just because it wasn't mentioned in the video: you may ask "well if HBM is so powerful, and not made for gamers GPUs, then who uses that much memory bandwidth?" the answer is people who develop AI and deep learning programs. that's also why GPU can get very high capacities of VRAM (the RTX 2080ti has 11GB of VRAM, while the titan RTX has 24)
VRAM can make a huge difference in fps, it wasn't the case for the 1650, because the GPU was the bottleneck, but for a superior GPU (gtx 1660 and up) it's critical to upgrade the GDDR 5. and the same thing applies to HBM2, it doesn't make a difference because the GPU is the bottleneck in the graphics card.
My 5700xt Sapphire Pulse utilizes GDDR6. It is an exceptional card at the pricepoint. Great software/drivers, not loud at all, and runs cooler than the other 5700xt's Ive seen, especially when slightly undervolting. And undervolting the card only slightly impacts performance. Easy to do in AMDs Adrenaline software. I paid less than 400 USD for a new card a year ago and couldnt be happier. Works well with the Ryzen 5 3600 at a lower price than the Ryzen 7 and 9 components that outperform it. But if going bigger than a 3600 is your thing then go for it.
I read that the new GPUs coming out in 2020 have GDDR6X but I think this is wrong because I have not heard anyone talk about that new RAM. I remember when the Geforce 256 came out in SDRAM and then in DDR. DDR was a beast. I think the original Radeon also came out in SDRAM and DDR. good times/ feels like it was yesterday when I replaced my Voodoo 3 with a Geforce 256 DDR
@@JaySpoonn I made that comment when all the leaks came out and no memory company had said anything about GDDR6X. Actually only Micron is making GDDR6X because they own it just like GDDR5X. Wonder if GDDR7 will come out and be the true successor
The only thing to see changes its especialy how textures load and pop-in during gameplay... since thats where the amount of VRAM its used! But given all of they are fast, there wont be a noticeable difference...
I think HBM and 2 was a great idea, but it was played out terrible (lack of GPUs using it only Vega and Quadro) and I think if it was widespread it would preform good
Man I'm still confused with this stuff,I had my gaming PC since 2016 and I had my 1080 ti since I 2017. I will be upgrading soon, can anybody tell me if the 3090ti is the same as the 3090?
@@JaySpoonn I'm not assuming anything because I have no clue(that's why I'm asking questions)🤔 About a month ago, I seen channels making videos talking about the 3090 ti. Just like they mentioned the 3090 will support 8k, even though they don't have any 8k monitors or 8k games. I don't go through life not asking questions bra, especially if I'm thinking about giving my consumer dollars to a particular product.
I just bought an Xbox 1s then I went out and bought the Xbox One X that is faster with ram and teraflops then Xbox Series S, but but I've always kind of been into technology gaming computers hooking up electronics and stuff like that never really into like deep facts about computers or gaming like I'm not a nerd LOL I'm not that smart LOL but I've been kind of into the stuff that performing on the Xbox One and ask him how good it is with different kinds of RAM and teraflop so I've been kind of into this stuff getting more into it this text though so it's pretty
X is normally used to describe a multiplier. Hence why the X variant is faster. AMD does it a lot with their ryzen chips. For example you have the ryzen 3600, and you also have the ryzen 3600x which is 200mhz roughly faster.

Could you make an ultimate guide for GPUs?

You guys are awesome 😁
Nobody cares where ur from...
Excellent video
thanks
Can you make a video whether you should get a surge protector or a battery backup when building your pc, and which models to consider.
always with the video i need
Nice video, very useful 👍🏻

Don't understand why they didn't keep to using HBM2 RAM!!!
to hold back and control innovation, it will show up again in the near future.
8GB DD3 gamer here lol
Same lol
This is me 7 years ago
4gb ddr 3 ram and 2gb ddr3 gpu gamer here, you're telling something?
Love your brolls very much
What's up with that GDDR6X ? How much faster is it

put a picture of the 2080ti when talking about 1650, then put a pic of the 2080 super when talking about the 2080ti .....HEH ?///?

I think GDDR6 is going to worth it in upcoming generation ;) sorry for my english.
Ur english is alright bruh

I'm happy with my 1650 Super tho
6gb is the minimum for the future, 1650S will die soon.
@@TanvirKhan- I agree, but considering how I play games at low settings for high fps, vram doesn't matter lol

Apparently you didn't hear a damn thing she said, IT DOESN'T MATTER FOR GAMING. It's all a waste of time and money.
