Captain needs his shield to protect himself from bullets, but Luke Cage, his whole body is an almost indestructible shield, not to mention that he can lift up to 40 tons. He puts an opponent KO just with a little slap on the head...
What I’m saying
He fails to mention that after Luke’s 2nd experiment , those Judy’s bullets couldn’t hurt him. This dude was in the tank with Cap from the beginning. Sad
Although his internal organs can be damaged, they're still MUCH more durable than an average human, both in comics and on the show. He survived falls from great heights, bullets to the face, and being ran over for a few examples. And none of these caused any damage to him. Like, having durable skin isn't enough for Luke to withstand these things; his bones, muscles, and internal organs would have to be superhumanly durable as well.
Even If It Was, It Doesn't Compare To The CAP MCU.

Again, the focus is LUKE here, not Steve Rogers. So why are you deciding to bring up Captain America, and trying to make a comparison?

Old comment but wasnt that the mass produced but weaker version of the bullet? Diamondback was saying that it can be mass produced but wont be as powerful as a normal judas bullet. I think the rifle that diamondback was usimg with the original judas bullets can still kill cage. Just not the downgraded one.

People forget that Luke Cage went through the super soldier process twice in order to get rid of the first Judas bullets that were killing him because the Judas bullet had got stuck inside him and it was the only way to cut through his skin to pull them out and after that second dose of the super soldier process he was immune to the bullets
This reminds me an episode of the amazing Spider-Man where Luke Cage, Spider-Man, White Tiger and Nova were fighting Captain América alone. Damn, Rogers fucked them all

Every time that Luke got hurt was by surprise but if he expects it, it won't hurt him. Even iron fist couldn't hurt him when he was expecting it. Even bushmaster couldn't take him down when luke was expecting to get hit.

The shield won't do anything since Luke cage survived the Judas bullet which is made by vibranium, and bullet shot by a gun will do more damage then shied thrown by Captain America. The shield will do damage but eventually Luke cage will throw it far away and there will be no way for captain America to hurt Luke cage.
The Judas Bullet isn’t vibranium. It’s made from the Chitari metal.
Iron Fist and Bushmaster clearly demonstrated that Luke couldn’t fuck with someone who can actually fight.

Big Captain America fan but think he would struggle to fight Cage, cap has nothing that can hurt cage he could keep punching him forever and its not going to make any difference, but Cage is way way stronger and nearly as fast and agile if not on par with Cap.
Cage also survived an entire building coming down on him, bullets and explosives do nothing to Cage but would kill Cap easily so Cage has massive amount of durability compared to Cap.
Best cap can do is try to avoid Cage's hits for a while but in the end Cage will tag him and if Cage gets a hold of him its over for Cap, Cap has no way of hurting Cage with his fists yet Cage can hurt Cap easily.
I could see Cap dancing around for a while until Cage catches him with a hit and knocks him through a wall and then could pick up the wall and smash Cap to death with it.

Luke Cage is superhuman, this includes speed and agility. No way Cap can take him, not even the MCU version. He's far tougher, stronger, and faster than Cap. AND remember he was a boxer in prison and was a COP before he was framed! The judas bullet drilled into him at a very high velocity the first time {the first time, didn't work the second time because he adapts to things that hurt him}. The reason the judas bullet hurt him for soo long was because it exploded shrapnel inside of him that his healing factor then ground into his organs and muscles. If you're going to do this: Know the people you're comparing please. Other than that; I love your channel, keep up the good work. Oh... and what makes you believe Cap is smarter?
Luke isn’t faster than cap. Cap ran over 38 mph in Civil War. Luke ran a 40 yard dash in 3.72 seconds. Iron Fist already showcased that he ain’t shit against an actual martial artist. Cap is smarter because he’s literally a damn War veteran, battle strategist, and leader.

Why are most characters heavily nerfed especially luke cage! This guy wasn't phased by cyclops blasts, Savage hulks punch, Human torches flames, hell luke cage can pick up a bulldozer or stop an airplane from lifting off. He could do alot that isn't on this comment.
I recently came to a realization about Captain America, which is that ... IF the writers would actually utilize his most powerful ability ... he SHOULD BE the most powerful character in the Marvel Universe. Let me explain:
First, what is his most powerful ability? It's the ability very few people ever think about and most don't even know about. The super soldier serum didn't just make Steve strong and fast. It literally turned his brain into what is essentially an organic super-computer. The reason his shield always comes back to him after bouncing off of half a dozen moving objects is because, in the moment he throws his shield, he does all the mathematical calculations to determine how to throw his shield with enough force and at the right angle to bounce off of those half-dozen MOVING objects and return to his hand. He has a photographic memory and a fantastic ability to calculate not only numbers, but human action. He has the ability to create fully formed strategies in an instant.
This power, however, is constantly ignored by the writers because if the every utilized it to any significant degree, it would COMPLETELY change the character of Captain America. He could literally spend the day in a college library and end up with a PHD level understanding of physics. Give him another day to search the internet for cutting edge research articles and now he's on par with Stark, Richards, Banner, etc... Give him a week to really focus on honing his scientific knowledge and now he's the smartest man in the Marvel Universe by a WIDE margin.
Next, think about how crazy powerful Dr. Strange is. Dr. Strange wasn't born with any powers or special abilities other than being smart. Magic in the Marvel Universe is something that can be learned. It's a skill. So, in walks Cap to the Sanctum Sanctorum and asks Dr. Strange for lessons. A week later Cap is the new Sorcerer Supreme.
So we're two weeks in and now Cap is not only physically a super soldier, but skills wise he's in a position to create bleeding edge advanced armor and weapons that would make Stark Tech look like a 2X4 with a nail in it and the magical knowledge to do pretty much ANYTHING he wants. He's basically the good-guy version of Doctor Doom, but about a thousand times more powerful in every way.
If this is just the first two weeks ... holy crap! What does week 3 look like?!

Cap did not defeat Black Panther...T'challa or T'chaka. Also in LC season 2 after Luke was placed in the machine again the Judas bullets no longer penetrate.

The whole argument boils down to whether or not Cap can hurt Luke. If he can, he wins easy. If not, then Luke wins a slow fight.

The thing is that MCU Cap clearly has superhuman strength. It’s not on Cage’s level, but Cage doesn’t have anywhere near Cap’s level of expertise at CQC. Also, Cap is faster...A LOT faster. I’m not saying Cap wins. It’s just the more likely scenario.

Great video with great points. I can’t believe someone acknowledged Cap can defeat Black Panther and is the greatest fighter. I always grew up with the impression from Marvel that Cap was the greatest fighter on the planet. It’s only been in recent years that others have tried to down play his fighting ability against others. I guess when someone is known as the best, others want to go against the status quo.

If I remember correctly those times came with factors such as Caps mind being else where and not focused on the fight. I have the comic Contest of Campions 2 were Cap beats Panther when they were on equal terms
Brian Elam In that comic of *Contest of Champions II,* Black Panther was much more subdued and weak, and Black Panther said the fight was not fair, so it was not a victory for Captain America.
It is also bad writing because Black Panther has never been defeated so easily and also T'Challa has a lot of resistance and never gives up in a fight.
Angel Kors For years Captain America was acknowledged as the greatest fighter in marvel and has only been beaten with some short of stipulations instead of straight up lose. He’s only flown like 5 times ftl max while flash has been recorded to run millions of times ftl. Furthermore, flash can just run himself up the building and jump off to catch Thor in the length of the attosecond where Thor will be frozen and he can rob Thor’s speed robbing him of any flight or movement. Then flash can just land several imp’s in one second which will be more than enough to ko Thor.
Mcu version of cap is very very different power level to comics, he's closest to ultimate version who could restrain spiderman and pull a tree out of the ground, I think he'd be able to land a lot of hits on luke and maybe tire him out? Kinda hard to call it for a guy who's power is not being able to be hurt
Ultimate Spiderman was only 5 ton class and that version of Cap could get stronger with working out close to Spiderman level but Luke is 10x that literally.
I just had an argument with somebody on Facebook about this. They thought Iron Fist could mop the floor with Cap and that he stood no chance against Luke Cage. They kept saying Cap couldln't lift more than 800lbs when we have seen him exert tons of force. I agree 100% Cap would defeat Luke Cage.

I love your videos but you are biased at times. You will use arguments for characters you want to win but call the same type of arguments inconsistent for other characters. Cap throwing his shield is inconsistent when it gets stuck in Ultron. How does the shield ricochet off other hard surfaces but not Ultron. Then you use the shows/movies weaknesses and strengths but not comic book material.
