Yous till can they just cost alot more than they did in 2019 lol. Thst being said you have a sweet ride already. I want to put the boost to the Boss when I can
As far as comparisons go, I think you did pretty well. I’d be curious to see how handling/suspension upgrades would make the boss stack up to a S550 (watts link for example) the gauge info on the S550 essentially has what the 13’ boss does but with a few extra performance settings.
Great comparison! I almost bought a 2014 GT with the Brembos, but didn't, and I'm glad I waited until I got my 16 GT premium PP. It is such a nice ride as a daily, and I really like the styling. It is a great car on the road track too for me, as I only take it out a couple of times a year. The Boss is certainly a good choice if you are looking for a collectable classic ride. Great job on the video!
I have a 2012 Boss 302. I think it is one of the best Mustangs ever made. It has 112k miles on it so I don't drive it a lot now. I daily a 2022 GT Premium. Two very different worlds. Both awesome, but the Boss is very special.
@@BrailsfordsRides there is a certain year that when you google “mustang and tiburon rear view” most people cant right away tell which one is which . It usually takes a little bit. I will double check but Im pretty sure it was a tiburon
Boss all day everyday but I'm biased lol. Question - I see that your looking into possibly getting a Paxton for your Boss. Why over something from VMP, Procharger (I can't get over the sound) Whipple etc? Nothing against Paxton at all just asking for your thoughts. I'm leaning towards Odin, plan on pulling the trigger in the next two weeks, for my 13 Boss.
TBH id rock any of them, I was thinking Paxton to purely keep the Boss intake manifold. They are also very reliable setups. But I would use a procharger, Whipple, VMP whatever. I just want 750 rwhp
@@biblinboss its a reasonable and safe number for the roadrunner motor, all you need to do to seal the deal is OPGs. Ive got a calimer stage 3 im going to put on once I teach my wife stick on my car
I sold my 2019 Bullitt for a 2012 Boss 302. I think if I went back to a S550 it would have to be a GT350 or nothing. I don't daily drive Mustangs so the Boss is the car for me. For under 40k, and if the Boss wasn't an option, I'd get a Terminator over an S550.
Im with you my brother, I dont daily mine either, I have a daily, a fox project, and the Boss. Plus the memories I've made with my kids in the car are unbeatable. It will always be in my family
Handling yes, power the Roadrunner in the Boss can handle more stock because the pistons are forged where as the S550 GTs are hypereutectic. Though the s550 has more power in 2018 plus what gives it an edge in a straight line is the 10r80 and the gearing. The Boss is lighter and has a nearly identical power to weight ratio. I hope to have a 2020 gt one day. Rhe boss is more about the heritage as far as buying today where as the s550 is more about modern comforts and more power at the wheels
17 and up is a full forged rotating assembly and hyper Pistons don't hurt in the 15 and 16 unless your running mad boost or nos. Going to spray my 16 till is says good bye 🤣🤣🤣
@@homershoots ive got a buddy on a video on my channel he pushed his 15 GT to 750 where the piston blew out. He rebuilt with fully forged and was pushing 1100 out of a Whipple setup. Ive got a couple vids on that car its bad ass. I think it's in the suggested vids when this vid ends. Everything else is forged like the Boss you are correct. S550 is an awesome platform to build, very stabile. I csnt wait to have my own one day.
My favorite mustang of all time is the boss 302 ! Biggest regret is not buying an orange one years back when I had the opportunity

I love my Boss and would love to have a gen 3 to daily! They are both special in different ways. 22 is much more refined and the Boss is a raw animal
I just traded my Comp O s550 for a Kona Blue BOSS. I wanted a more driver oriented car, and does it fit the bill.
That's interesting to hear from your POV going back in time. If you can get on the road track they are a blast
I daily my 2013 GT and plan on getting a 2018 10spd 5.0 for performance. Flex fuel, etc.
That's a sweet car/racecar combination. I have my Boss and will be building a street 87 GT I just picked up
I like the lines of the boss. The body style after that starts to remind me of a tiburon
ive never heard the hyundai comparison lol

A little off what you're lookin' for, you can get a early LX notch race car in that price range that'll run 8s/maybe 7s! Now that's FUN!
that in the quartermile--d'oh

I will take the Boss 302. I prefer the S197 over the S550. Both are excellent Mustang but the S197 is more in line with my driving preference.
