When I was like 17 a girl I knew had this ballerina friend coming to town and she wanted to see the beach. She offered to drive. Cool.
She was super clean cut. We start driving and Zao comes on (Serpant) and I’m like woah this is badass. I couldn’t hear her over how loud it was saying Zao. When she realizes I’m liking it she blasts it.
Car strait dies and goes silent. Zao killed her car lol. We walked back to my house awkwardly and her dad came and got her. I knew her a total of one hour but she gave me Zao. That was… 2003? Long time ago

Words can’t describe the excitement I felt when I found out that Zao was releasing a new album after first hearing Xenophobe. So glad to know they’re still pumping out music after all of these years.
