Ya he is awesome sometimes he will though a blocker between the eyes of a guy that crashes the net but I would to it happens to much and guy don't get anything for it. 👍🤠
@The Weed Smoking Man did you forget how he played in the postseason and before then this last season? he’s had his struggles for sure but that statement is bullshit.
@The Weed Smoking Man if you don't know who jake allen is besides from this video then it's kinda stupid to point out how hes a "bad goalie" in the first place lol.
I've personally met a couple of these goalies being substituted in when themselves played in minor leagues... Reimer (used to play with Maple Leafs, in this video he plays with Panthers, and now he plays with Hurricanes) and and Grubauer (in the video he played with Capitals and now he is with Avalanche). It SUCKS they say. It sucks when it's you being pulled and it sucks to be the one substituting them! They have even said it. I'm halfway through the video and I've not seen Jonathan Quick being pulled... He IS THE MOST HOT HEADED GOALIE EVER! Honestly in the ECHL he was a cannonball waiting to be unleashed if he lost. He was only pulled FOUR TIMES in ECHL and the one time we were down by SIX when he was pulled. And he went MAD! He broke his stick off the back bar of the net. He went psycho right on the ice
I remember being 12 yo, and the Alaska All Star team lit me up for 8 goals and I went to the bench before getting pulled, so our "coach" left me in for two more goals(I couldn't see because of the tears in my eyes!!!) finally pulling me @10-0!!! We lost 20-0!!! Seriously, we couldn't clear OUR BLUE LINE!!!
@Dylan my worst was 12 🤣🤣 was called up to play in a game for a team that was 2 tiers above me because both their goalies were out. Tough game. In my defence 7 of the 12 goals were on wideopen breakaways. Defence wasnt helping too much lol
It's funny to me that in the first clip, the announcer is talking about the dude's struggles while he is literally a foot behind him. Hockey sideline reporting is wild lol
Thank you for putting out all these amazing videos! I always watch them when I'm doing my school work and it helps me get through my day. Happy holidays!
You didn't show the most famous one. When Patrick Roy was finally pulled in a game in Montreal an he said that he would never play for them again...Priceless!
Gotta feel for some of these guys getting pulled in the 2nd with like 3 goals against on >15 shots. That's not *that* bad for a small sample size, sometimes your team is putting you in bad spots, but you deserve to at least finish that game.
to pull a goalie after two or three goals is ridiculous unless a goalie allows 4 or more goals in one period, no wonder these goalies are upset, sometimes u might let in a few bad goals but than suddently play like an allstar....just happens. Seen this many times where a team comes back to win after the goalie flounders in the beginning
How bout a video of slap pass tic-tac-toe goals? Or one touch pass goals? #Request Like the Zucker goal (Minnesota vs Lightning) or the Zibenajad goal vs Ottawa
If I could break sticks and not have to worry about where new ones were coming from id be doing the same thing when I had had a bad game and got pulled.
One of the darkest times in the Florida Panthers history.... the Tom Rowe era. What an effing nightmare that guy was for the franchise. And to let Gallant go in lieu of Rowe behind the bench just killed it. I will never forget when Florida made that disgusting decision. Gallant went to the Stanley Cup finals the next year with Vegas, an expansion team at the time ffs.
Glenn Healy tells a story how he was getting shelled one night and told Tommy Fitzgerald to go to Islanders coach Al Arbour and get him out of there. Fitzgerald came back and Healy said, "Well, what'd he say?" "He said tell that fat so and so to get back in the net"
Sports are about teams. Only a few times can you really point to a single person's screw up. You win or lose as a single unit. It's not just the goalie, whole team is playing poorly in many of these cases.
Where is everyone watching the world juniors? I'm trying to find out where it is but can't find it. I saw somewhere that the US games were going to be on the nhl network or app but don't see anything.
And of course Binnington is now becoming an elite goaltender. He and Vasilevskiy were the only goalies to really test the Colorado Avalanche in the playoffs.
Jake Allen getting pulled twice in one period is a perfect summary of his career as a Blue. I’ve literally never seen someone get so many chances despite proving that he can’t be a starter.
the second one i don't understand. when it's 3-0 in the middle of the third, the problem isn't with the goalie, it's the entire team he could have just let him finish
its also the habs curse...Roy and Trembley thought that by talking again after all that time it would lift the curse but it only worked halfway since we got to the finla but came short
Crazy how a lot of these pulls are with 0 goals on the board. How do you expect to have a chance at winning with a new goaltender if your team can’t score a goal in the first place?
Everytime these goaltenders get into these situations I don't blame them. I blame the defencemen. If the opposing player has a clean shot on the net what are the odds the goaltender will stop it?
Honestly whats the point of pulling the goalie when you're down by five way into the third? Not like you're gonna turn that around, defense still probably sucks.
I'm surprised by some of these pulls. The first one with Lehtonen, it was a broken play in front of him, with several aborted shots. HARD to read. And, it was only 3-0 after that, almost half way through the game. The second one, Elliott was playing awfully deep in his net, but there were only 3 goals on 24 shots... that's not that bad. His team only got 15 shots, that's not his fault. Luongo looked a little slow on that, but his defense gave him no support. Of course, it was 5-0 on 17 shots, so a pull seemed in order there. Next, Holtby was pulled after only 3 goals? That shot was through a complete screen. Wierd pull. Rinne gets pulled in the third period after a brutal 2 on 1 with his team offering NO support. 9 shots? Pathetic, this wasn't Rinne's fault. Next we see Price pulled... but there's no indication of why. The goal on Howard... I don't know how much more he could do, and the game wasn't out of reach. Don't know the shots, but that didn't look like it was worth pulling him. I've seen the Lehner pull before, but I don't remember why he was pulled. Next it's Hutton being pulled after only 2 goals?! Wierd, especially considering how that second goal went in, he had NO chance. Then, Allen gets pulled after 2 more goals. I don't know how he could be faulted for either one, but that's 4 goals now. Maybe the pull was warranted. Seems to me a lot of these pulls weren't because the goalie wasn't playing badly, they were to try to motivate the rest of the team. As a goalie, I get that, but I hate it all the same.

can we all take a moment to appreciate that no matter how pissed off each one was they all had respect and manors for their replacement?
Yeah giving someone a house is pretty respectful
I think it's more of "good luck with this defense"
Binnington getting his first bit of ice time in the NHL... crazy.
A lot of these goals looked more like defensive breakdowns than goalie failures.
Sometimes they change goalies to change the momentum
@@tropicxgaming2046 changing goalies cuz of that is a joke
Yeah but they don’t show the other goals before the final one
Actually, they change goalies because they think it’s gonna fix the problem
Changing the goalie can help save their stats, and their morale. A goalie with a bad defense is a pissed goalie, a pissed goalie makes mistakes.
Carey price doesn't break things... He just stares through your soul
That is true but he is still my favorite goalie and
Calm people are insane when you finally get them angry. Would not want to see Price pissed off.
