  • 10 of the WORST Luxury Cars (DON'T Buy)!
These are some of the worst luxury cars you can buy, or at least from my perspective. These will cost you in things like reliability, depreciation, and some of them just aren't even any fun. I don't recommend any of these luxury cars to own, maintain, and of course to buy.
So scratch these luxury cars off your list and let's look at something that isn't boring or unreliable, or just plain bad. Instead of the #worst #luxury #cars, have a look at these unbelievable driving machines in our video here: • 10 Cars That Will Run ...
Where we believe that Life's Too Short To Drive Boring Cars so we just don't and you shouldn't either.

I drove Model X for a couple of months. When it wasn't in the service, there were some issues with the electronic systems, the worst one was that the doors kept opening by themselves whenever I was walking away from the car. It handled nicely, but it's still basically a computer on wheels and therefore unreliable.

Something I've noticed,(and I agree with you on) fit and finish is terrible on Teslas.

Cheap parts but the way the cars are made labor will cost you 500 to get to a 40 part. Like any used cars, luxury cars are luck of the draw. I bought the #1 on this list, a 2011 BMW 750Li used in 2016, I've driven the hell out of it over 50k miles total, even several cross country trips and never done anything but change the oil regularly (and no not at my "authorized" BMW dealer for $250, from the local mechanic for $50). But I've heard of people who have bought them and had all kinds of issues and poured thousands into them just to keep them on the road.

The only complaints I mostly see from people regarding the Lexus brand are "uuuh, the EX 350 is a front-wheel-drive", "I hate Lexus got rid of the GS model", "the new LX 500 is only a 6-cylinder", "the Lexus does go from 0-60 in three seconds", "the Lexus is not sexier than the German models", and "it's too reliable". Mostly agree with your points. However the Caddy Escalade is a luxury Chevy Tahoe and that is both good and bad. On the good side that means it is a bulletproof drivetrain that will be running 15 years from now; here in Texas you see any number of early 2000s Tahoes, Suburbans, and Yukons running around like its nothing. Tesla quality is offensive to my eyes; I wouldn't drive one if you gave it to me. For the Italians I'd say they will never be Lexus level problem free, but in my experience their high maintenance requirements are manageable (if you have the money to do it and do it right). My neighbor has a 2009 Maserati Gran Turismo that is utterly magnificent even at 12 years old and the sound will make you weep with envy.

Agree about the Escalade - I’m also in TX lol. But I think after about 2006 the Chevy/GMC quality started going downhill over the next 10yrs. Had a friend who bought a brand new Escalade in 2017 and traded it back in 5 months later - engine issues and tons of weird electrical problems. Another friend currently drives a 2021 GMC Yukon Denali - it’s already had to have a transmission.

Appreciate your videos and the knowledge you share - that said I'm looking to buy a used car around the £30k mark and find that nearly every vehicle I consider, you've highlighted reasons for me to avoid. And I thank you because I could have ended up with a lemon - but now my head is spinning because I don't know what to buy?!
Coming from a Skoda Octavia VRS245 MK3, previous was the VRS MK2, so still want power, but I'm tired of stiff suspension and thin tyres. Also while the interior looks nice and solid, it's already started to get buzzes and rattles all over the place which is driving me insane! 🤬
Wanted to go up the badge food chain and was considering Audi, BMW, Jaguar, Range Rover but I'm turned off. An SUV would be great for comfort and pothole soaking suspension + wheels (UK roads are a mess), but these get very pricey when you also want them loaded with tech. Ideally I need 200ps minimum and a 2019+ vehicle as I want some warranty, electric heated seats, digital dials would be nice.
I really appreciate the looks of a vehicle (edges and masculine modern styling) and nice wheels, but they need to have some tyres with side walls. Reliability is going to be import as this will likely be my last petrol car that I will hold onto for 4-5years before considering electric. I'm a manual driver now but think I'm ready for auto - can go either way. Any pointers please? 🙏 Even just a clue where to start in the UK market (and not Ford). Volvo?

The average person can see the truth and what he can do or what decision to make.
I blame the German Auto Industry for all - have very good engineers and very cheap material using to assembly those cars - German cars 90% are only for export to the World - no problem selling all of them - German Citizens 80% drive Japanise and Korean cars.* In Am and Can all cars build are for the domestic market only - some 0.01% like Escalled sold in Russia for Aligarh.
Germans or European cars today build very cheap way with only BIG NAMES OF QUALITIES - other manufacture taking advantage and going the same way to get easy money big profits * Japanise and Korean are very ambitious peoples stay on own path of quality and pride.

Having watched dozens of YT “good/bad” car videos, it seems most comments are coming from the US and not Europe or Asia so I’d love to know why all of these brands are so bad in one region of the world.
Is it lack of competent dealers unable to properly maintain/service these vehicles, owners doing the maintenance themselves (missing service dates/incorrectly servicing the car) or is it more fundamental that entire cars/components are manufactured in different places to European cars? Also I think people need to define the word “reliable”. My take is a car is unreliable if it breaks down and needs recovery, not if the Infotainment system locks up and needs resetting.
I’ve owned several used BMW’s, an Audi a couple of Mercedes Benz and Alfa Romeos (latest being a Stelvio and a Giulia Quadrifoglio) and have never had any issue with any of these cars that has resulted in a breakdown. What they all have in common is they had full dealer service histories with invoices.
People may say I’ve been repeatedly lucky but in my experience, if a car is properly maintained from new and regularly driven it shouldn’t be unreliable.
And for all the Toyota fans out there, the most unreliable car I’ve ever owned is my 1995 MR2 Mk2 that I still have (had several issues with it) but guess what, I bought it with a partial service history and I’m paying for the negligence of one or more of it’s previous owners.
Why do I keep it as my daily driver then? Simple, it’s super fun to drive, cheap to run and isn’t depreciating in value - ie: life’s too short to drive the same boring car for 200,000 miles (which maybe is why people keep buying these premium brands?)

I saw a list of the "Most Overpriced Vehicles". I THINK the list was from J. D. Power, but been a couple years, so can't say for sure. I just remember that at the top of the list was Cadillac Escalade. Their only comment was, "It's a Chevy Tahoe. Why are you paying Cadillac price?"
The Mercedes has that bomb sight in the grill that conjures memories of all those other great German wonders, such as the V1 and V1 rockets they unleashed on London, the bomb sights of the aircraft used in the Blitzkrieg, and even the Mercedes grill in the Nazi war vehicles. Yes, that Mercedes grill evokes some really strong images.
The Tesla, like any electric, has some drawbacks, such as when you actually want to go somewhere. I wonder if it holds enough charge to take the roads less traveled crossing Kansas. How about the US 93/Us 95 loop around Nevada. BEAUTIFUL drive, but do you thing I could charge my EV in Tonopa? How about Ely? And if I cut through on Nevada 375 I could be pushing my kiddie Mattel ..er , Tesla car somewhere around Rachel. I think I will stick with an actual car - one that goes where I decide to go, not where it is limited to.
Jaguar? I am retired. That alone should tell you I have been around several years. Throughout those years, Jaguar has always been known for poor dependability. has anyone ever heard of a dependable Jaguar?
The Alfa Romeo has the V shape to the grill center, but it still reminds me of an Edsel. Just think of it with the upper portion narrowed just a shade... Do you want a recycled Edsel design? Enough said.
But i have a question for anyone who has an answer: WHY DOES ANYONE WANT A WINDOW IN THE TOP OF THE F'ING CAR??? I have been driving for more than 50 years - That's right, a bit over 5 decades - and I have never though, "Man, I wish I could see up in the air while I'm driving." Likewise, I have never driven anywhere in the blazing summer sun and wished I had a glass top to bring that sun inside. And, given time, they always leak.

on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas
station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station fuel
pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in

done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of
crime here, called emissions and smoke crime...:-((
