      I think my only irritation (and a lot of content creators do this) is that she was going into a new phase of her life that everyone knows requires more dedication and attention, but she thought she could keep both going, or maybe she/they know it will affect it, they just think its better to not say anything to their audience because the audience wont like it.
      But it always bugs me when people claim or think that making a big change like that that theyve never done before isnt going to affect their ability to create or make RUclips videos. It kinda feels insulting in some ways or overconfident, because it's a change that a ton of people struggle with. And as much as I want to be included in that part of their life, I dont feel owed it. I just feel frustrated that people are making decisions based on the assumption they can balance both, when theres evidence that for most people they cant. And that can be a good thing, it can mean they are challenged, are going to experience a lot of growth from it, and for college or something similar that's the point. I miss it, but I'm still salty that I can point to specific instances "that's not something you can balance" and its been waved off, and then it turned out to be true.
      But better that than try to balance tasks you realize you cant hold up.

    Ive never had or wanted a romantic relationship (I'm aromantic and Asexual) so im looking at this conversation very much outside the rosy glasses of love and a partner, as i see my friends struggle with due to expectations within what a relationship is, and it was SO refreshing to see two people talk to each other as two separate people, not as an entity where you cant question the other person without questioning the relationship or the validity or like.. 'if you ask me this you cant really love me or you think we dont work deep down'

      @@PropheticShadeZ thing is, if all through your teens thats how your relationships have been, *when* are you taught that its supposed to be like this?
      There is no switch inside ppl that goes 'okay x years old now im an adult all my baggage is dealt with and im 100% handling things at the best of my abilities'..no.
      i told a friend about this podcast and through talking she told me about a friend of hers shes known since they were teens and is now 40, shes never been single in thst time, and she just divorced her second husband and its not been two weeks and shes got a new-old boyfriend that was just meant to be.. and i just wondered, does she even know herself if shes never been single for almost 30 years? Just bouncing around relationships..
      Also dont hate on teenagers, for them it *IS* the worst/best/most x y z thing thats happened to them, everything is fresh and raw and full of hormones and new feelings and i hate how mean we are to them, this schrödingers teenager: based on how the adult interacting with them is feeling the teenager is either 'practically an adult' or 'still just a child' ..

    • @AC8X
      @AC8X 4 года назад +5

      @@galli0 The idea that someone needs to be single for some prolonged period of time to "know themselves" is silly. Self-awareness is not a function of relationship status, it's a function of emotional maturity. More often than not, it's the important people in our lives who facilitate emotional growth, both directly and indirectly. The reason some serial monogamist have issues and/or seem to lack self-awareness is not because they've been in relationships but because the partners they've chosen have inhibited or even been detrimental to their growth. Linz is a case in point: she's been with Phil since she was 17, and they've both grown a ton, together and as individuals.

    I just love Lindsay. I used to watch her ages ago and I don’t know why I stopped (probably because I had a baby!) She’s just so down to earth and up front - relatable in such an effortless way, you can tell she’s not trying, she’s speaking the honest truth and I think a lot of mothers can relate to what she’s saying. She just says it how it is. Loved this!

    Loved seeing Lindsay on the podcast! Used to watch all of the Defranco's family vlogs and the work vlogs as well, so this was a nice conversation to listen to. Also wanted to say that I really appreciated Lindsay talking about her breakdown recently. Been feeling really off during these troubling times, and knowing that another person feels so strongly empathetic that it caused them some stress made me feel better about my own anxiety. It made me realize that my own anxiety and empathetic stress is a more legit thing that I was trying to repress. Thank you guys!

    The conversation around 14:00 is so relatable. I think a healthy relationship has that ebb and flow. One person takes a turn being the supportive one and then it switches later on. This can also be unhealthy if we're too dependent on each other. But I totally understand what they're saying.

    Love love love that they are opening about smoking weed. People are so judgmental about parents smoking but yet nothing is said when parents crack open a beer or pour a glass of wine when their kids go to bed. I'm so glad when people are open about it because it needs to be normalized!

      The key being "when they go to bed". If you're like stoned out of your mind or you're smoking around your kids then that's more unhealthy than like cracking a beer.

      Smoking is always bad for your lungs, it doesn’t matter if it’s weed or tobacco. Alcohol is also bad, but if you drink a small amount is quite safe for you body, because your liver manages to break it down. There is no amount if smoking that doesn’t damage your lungs. So, no, smoking anything should not be normalized, because it’s bad for your health.

    You have to love how comfortable the conversation is, shows that serious communication they have had as a couple. I feel that they fit well together because of their insecurities are different but they both have empathy and compassion and wanting to grow as people. No couple is perfect but the ones who last have that ease of honesty, to be able to support each other but point out our flaws. Sure am not the only fan who would love to spend a saturday with the family and enjoy the insane love they share.
