I currently have a 2023 Tacoma Trd sport and it is very reliable but worlds away from the tundra. I recently went down to my local dealership and purchased the platinum model which I will take delivery in a couple days. It is a truck that is going to last me for years to come. Thanks for the tour.
I recently bought a 2024 Tundra. The dealer explicitly stated to me that the crankshaft bearing problem was fixed for 2024. He was under informed or lying. The 2024s are blowing up, just like the 2023/2022s!! I suspect that Toyota isn't extending the 2022/2023 engine recall to the 2024s until they have sold the 2024s off their lots. I suspect that the bearing problem is not completely explained by debris left in during forging in Alabama and Japan. Concern: The new engines might disintegrate, too, if they were built before April 2024 when Toyota changed the front crankshaft bearing. I suspect that bearing change was "the fix." If so, there are lots of 2024 Tundras that will blow their engine. Instead of focusing on engineering, Toyota is focusing on complicated, expensive trim items. Remember "new Coke", which was supposed to be better than old Coke? Below, please find a great analysis of the bearing problem by the Car Care Nut! ruclips.net/video/EyI4ujjxxuk/видео.htmlsi=kjGux5M
Nope, they have problems as well with the V-8. The problems are appearing around 200K miles with some head gaskets being blown and the heads becoming warped. Just wait on the 2025 and get the new one.
Did they fix the plastic dash rattle/hum, plastic door panel rattle, and the wind leakage between the door seals when going faster than 55mph? If so, my 2024 needs some of those "fixes."
I just bought a 2025 and there are no rattles or wind noise. There is a rattle when I turn the bass all the way up and crank the stereo volume though. It's a pretty nice truck tbh. I didn't know anything about these vehicles but bc of the bad press from the early engines, I got 72 months at 0 percent so I called the dealer and bought it.
Waiting for new engines to be ironed out, love the v8 but didnt excpect them to keep them moving forward. One thing toyota honors their warranties unlike gmc and ford or dodge, still a reliable v8 will last forever with maintenance
I have a 2008 limited 6 passenger 4.7 l with 110000 m. why would I buy a new one till all bugs are ironed out. Been a reliable truck and bought it used.
ok let look at it first put a turbo on the V8 and see what you get . then towering with 8 000 RPM to get the Horsr power the motor not going to like it
Literally the same vehicle, they updated and fixed the engine in the 2024 which is now being used in the 2025. And 2024 offered hybrid just as 2025 does. There were minimal upgrades made that makes no difference. Same power and torque across the models. After speaking with Toyota engineers and mechanics, it is the same truck. Save money and buy the 2024 this year boys!

@@kennethwalton5582don't use 0w20....use the original oil spec of 5w30. Your engine will thanked you.

I love this truck
I have a 2002 tundra with over 300k mikes and runs brand new. Yes i just did a 1k tune. Not buying a new tundra anytime soon
Did they solve the engine, turbos, rear diff and poor fit/finish issues?
No.
seems like 2K mile engine replacement schedule is not long enough.. i got 360K on my first gen,. so...
Halfway into this, and I hear a maybe this will get 1000lbs more towing. The rest sounds basically the same as the 2024s.
Where's the tow hooks?😢

The tundra does not get 20 mass a gallon. You’re lucky if you do 16.
Sorry I will keep my 08 tundra, the new ones are garbage.
Too much money for a truck. It’s not a luxury vehicle it’s a truck no matter what you put in it. Supposed to be a work truck for the working folks.
2022 and up Toyota tundra are junk and junk. They try to buy new one folks. Where is the standard tow hook? Stupid and dumb engineering
agreed junk
