This channel got me playing sims2 again 😅 So many details in the game. Learned yesterday while waiting for a taxi you can use the same phone booth to prank call.
Interesting detail about sims 3 birds: large bird can "imitate" the sound of ther doorbell(the sim that heair it will go outside to check the door) and the phone ring tone (The sims that hear it will answer the phone and get angry when they realize it didn't really ring). in my game it happend two times: first with a falcon and the second time with a sixsam owl, i didn't teach them to do that, they just knew it so i don't know how to trigger it.

I remember the first time I had a big bird in Sims 1, I forgot to feed it for two days (I was a kid back then), and when I remembered I had a bird, when to check on it and found the poor thing upside down. Never again I forgot to feed my birds in Sims 1.
If im remembering correctly, in the sims 2, birds could also die from neglect. My sims often wanted birds when they were in university. So i would make sure they were fed, but i never really interacted with them. After a while, the bird would start pulling its feathers out and then die after a couple of days
Sims 2 birds are the most high poly, but Sims 3 really adds a lot of gameplay and variety! And WOW coldblooded - I had no idea cats could kill in Sims 1 and 3!! Especially in Sims 1 it's shockingly good animation AND coldblooded how the cat can open the cage and everything! Sims 4 would/could never.
Sims players relationship to EA nowadays feels like one of those movies where a person ask their partner why they never do anything together anymore or buy each other flowers or talk about things and instead of seeing the meaning of what they're saying, the partner just say something like "you want flowers? I'll buy you flowers if that's important."
It was a hilarious video:))) 'Tastes like chicken'!🤣 Sims 1: "What a variety! Great details! How did they pull it off 20 years ago!" Sims 2: "Such an incredible animation, trully astonishing!" Sims 3: "I've been playing this game for 10+ years but I haven't seen all of the birds!" Sims 4: "Bugaga.... Ahahahahaha🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣"
I had no idea you could teach the parent to dance in sims 1. I still play sims 1-3, and I swear I will never stop finding secrets for sims 1, sheesh, what a game.
cats and dogs honestly could’ve just been a pack for all pets, and they didn’t have to add in brindleton bay. i would’ve been happy if it was just a pack of cats, dogs, birds, rodents, that were all as high quality as the cats and dogs. just all pet stuff, pet build items, CAS, gameplay. they didn’t need to add a whole world, they could’ve put that budget into giving us more actual pets of better quality
I enjoyed how you showed all the birds - interactable and just for liveliness. I esp enjoy learning something new about the games I hadn't played. I might have done a spit take when it was like crow, amazon, falcon... BAM BIG BLUE OWL. Thank you!
I love how much TS3 gave into their expansions. TS3: Pets literally kept you sated with given pets, and TS4 is taking how much to even reach that single expansion pack greatness?
lol the small birds you zoomed into from the Sims 1 are literally nothing and then sims 4 is out there with bird models that actually look worse than the rest of the Sims 1 birds... I love the Sims 3 owl, it's so pretty.
As a kid playing the sims 2 having no idea how to play it... I... didnt know how to clean the cage and was confused why they kept dying. So I just deleted the cage with the dead parrot and bought a new cage.
sims 3 pet birds dont learn to talk in my game aswell. like i get the notification but it doenst change anything. no new interaction, the “teach to talk” interaction is still there. also they relationship never rises. makes me sad, i remember if working perfectly when i was younger it was so much fun. i have a vanilla game aswell, no mods. idk why its not working.
Honestly I find bird feeder charming. Probably due to having one myself and loving watching birds and squirrels (and rarely mouse/rat when sun has already set) through the window. Including birds to gardening is also a big plus in my books. Just wish EA would have done something more with birds in 4.
Sims 2 pet birds are the cutest but the little bell and set free interaction is better with 3. Also the animal finding thing was cool. The wild birds are cute but I can't believe we still don't have pet birds
There are also Sixam Owl and Raven Familiars for Spellcasters in Realm of Magic. Life & Death has also now added a perched Crow. (Two actually. A regular one that needs fed, and Grim's Ascendent Crow that doesn't)
There are also the flocks of pigeons and seagulls in Sims 4 which cats can chase and bring back feathers. Sims can also scare them. It's not much really. The only flocks which you can interact with are in the cats and dogs world and the get famous world. Flocks exist in other worlds but you can't interact.
Yeah, I agree that Sims 3 had some of the best bird stuff, with both small AND large birds and a decent variety of birds to adopt. Though I'm not sure how I feel about getting one's cat to go and snag you a bird. . . XD Sims 4 really feels like the odd one out without any pet birds, but I'm not sure how they could add them in without giving off more "My First Pet Stuff" vibes.
my sims 3 save had an african grey named carl (after my bfs real african grey, rip carl) who my sims children had their entire lives and when I booted up the game yesterday he was just… gone 💔 not in any sims inventory or household inventory, not dead in his cage, no notifications that he had died or flown away :( idk what happened and im still sad. he wasnt even real and I miss him 💔💔💔💔

I had no idea you could teach the parent to dance in sims 1. I still play sims 1-3, and I swear I will never stop finding secrets for sims 1, sheesh, what a game.
Parrot*
cats and dogs honestly could’ve just been a pack for all pets, and they didn’t have to add in brindleton bay. i would’ve been happy if it was just a pack of cats, dogs, birds, rodents, that were all as high quality as the cats and dogs. just all pet stuff, pet build items, CAS, gameplay. they didn’t need to add a whole world, they could’ve put that budget into giving us more actual pets of better quality
I enjoyed how you showed all the birds - interactable and just for liveliness. I esp enjoy learning something new about the games I hadn't played. I might have done a spit take when it was like crow, amazon, falcon... BAM BIG BLUE OWL. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!!
My favorite low poly bird are the chickens before they made modeled chickens.
Sims 3, no doubt about it! My sims has a parakeet right now :D
I love how much TS3 gave into their expansions. TS3: Pets literally kept you sated with given pets, and TS4 is taking how much to even reach that single expansion pack greatness?
True! Reptiles are still missing even til this day
yay, more red plumbob!
I think in Sims 3, if there are two or more bird trees, the big birds can go to a different one when flying around.
You're correct, my bird often flew from the tree to the cage lol
Funfact: Cats and Dogs from Sims 4 also added birds but they are just chaseable seagulls
I love the: 8:13 "meow, meow, meow-meow"
I was so sure sims 4 didn't have birds 😅 I forgot all about cottage living. Too bad there are only wild birds.
Why did the birds poly count get WORSE after sims 2 lmao
cause ea has 0 standards
lol the small birds you zoomed into from the Sims 1 are literally nothing and then sims 4 is out there with bird models that actually look worse than the rest of the Sims 1 birds...
I love the Sims 3 owl, it's so pretty.
Common Sims 3 W
They added upon what Sims 2 had created, and they’re just a tiny part of the Pets expansion pack
That male duck with reduced copies 19:05 😂😂😂 (that's not how a female with ducklings looks like, they are all brown)
I didn't know that! Thank you for pointing it out
As a kid playing the sims 2 having no idea how to play it...
I... didnt know how to clean the cage and was confused why they kept dying.
So I just deleted the cage with the dead parrot and bought a new cage.
Sims 2 can do no wrong in my eyes but Sims 4 disappoints yet again lol
And of course Sims 3 overachieves, as usual lol
The squack of the big birds in sims 1 was so annoying lol.
Yes! Why are they so annoying? It's like they're punishing the player for buying a bird lol
@@TheRedPlumbobtbh that’s accurate to real pet birds lmao
Wait... there's OWLS in sims 3?! 😮 Now i need to go find them!
They're extremely rare apparently
Great video and well done for capturing all those low poly birds, I imagine that took some doing! 🐦
Thank you! The hardest part was just remembering the specific spots. I couldn't remember where to find pidgeons in Sims 4 but I know I've seen them
There were pet budgies in Sims 1?!?! 😮
I've learned so much in this video. Unbelievable 😂
Hope they introduce more birds in the future
I hope so too!
sims 3 pet birds dont learn to talk in my game aswell. like i get the notification but it doenst change anything. no new interaction, the “teach to talk” interaction is still there. also they relationship never rises. makes me sad, i remember if working perfectly when i was younger it was so much fun. i have a vanilla game aswell, no mods. idk why its not working.
Sounds like a bug that was never fixed :/
Holy crap the sims 2 and 3 bird death is so morbid 😨
There are also the flocks of pigeons and seagulls in Sims 4 which cats can chase and bring back feathers. Sims can also scare them. It's not much really. The only flocks which you can interact with are in the cats and dogs world and the get famous world. Flocks exist in other worlds but you can't interact.
Yeah, I forgot to mention those. Thank you!
Sims 3 birds can also fly away from the Bird Tree and leave forever.
I'm not sure if they would even mind repeating the "my first pet" fiasco tho lol
"There's a penguin that visits sometimes" what?
Yep, there's a penguin! I'll talk about unique animals once I get to horses
Such adorable video ❤🕊 Love Sims 2 implementation of flying birds in the house. Very impressive
my sims 3 save had an african grey named carl (after my bfs real african grey, rip carl) who my sims children had their entire lives and when I booted up the game yesterday he was just… gone 💔 not in any sims inventory or household inventory, not dead in his cage, no notifications that he had died or flown away :( idk what happened and im still sad. he wasnt even real and I miss him 💔💔💔💔
This actually happened to me too cause I saved the game when he was flying around!
Birds are immortal in The Sims 4? Cool!
In my opinion, Sims 3 birds looked WAY more realistic back then...I mean do we have to talk about the Sims 4 birds...?
Low-poly Polly’s make the world go ‘round 🐦
Such an adorable video ❤🕊 Love Sims 2 improvement that allows birds to fly around. Very impressive
In Sims 2, idc what the game says. That's a Kestrel.
1:25 I fully expected the finished name to be Mr. Beast, the internet has broken me
So....basically Sims 4 birds are either 8-frame low poly props, or immortal Cinderella birbs, got it.
I‘m pretty sure the birds are going to need their own gameplay pack, if not even a whole expansion pack. They better make the birds good then
I remember being so surprise when walking with my Sim somewhere in the park and I saw a wild bird. A BIRD! I have never seen a wild bird in The Sims just roaming around freelty. Then my friend befriended the crow and it was her pet.
And it was quite recently, when I start playing TS3 again.
I realllly miss sims 2 but I think I’m going to re download my sims 3 tomorrow and play my
The fact that Sims 4 birds look worse than Sims 2 which came out twenty years ago 💀
I really hope Sims 4 comes with pet birds again 🙏🏻❤️
I always sold the birds in Sims 3, they are really valuable somehow
