I have the same issue. Just watch this: ruclips.net/video/IelG5i0hwks/видео.html&ab_channel=MaartenLems It's the same video, but the sound works for me
the audio on this link is not available for copyright reasons but I love the curtsy to the least of the orchestra before playing. thank you. to each with the same respect makes for a greater society. x
We love anything she plays. My young daughter is a serious fan. We have seen her twice in Pittsburgh and both times she was totally awesome. A spectacularly gifted pianist and an equally stellar person. My children and I are fans for life!
I remember seeing Dangerous Moonlight at a very early age and have never forgotten this wonderful piece of music, I am now 78 yes old and still love it so much, June Connell.
My father adored this music. He bought a very simplified version for me when I was a little boy. When I had advanced into my teens, he scared up the well-known piano solo version for me and encouraged me to learn it "in my spare time." I could eventually pretty much play the thing, much to his pleasure. I don't have the fingers I had at that age, but I still enjoy playing around with it. Every time I hear it I have fond memories of my dad.
It's so much Happiness to see your graceful pianoplay You give something most touching at this sublime music....!!!!, Your Presence, Yourself... The One and Only Valentina Lisitsa....!!!!! Thank you very much Adorable Valentina
This is the first time I have seen her play and WoW....I don't think I've ever seen a concert pianist play with such emotion on their face as she did. She was feeling every note. Totally in awe.....love her!!!
Same here. I think . too, that Keith must have played the 70 year old recording done by Fiedler and Leo Litwin so many years ago. Valentina has a passion for this. WASP
Chakkri Srianan, Yes, Valentina Lisitsa has an inbelievebel piano technique, I play too the piano ( as amateur), and I can see Valentina's great talent. She is Magnifique!
Thankyou Valentina. This was the first piece of classical music I listened to when I was 8 years old .I think this is why I have been enjoying classical music ever since .
Probably the height of what is considered Romantic Classical but still, I love it. It's not for every day but when I do listen, I absorb it through every pore, feeling the emotion in it. This is a beautiful recording of it. Thank you!
I was a very young child when I first heard this and fell in love with the theme. Of late, I have fallen in love with Valentina's playing :-) I have downloaded a lot of her RUclipss. I wish she play in Mumbai someday.
What a great performance, I think the best live performance on RUclips! Gotta love Valentina for that... By far my favorite performance (although it's only a recording for piano only) is the version by Stephan Schappé.. It has so much more feel to it than any performance I've ever heard...
In the movie 'Dangerous Moonlight', for which this concerto was composed, Stefan says to Carol, “This music is you and me. It’s the story of the two of us in Warsaw, of us in America, of us in … where else I don’t know. That’s why I can’t finish it.” But, Richard Addinsell did finish it! (and so did Valentina Lisitsa!).
Lourival do Amaral.
Re. The movie Dangerous Moonlight not using Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 - Rach 2 was used in another wartime British romance movie, Brief Encounter, 1945.
No matter how somebody thinks about the musical quality of this piece - it is a very goon guidance to more serious compositions, epsecially for young people. And it is a good performance
Have you seen, "Dangerous Moonlight?" Perhaps a few you today - but so many know the music. That means Mr. Addinsell delivered the product the producers needed and wanted, and Valentina delivers it so deliciously. Rachmaninoff flavored? Maybe. But after all these 75+ years the music lives on, will you?
wattever333 Uh, what in heavens name are your rambling on about? "Mr." or "Miss?" "Elliot Rodger talking on his cell phone camera?" to name a few of your comments to my comment how great this piece of music is and the wonderful performance of Valentina, and that after 75 years its legacy lives on, will you? Meaning will we have legacy to leave the world like this piece seems to by Richard Addinsell? And you find that a stupid comment?? Very strange and unrelated to my comment completely. May I suggest that you ask your family doctor for a prescription for Lithium. Good luck, and don't wander around the neighborhood.
+BroadwayG ...This is what he is referring to.. '....But after all these 75+ years the music lives on,.. ''will you?''...Were you referring to..'Valentina Lisitsa'....because I thought you were
+Madpainter Ken ....No, I am not. I am referring to the musical composition ... who amongst us will be have made a contribution that will live on for almost 100 years? (and still going)..I used the word "legacy" to refer to what lives on. Maybe Valentina will live on ... BTW...Time will tell.

Dangerous Moonlight, film o polskim lotniku pianiście w czasie II wojny światowej). @Allen Miller "The world outside": I've just found on Spotify. To my surprise, surely this one will be a cover or a possible rendition, but ... anyway, thanks for the surprise.
Extremely beautiful movie of world war 2 Love envelop By two super lovers.... Can't see that anymore in our 21st movies...there might be, but it's not done totally with serious feelings... I don't know, I love 1940's movies...the innocence of two people always magnetized by human emotions...😁
Valentina was practicing to Philip Fowke's rendition of this piece on RUclips. Now she is herself on RUclips. Likely hers will surpass her reference's in terms of viewership.
My sound is ON, both in my laptop and in this video, but there is no sound!

RE - DO THIS WITH SOUND. Thanks. It would be great to hear Valentina perform this romantic work.
I remember seeing Dangerous Moonlight at a very early age and have never forgotten this wonderful piece of music, I am now 78 yes old and still love it so much, June Connell.
+June Connell
Life goes by very quickly doesn't it
+June Connell It can transcend the soul, and for that reason we don't know why.Maybe it is a human situation.
+June Connell Perhaps it was during Worl war II
me too!I have the vhs tape,a dvd and cd +lp of the movie and the concerto.
its like yesterday i saw her livestream when she first practiced this piece and learned it

BEAUTIFUL MUSIC, BEAUTIFULLY PLAYED. I always wanted to choreograph this exquisite composition.
Valentina Lisitsa, withouth doubt: pure expression and one of the bests pianists of the world! I admire you!!
I also watched some of the 3h20 study video, and I love it, I learned a lot about "feeling" the music. I am so grateful you put the BBC here Minanto.
Wow...what a beautiful piece of music!
Brilliant! Music of my maternal grandmother's country, Poland. Listening, I am always moved to intense emotion and hot tears.
Muy bella la obra y Valentina...🌿
Buenas tardes noches.
Feliz descanso.
Brilliantly played with great passion and emotion.
Probably the height of what is considered Romantic Classical but still, I love it. It's not for every day but when I do listen, I absorb it through every pore, feeling the emotion in it. This is a beautiful recording of it. Thank you!
+Gordon Martin Discutables?
Wonderful piece, wonderful pianist.

Beautiful gown with the most beautiful piece of music, I wanted to write about this in music class at DePaul but the instructor would not allow me
What words are adequate ? Sheer brilliance.
ESTE TIPO DE MUSICA JAMAS MORIRA NI SE IRA DE NUESTRAS MENTES. !!
This is the best version I have ever heard.
Her fingers are so feathery light when it needs to be. Amazing.

Her beauty and grace and STRENGTH amaze me. Watching her perform distracts me from the music and I don't mind!
she looks beautiful there and she is my favorite pianist of all time. Her charm combined with her amazing skill is what makes her a star.

La mejor interpretacion que he escuchado. Felicidades a Valentina

Me encanta.
immortal piece of music
I love watching her hands flying over the keyboards.
The audio doesn't work
I was surprised to hear Valentina playing such 'modern' music - a beautiful performance !!!!!
For me it is one of the finest written.
Piece for cinema, but one always forgets it was orchestrated by Roy Douglas

There is no sound for this since 2 weeks, strange.

Comprendo. Son talentos diferentes; con las raras excepciones. Gracias.
BRAVISSIMA ! ! ! ! !
the four coins version of this called the "world outside", is just beautifully done.......circa 1958 on epic records
@Allen Miller
"The world outside": I've just found on Spotify. To my surprise, surely this one will be a cover or a possible rendition, but ... anyway, thanks for the surprise.
She is the best.
SUPERBE !
Love this ending .. boob boom. No stately final two chords, just two definitive chords hard on each others' heels. Phenomenal!
oh my God!

Thanks for that--I couldn't remember --Philip Fowke's name, for me, the best 'Proms' rendition from a few years back.
wow !!
