    I would love to hear a controller tell me "outstanding job!" You did great. I'm just a student pilot (50 years young), but would love to fly into Oshkosh in my CH650 (someday).

    Loved that you didn't edit the clip at all. I love watching the whole approach. Also... It's pronounced "Ripin". Sorry... From the area, stupid pet peeve of mine. Also, I chuckled at the "burp". Haha!

      If you want it pronounced Ripin, spell it Ripin.

    Thanks for following my direction to get off the runway and on the ditch so quick. There was traffic behind you. A lot of pilots that day stop on the runway to get their sign out.

      Oh wow!!! What does it say..."SLOW"" lol
      Yea...the guy did a great job of following instructions to a T. I couldn't understand a word you said. Except "yellow dot" Just kidding. ;)
      That was fun to watch from the air with this great pilot.~

    Crazy. BTW immediately after watching this I watched Nick Heintz of Zenith Aircraft on his video, landing 36R immediately on your heels (he got the order to switch runway on final) and his video also captures the moment you were told to haul ass past yellow due to high speed approach at your 6. Can't see that traffic in his video but the ATC's attaboys say it all.

  • @toddhelmkamp1408

    The Fiske arrival and Rush Lake Hold was flown poorly and not per instructions. Having flown it many times, the approach was erratic in altitude and speed, the hold was not flown as depicted, then there was a shortcut on the south end of rush lake that caused a turn back the west and south creating a head on in respect to incoming traffic to ripon followed by a 180 degree turn to line up with the tracks. Very dangerous flight... Airspeed and Altitude control. A very good video to teach the approach with respect to focus on aircraft control and navigation in a tight airspace environment.

    If the atc would slow down and speak clearly, he wouldn’t have to repeat himself. If he didn’t have to repeat himself, he wouldn’t have to yell like an auction barker.

  • @vegasjill21

    Well...., I"M Impressed!! Great job. I totally understand why...but MAN' I couldn't understand hardly anything that controller said to you!! They talk SOOOOOO fast. Do you guys have to listen to a lot of auctioneers before you fly to get used to that??? (Serious Q)
    Thanks so much for taking us with you!! That was nice and I loved the sweet landing...right on that 'yellow dot'......that 'yellow circle' . lol
    Thanks again.

      When controllers get very busy with traffic they tend to talk very fast due to volume of traffic

    Really enjoyed this video. I've never seen an RV with the control stick configured that way. It seems imminently practical, not to mention lighter and more comfortable for a right seat occupant. I would prefer one regular length side stick near the left side of the cabin above the left knee and without the "antler", but to each i own, right?

    • @zenithac
      @zenithac  6 лет назад +1

      The center-mounted "Y-stick" is very popular with Zenith builders, whether flying from the left or right seat

    • @douglasmcintyre3297
      @douglasmcintyre3297 6 лет назад

      I had no idea this aircraft was a Zenith and obviously didn't read the descriptive caption below the video field. My bad.
      I still prefer side sticks if the fuselage is wide enough to accommodate them, because they free up the center console for things relatively short like the pitch trim wheel/indicator, flap handle/indicator, fuel selector etc. Kudos to all you guys at Zenith for spotting my comment and replying so quickly. Happy landings from Beautiful British Columbia!
