- The San Francisco 49ers introduced Kyle Shanahan as the franchise's next head coach and John Lynch as the team's next general manager on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017.
Thank you Jed, for brining these 2 men into our organization and making us contenders again.

Tomorrow the Packers play the 49ers at Levi's Stadium for the NFC Championship and a chance to play in the Super Bowl.
This season meant a lot to the fans (including myself). It was very exciting to watch. Everyone played with a lot of heart.
No matter the outcome, I will always be proud of this team.

I have stuck with this team through bad times good times horrible times this is great news for my niners since Harbaugh was hired!
Me too buddy. Last season was just awful, even more awful than the mid 2000's but I stuck through it. We'll probably have to sit through at least one more bad season, but hopefully our patience is rewarded.
Griffin this season that just passed was even worse than the 2004 Niner team and they were also a 2 and 14! but they did not lose 13th straight

Between parting ways with Jim Harbaugh and hiring John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan, Jed York had a very hard look in the mirror with his hirings.
Jed decided, "okay, I'll let John and Kyle do their things and I'll stay out of the way."
Three years later, the 49ers are in the Super Bowl.
I think if York leaves these two guys alone, they can build this team up to a playoff team.

Heartbreak was before they were hired. Heartbreak was Tomsula, Kelly, Nolan, and Singletary. The NFCCG and SB loses hurt, but I'll take that over the trash we've been the last 20+ years outside of the Harbaugh years.

100% with Jeds decision to hire Shanahan / Lynch ... love ability to play fast .... BUT please be able to run the ball and use the clock ......... tired defense always on the field couldn't play in second half of Super Bowl .... learn from your mistakes

I really like Kyle and Lynch. Kyle especially seems real as hell. I think this Superbowl loss will actually benefit him. Id imagine a million questions on the play-calling in a historic Superbowl loss (don't forget the Defense allowed all the points) would create a MASSIVE chip on Kyle's shoulders. I believe in him. I also don't deal in absolutes, honestly logic dictates variability, thats the realistic truth in all things. I hope Kyle WRECKS the League, it wont happen in 1 year though, we dont have any depth.
