was robbed after all, it's understandable reason, it's not like Kits would need anything else from him, they both got for one potion out of 3. Instead he just couldn't let his pride be shaken up like this and stood his ground at 3:16 which resulted to his death. It's kinda the same for Kits too. Both are too deep into a fight to keep their pride as duelists that they end up much worse than started (Kits losing an eye and Vike... yeah)
@@reidj2226 he saw that it worked and he was injured so he had to heal. He also needed to kill or harshly injured kit so that she could not intervene with him delivering it after he drank it, even though that would ruin the whole "deliver it for testing"
I really like the small little details in the first few minutes of the fight Vike often keeps his longsword in front of him, and when he swings, he doesn't do wide swings often (he does but only one or two), therefore not leaving himself vulnerable, Vike also doesn't go super close to Kits in the sword exchange, but just enough to allow him to hit and not be in the range of Kits' sword at the same time, until he did that thrust at 1:59 that allowed Kits to close at and bop him in the face with a swift kick Note how Kits also uses a rock tied to a stick with a vine at 3:01 as opposed to their dagger, however historically, blunt weapons have been used to help bypass knight's armor, whether that weapon be a flail, a warhammer, a mace, a mallet, etc. Kits could have been trying to go for the gaps in Vike's Armor with the Sabre (e.g. under his helmet) earlier, but when that proved to be ineffective due to Vike's much higher skill in sword combat, Kits swapped to using bludgeoning Vike although still is just better in pure head-to-head combat than Kits, so he still manages to overpower Kits. Then Kits attempts to prevent Vike from drinking the health potion by typing the vine around his arm, which works, but allows Vike to do the one thing he needed to do the most, which was to close the distance Kits dodges the first few hits, but then, Vike steps on Kits' hand. A brilliant tactical move to stop Kits from moving, allowing Vike to deliver the final blow. Which would've worked if Kits didn't have the potion. Very cool animation
Jesus, Vike's defeat was clever and BRUTAL. I love Kit's adaptability and quick thinking, it makes her so unique as a stick fighter. Using the environment, the potions, and even just the basic material on the ground is something I don't typically see used in a lot of stickfights. And best part? You can FEEL the stakes, because of how BRUTAL some of these blows are. After the last fight, knowing Kit can lose by someone overpowering/outsmarting her, it kinda made this fight not exactly clear who would win. You fuckin cooked Proish, keep going
I’m being 100% honest when I say this is one of the coolest dojo duel’s I’ve ever seen. Everything about it from the music, the story, the animation, and the comic-like framing, had me hooked from beginning to end, and gave dojo duels a flavor I’ve never seen before. I’ll be endlessly rewatching and analyzing this animation, and I wish you the best of luck in your creative endeavors🔥

Also really like how the contex and environment played a role too to put everything on play and not just the characters. The choreography is alwyas spot as well as the effect and camera angles. I would never stop on saying how underrated this guy is. I also might be so attacted and biased because goooosh I love kits!! she has so many dynamics as a character, she's cool, and has pride but also very emotional and most of the time not as great as she portrays herself having to always rely on her quick thinking when an actual fight blows up that as good as it is it isn't 100% reliable with all the emotion and things taking into the account during the moment. you're amazing! keep it up plss

I notice a comic book style presentation in your animations! With the dialogue bubbles in the first duel and the narrator speech boxes and the split screen like frames in this one! Haven't seen this style since AquanaKnight's 'The Madness' and I think you do it so well!
I adore this animation. From the intro to the credits, it's super creative and beautifully executed. The entire intro sequence kicks off the duel perfectly with a genuine motive and StabStabMan did a really great job on the narration. Phenomenal work from everyone involved, this is extremely inspiring.

woah the action and choreo was seamless and as viseral as it was cerebral, really enjoyed the different "paneling" and the changing camera angles. This was unique and a joy to watch
this video made me search up the effectiveness of full plate armor, someone on youtube used a 1000lbs draw crossbow on one, the kind of crossbow that needs you to carry a crank around, and it poked a hole in the breastplate but bounced off and couldn't get deep enough to injure, and they have chainmail covering joints which make them almost invincible against swords Their biggest weaknesses were actually overheating and the weight of the armor, if a fight's not over in a couple minutes they'll collapse

As soon as the action began, I immediately found myself enamored with everything from the dynamic, comic book-style framing to the clever use of the potions to that entire fucking tree scene. May had a lot of big releases but I think this is my favorite Dojo-related thing to come out not just during this summer, but the entire year so far. You’ve genuinely gotten on the level of some of the biggest names in this community if not surpassed them in certain ways. Even if it took a whole year, I’m so proud of you, though I can’t say for certain how much that means to you at this point. Still, I hope you get what I’m trying to say. I get something as big as this probably took a toll on you, but I’d strongly encourage you to keep animating. You have something deeply special in you, something I’d love to see go places. Came here from the newest dojocast. And this is one of the most unique duel I've seen, even in all stickfigure animation it could be among one of my favourite. I find myself kept coming back and rewatching it these past 2 days, it's just full of details and so so charming. This really deserves more attention. I'm such a big fan of you now, really looking forward what's next to come!
I dont know how many times i've watched with, it's just so goddamn good. i couldn't even imagine how to make something this cool, and in only a year. i'm probably gonna keep coming back to this for a while :]
What a good day to be alive, since this animation instantly became my favourite, im gonna share my opinion: Act 1: Something i liked is how the duel starts, it starts directly with the action while showing the characters names and making an introduction of the premise, in a way that gives me a feeling of a fable that i never imagined it would be even possible. Something to mention is the use of black bars, it was interesting to see that the shapes of it were similar of comics like in 1:58. Act 2: I appreciate the gestures that Kitsumii does at some specific parts of the animation like in 2:17 pulling the middle finger, i see it as a good way to give a character personality during fights, i can easily tell that she likes to make fun of her enemies when taking advantage. After 2:31 (reminding me of the mobile game called Vector), the animation starts to get from good to just spectacular, like it just feels so organic, the shadows are good and the general comic aesthetic of it shines a lot, giving the animation unique visuals that im sure i will never see in other animations. Also, 3:24 is animated really well wtf. Act 3: 3:36 Was something that i never imagined it would be possible with animation, the lack of black bars and golden hour aesthetic makes it appreciate more the environment, 3:43 is a specific moment where Vike realises his death and everytime it gives me the feeling of living a unique moment of life somehow. From there, the rest of the animation is a huge inspiration for me to be ambitious with my own projects and know that animation is a powerful media that anybody can take the effort to learn or appreciate it's characteristics, and im glad that other people can also have the luck of watch this masterpiece and be inspired by it.
