Mr. Wilder is a superlative educator/narrator on things of Enfield & Quabbin/local history. There are precious few of these people left. Open your ears, mind & heart and enjoy this man's ( and remaining few) memories.
Mr. Wilder passed two years after this video was released. RIP
The SRVHS is doing a hike past his grandfather's homesite to the site of Smith's Village (where Bob was born & lived in his early years, I believe).
My grandafather Walter was from Dana i believe. Very sad to leave their homes...but they had no choice.
