The Garntos converted a Gillig Phantom bus into a tiny living space perfect for a family of five. No space was wasted and they even had to pivot mid-build to create a bunkbed space for their new baby that was coming. One of many amazing things about the Grantos is they knew what was important for their family; and they created it, in Businante! The hood over the range that pumps air out of the bus, and the bathtub for the boys were a few of their non-negotiables and they turned out beautifully. The wood stove became a little bone of contention between Matt and JoAnna, but ultimately Matt prevailed and it looks perfect in the space. The Grantos personify taking the leap to tiny living as a large family and thriving. Congrats, Businante is beautiful!

When it comes to family travel, skoolies have really taken off! With the affordability of the platform and building options, I can see why people are building these!
This is a beautiful conversion. Where to house skoolies? In some of the skoolie channels the difficult part of having one is finding land or campsites that willingly allow skoolies onto their sites. This couple mention about staying on farm land. Are you aware of any networks that advertise spaces for skoolie owners?
Always butterflies and rainbows and every tiny home is beautiful we get it. But what does it cost to run a schoolie full time? Maintenance on one of those things can't be cheap. Is that why most of them are parked somewhere? Some states don't allow people to stay on there own land RV camping style like they seemed to be doing or even in a tiny home on wheels for that matter. Maybe informing your viewers of some of these issues would be a good idea from time to time or you can just stick to the butterflies and rainbows theme either way we will all watch them because there is just something about people giving self guided tours that is so fascinating on many levels.
and tommorow they will have 6 kids on the bus? they will manage to make them sleep on the roof
why making kids? for short space?
That is undoubtedly the cleanest bus build I’ve ever seen. Homey too.

This space looks HUGE and shows that you can do separate rooms, so happy this works for your lovely little family!

I love the design. The only thing I would change is the washer-dryer. I think it would fit nicer in the kitchen area, and that way you would have the 3rd bunk bed and storage space.
I think technically you can place the third bunk above the washer/dryer.

My favorite bus remodel so far. The only adjustment I would make is to switch out the fridge door so that it opens into the kitchen. But it's beautiful!
I like the way there’s a bit of a barrier behind the drivers seat. Makes it much cosier!

You can live in a regular house and spend time outside. The two don't cancel each other out.

This is the only one I have seen with a house size shower/tube combo. I love it !
Having the toilet and sink in same area I very nice and sanitary, the extra storage in vanity is great.
The kitchen is very nice, big drawers, open shelves, with different textures are lovely.

This is so lovely and everything makes sense! I was on the fence about schoolies (skoolies?) but the space management is so perfect! Love it! This family is going to be making some excellent memories as those sweet boys grow up!

I think though your wife is right - the fireplace takes up a lot of space. A diesel heater might do the trick at $200 from Amazon. The other option is a very pricey but wall mounted compact wood stove called Dickenson Marine - Newport model. Frees up floor space.

Great layout transit buses are great for conversions 102 wide and typically 6"10 headroom my first conversion was one loved how big it felt congratulations on a great conversion.
the boys all look just like dad. That is a nice ride for a young family to enjoy what travel brings. the kitchen is phenomenal.
No cuz mom and dad kinda look alike, so boys have moms features too I can see it
great layout for their needs. I bet they were pleased with the builder's work.

Gorgeous bus/home. I love how you have it all set up. I dont think ive seen such a large kitchen in a bus as yours is. However, it works well and doesnt seem to skimp on any other areas either.

Oh wow. I'm 16 and I'm planning on doing a bus conversion after high school (maybe before if I use my uncle's bus) and I thought I had a layout in mind already because I like to plan ahead. I was dead set on it until watching this. This bus is very beautiful and I may just change my plans in order to incorporate some of these amazing ideas.
Your bus is beautiful and felt like it would be easy to live in. It had many things stored in the open, so I wondered about where you put everything when you take road trips. Then I wondered how you could take road trips as I didn’t see and you didn’t mention where everyone would sit, how the seatbelts are anchored and accessed, and where/how a child seat would be installed. Finally I decided that you probably don’t travel in the converted bus... It’s a very nice tiny house and will probably be a wonderful place to live until your children get bigger. Thanks for sharing it!

I love the paint job on the outside of the bus. It looks vintage!!♥️ You guys have done a great job and thought of everything. What about a rooftop deck?? Id have to have that somehow. Is that possible with a bus like that and how much did this cost and how long did it take to build it

One of the very best bus conversions I've seen. I am more likely to get a long shuttle van for a conversion than a bus. It's just me and my Sheltie. We don't need as much room, but I would have any conversion/outfitter company make the most of every square inch in the vehicle. This bus came pretty close to that. This bus is pretty and functional. Did you need any trucker driving training to make safe turns?

Each bunk bed should have half size privacy wall or full slide curtain kiddos chip in design. Kids love me time, plus encourage me time TEACH each the importance of respect other people privacy. Yes?
Baby crib, above washer/dryer shelf unit, frame can be built on a slider. Murphy bed concept free up space during the wash cycle

Beautiful, warm and inviting. I love the space utilization in all the areas. I love the built in shoe cubby at the end of the sofa. What an amazing gift to do for your family ! Your children will always remember this time. I would much rather share experiences with my children that sit idle in materialism and stuff. We full timed family of 4 since 2014. Beautiful family, great Businante, so clean, and organized one thing I'm not sure if I would've done. The water heater in front of the boys beds. One in law of mine died in a water heater explosion, that's many years ago maybe they make them different now .all my blessings, safe trips.
