    PRINTABLE RECIPE: 🖨️ thestayathomec... 🖨️
    🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴
    ✅Ingredients
    • 2 beef steaks, ¾” - 1” thick
    • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
    • ½ teaspoon black pepper
    • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
    Compound Butter:
    • 4 tablespoons salted butter, softened
    • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
    • 1 teaspoon parsley, finely chopped
    • ½ teaspoon salt
    • ½ teaspoon black pepper
    • 1 splash Worcestershire Sauce
    ✅Instructions
1️⃣ Place steaks on a rack so there is airflow above and below them. Season steaks with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Bring steaks to room temperature, about 2 hours.
2️⃣ Preheat the air fryer to 390-400 degrees Fahrenheit.
3️⃣ Dab any excess moisture off the surface of the steaks.
4️⃣ Once the air fryer is preheated, place steaks in the air fryer and cook for 6 minutes. Flip steaks and cook for another 5-6 minutes. Total cook time will depend on the thickness of your steaks as well as your desired doneness.
5️⃣ Once steaks have reached the desired doneness, remove from air fryer and let rest for 10 minutes, topped with the compound butter.
    Compound Butter:
1️⃣ In a bowl, combine butter, garlic, parsley, rosemary, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until well blended.

I am the EU restaurant area manager for an international hotel and restaurant chain and historically Michelin Star head chef of various UK venues. My speciality has always been meats and shellfish.
Steak should always be rested in tin foil and not in the open air as in this video.
Resting in open air results in reconstitution of fibres which can result in parts of the steak, specially next to fat, become dry and tough even after cooking to rare.
In the US it ic quite common for people even great chefs to rest meat in open air but the new upcoming Michelin chefs are all now resting in tin foil or muslin.
The foil helps keep in some of the meat's natural juices, ensuring the end result is tender and moist. Also for the best flavour, always rest in tin foil specially if you are adding infusions, or seasonings during the wrap, it can help deepen the flavours giving more intense sensation on the tastebuds, as the meat is essentially braising in its juices and any added elements.

A guideline I came across for medium rare is 10 minutes total per inch of thickness of the steak, flipping it halfway through the cooking process. I've had good results with a generous application of salt, pepper, and Montreal steak seasoning. As illustrated, I wouldn't even consider a steak less than an inch thick.

Two reasons:first, it's considered good practice for chefs when cooking professionally to have their mis en place, meaning everything already prepped. The second reason is a combination of copyright and trademark issues with brand names as well as free advertising. Believe it or not, there are brands out there that don't view their product being in a video as being free advertising and instead pursue copyright and trademark infringement.
I know you said you'd never understand, but hopefully this helps.

If you have a grill or can proficiently use a skillet a high heat, please don't make a steak in an airfryer, I would say this recipe is best for people looking for a quick meal or who can't cook or have access to a grill. While you can cook a steak in an airfryer it will only ever be decent hence why you have to use a butter spread, this is the same as oven baking a steak.

@@arthurfonzarelli9828 I haven't met one person who thinks like that lol; Besides for convenience-sake, everyone always prefers the steaks that are cooked properly. Meat that needs specific temperatures like Steak do not do well in any type of fryer, because of lack of control. The airfryer is less precise then you think, more about saving time. I cook my chicken and fries in there, sometimes even pizza, but steaks are always uneven or at least have a rim from being overheated.
