Those blocker's are built tough, and like you said typically have a piece of plastic or hard composite material running the length of each side and if they're used correctly, they're like hitting someone with a brick. People think that they're just soft pillows but they're really not. Same with some leg pads as well. I had a pair of Bauer pads that also had a hard composite material running the length and my teammates hated them because if they rushed the net during practice like our coach had them do sometimes, they would run into my pads and they always said it felt like being kicked in the legs when they hit them

1:04, right before covid i actually got hit by something very similar to this, the difference is I (the goalie) was on the ground and the two skaters lost control and fell. The end result was pretty similar with me having a mild concussion. I didnt lose consiousness, but I feel this hit

I’m so frustrated that my team got nocked out in round 3 of the playoffs we did so good that season I scored 39 goals in the regular season and 17 in the playoffs! One a dude pocked our goalie’s glove when it was covered and my teammate who is a defender dropped the gloves and it was a pretty good scrap I loved watching it! LOL! I’m a goalie apart of fusion girls team and I’ve Ben hart like them and because we have more geer we can’t really take hits to the back because that’s where we’re least Portected from skates, sticks,punches, and even hits so I can realate to all of these goalies because when I was in a game I almost tore my lags appart because my knees did the backwards shimy.

I’m a goalie apart of fusion girls team and I’ve Ben hart like them and because we have more geer we can’t really take hits to the back because that’s where we’re least Portected from skates, sticks,punches, and even hits so I can realate to all of these goalies because when I was in a game I almost tore my lags appart because my knees did the backwards shimy.
