Good evening everyone! 🥰 Thank’s for joining me for this weeks meals of the week video. Can I ask you to give the video a ‘like’ please? If you like! 🙃 I’ll join you down in the comments 👇
When you're cooking baked tatties in the air fryer, its beneficial to cook them in the microwave for a few, may 3 - 4 mins first, it cuts the cooking time down and they still taste amazing. Lovely meals as per usual, thank you for sharing xx
You make my week! Every Sunday I look forward to seeing what you have prepared for your family. Absolutely fabulous! I love to see the scenery at the end of beautiful Scotland. Thank you so much for your dedication to your channel and helping us get great ideas for meals. YOU ARE APPRECIATED!❤😊
Thank you for sharing I have tried one substitute that did taste good some other had as you said a rubbery texture. All in all Everything looked fantastic . Have a wonderful week.
I don’t eat the “Impossible” products or other meat substitutes because I feel like they have to be super processed and flavored to replicate the look and taste of beef, chicken, etc. That being said, that’s just me, and FYI, I do love a good veggie burger! Everything looks so tasty this week and I still am wowed by the way the food is plated and looks so appealing. I’m terrible at that. 🍽️
Thank you so much 🙂 I appreciate meat substitutes aren't for everyone...we just like them for a bit of a change....have a lovely rest of your evening Annabel, and thanks for watching ☺
Hello Cherl,,,being Italian the pasta dishes looked delicious..I don't eat alot of beef so when I do I want to enjoy a big juicy real cheeseburger. But to each their own.
Greetings from Dublin. I love watching your family meals but in particular, I love watching how you plate up the meal, I find it hypnotic😄 and you make everything look so delicious. P.s. I love your yellow border plates, if you don't mind me asking, where you bought them, I'd love to get some. Thanks Cheryl.
All.meals look delicious Cheryl. I would definitely try the meat free burgers but nit sure about the mince as you saud it was a bit rubbery!! But I really like quorn products tho. Those meatball subs & the chicken pasta looked good, but just by looking I'm sure I could have a good guess & make those myself without a kit. I just think hello fresh not for me for a few reasons, but I do understand why people like it, probably convenience & a time factor is number 1, but it's just nit fir me. I think the schwartz mix hasn't changed there were always that 1 & the tuna pasta bake, but I like them both very tasty. And tuna /mayo & sweetcorn is 1 of my favourite things for anything, on sandwiches, salads, jacket potatoes , on toast. But I don't put garlic in mine , might have to try that. Parsley is my thi g that I use loads of, i chuck it on anything & everything, I have it on the table along with the salt, pepper & chilli flakes ( chilli is hubbys). Good video as always Cheryl
It appears great minds think alike because it is now Monday ( where I love) and I am making a cottage pie ( also known as a shepherd's pie).......I had potatoes to put on the top but I also has sweet potatoes which you can do for a change or if you want to be keto-friendly.
A shepherds pie is made from minced left over lamb roast where a cottage pie is made from minced beef, they sre both high on my go-to list when run out of meal ideas.
I love the Beyond Meat burgers, it’s what McDonald’s use in their McPlant sandwich. Heard mixed thing about their mince sub; might break the burgers down and use them as a mince substitute if the texture is better. Treated myself to a HelloFresh box for the first time in ages as I had a 25% off voucher and a busy week; so convenient to just pick the meals and not have to worry about making a list of ingredients and do the shopping. Had a lovely Middle Eastern inspired prawn, feta and bulgur dish, Japanese style sticky miso beef and rice plus a halloumi and spinach curry; really delicious. All 20 minute recipes too.
I always give a thumbs up. I made your cottage pie in 4 one person servings. Hubby isn't into it. Froze 3 and ate 1 that night. Ate another the other day. In oven at 350 F for 20 to 30 minutes with his fries, sorry I mean chips, to go with his burger. Also made the beef stew with orange marmalade for me, again he's not into beef stew. That was good. I enjoy all of your films. It is pouring rain here in west side of Michigan, USA.
That's exactly our problem with Beyond Meat--the crumbles are....an odd texture. We love Boca Burgers All American Burgers. Also found that Impossible Sausage seemed to expand in the stomach! But the burgers are GREAT! Meatballs subs are SUPER!! Yum to all! Did you forget that onion and lettuce on those burgers? Lol
@@WhatsForTea I think Christmas should last all year. I always seem to get ill around Christmas, I had a stroke at Christmas 2009, a massive operation, at Christmas 2010, another one 2011, was very ill Christmas 2018, and 2020, and 2021, and 2022. In 2021, I bought myself a bottle of XO Armagnac, and in 2022, a £75 bottle of vintage Meursault, a superb white Burgundy, and both of them are still unopened. But at least I had my Christmas dinners.
In my experience beyond beef is a bit of a hit or miss. The store I go to had the Bratwurst sausages and frying them up, they smelled amazing but the flavour was barely there. I think it's because it lost a lot of water and that held the flavour in but that's just my theory
Do you have Burger King over there? It’s similar to McDonalds. Their burger is called the Whopper, and they’ve been carrying one version called the Impossible Whopper. I really can’t tell a difference, it is so much like the regular burger!
WOW! That's hot 😮 that would kill me🤣 but I'm guessing you're used to it. The PO Box has been open for a couple of months...address is in the description box under the video 🙃
@@texastea5686That is so kind of you, don’t forget to tell Cheryl how to use them, another American couple sent a Utuber Southern dishes, didn’t give instructions,it was a disaster. 😊
I can't eat the faux meats - legumes give me shocking migraines. I'm allergic to mushrooms so I won't try Quorn. And I'm allergic to fish and seafood! It'll be meat, eggs, and dairy products for me.
Hi Cheryl, hope you’ve enjoyed a nice relaxing Sunday, it’s been quite a dreich day here in Ayrshire, but the temperature drop is a welcome wee reprieve, just so long as it doesn’t hang around too long. All meals looked delicious as always & with lovely presentation. I’m sitting here like a wee stuffed pup, having just enjoyed a big portion of your home made Moussaka which I had made a number of weeks back & had divided up into single portions & frozen, it was delicious, but think I need a lie down now, my portion control definitely needs reassessing! 🥵😁😂🤣 Your burgers looked delicious, I have a weakness for smoked applewood cheese 😋, have you tried making macaroni cheese with it - it’s really good & a wee change from your normal mac’n’cheese! Thanks as always for sharing Cheryl 🙏, those Hello fresh meals look really nice & simple to make, looks a bit like dot to dot cooking!🤭 Hope you have a nice relaxing evening & a fantastic week. xx 👩🏻🍳💞💕🩷
Thank you so much as always for your lovely comments David! I didn't realise you were in Ayrshire 😆 you must be near me then! Yes, the rain was chucking down this afternoon wasn't it 😯 I have indeed tried the Applewood cheese in macaroni...it's delicious! But quite rich 😋
Hiya 😃 It definitely heats up and there's a significant amount of heat that comes off it. The oven doesn't seem to throw off as much heat when it's on because it's contained better 💕
I regularly use an airfryer and don't find any noticeable difference in kitchen temp. Might depend on brand of airfryer. I like mine so much, I bought one here in Thailand to use for the 5 1/2 months we spend here every year. Got pretty good at baking bread in it as well.
@@maxineb9598 I was thinking about ir when my microwave died, but was in an apartment and feared for the countertops in my galley kitchen. In my house now, bit still have those countertops (not stone) . Have replaced microwave, but things don't crisp up. That's why I'm thinking about the air fryer
