I agree, but I think Rhino has no healing factor unlike Spider-man (minimal healing) and Luke (that possibly heals same as Wolverine), this healing is the reason Luke would beat Rhino even hand to hand with no traps nor weapons.
The low intelligence disadvantage of Rhino means nothing since fighting don't need wits, idiots can learn and adapt in fights, have natural skill or a lot of experience for the win.
Rhino is one that loses way too much.
If Rhino grappled he'd kill with slamming people on the head breaking a Luke Cage's or Spider-man's kneck.
You don't read much of the comics then, Rhino hasn't been dumb in years.
Luke Cage healing factor would also give him an edge as well as skill and raw power!!!

Great write-up. I agree that Rhino’s stronger even with all of Cage’s upgrades but Cage would win. He’s beaten Rhino flat out a couple of times and got the better of him in an old Defenders fight as well
Except Cage has only beat Rhino pre gauntlet storyline, so that's not a good indication when both characters have changed.
@@jessebrown1996 how has Rhino changed since? He was unfairly labelled as a jobber for a long time but he started to get some prestige back when he fought the new Rhino, Thunderstrike etc. More recently though, I saw him getting beaten down by Spidey once again. IMO classic Rhino was easily as strong as the Thing or She-Hulk but that didn't stop him going down to Cage because of his low skill. Has he picked up a lot of fighting skills since?
Rhino has a definite strength advantage, but Luke is smarter, faster, and has a considerable skill advantage; not even counting his street-fighting skills Luke has been hanging around Iron Fist for years and is bound to have picked up a lot of moves, also Luke has worked out with the Fantastic Four and Avengers! Also, he would also know that Rhino has poor eyesight. Quite frankly, while it would take a bit of work because of Rhino's tough hide and endurance Luke should have no trouble pounding Rhino out.

Great analysis on their punching power. Having the strongest muscles doesn't necessarily mean you'll punch the hardest or run the fastest or jump the highest. Their are a lot of people who can squat more than Usain Bolt but can't run nearly as fast. A lot of people actually get slower when they add muscle

The current Luke Cage is beyond class 100, which is Rhino's class. Luke punched a villain so hard that he caused a shock wave with one punch, he carried a large cargo truck above his head for several city blocks effortlessly, these trucks can weigh over 50 tons and he did it without effort. I like this one. Rhino might be stronger, but he has to actually land a hit to do any damage. That's why he always loses. He's always punching the air. And when he does land a hit, it's against characters who can take it and keep going. Luke has fought Rhino before, so he knows his moves and knows to play it smart.

A non-jobbing Rhino is much stronger and more durable than Cage.
Luke is around the 25 ton range, Rhino is around the 75-80 ton range and has traded blows with the Thing, Iron Man, Doc Samson and the Hulk.
With that being said Rhino is a jobber and would lose unless PIS and CIS were removed in that case he would stomp cage to the ground.

No I was talking about Rhino(Cage is pretty consistent), because plot and character induced stupidity can work both for and against a character and they work really bad against guys like Rhino, Killer Croc, and Terrax.
Luck cage is much more powerful than he is describing. He has beaten the fantastic four in the Baxter building single handedly.
Actually Luke got his powers enhanced and is in the the 60-75 ton range. Also Luke cage not only beat the fantastic four by himself but one time he even knocked out the hulk. It was a surprise blow but still counts. Also when he was fighting one of Thanos' henchman their attacks were clashing so hard it caused seismic waves to shake the ground. Also he's strong enough to thunder clap.

Once you get passed the skin layer, his insides are like a normal humans. As long as the skin isnt pierced, his insides are undamaged. Once his skin is pierced, his insides can be damaged.

Rhino seems to be a bit stronger and maybe more durable, but not by a lot ,Luke though is smarter and has more skill , I believe either one could win.

Luke has always done a remarkable job of fight against people much stronger than him. I’m remember back in the days when he fought Wonder Man to a stand still and even the other avengers were amazed.
