Thank you so much! Unfortunately I just could not make the iso boot on bare metal. It just showed a black screen with the mouse cursor. Else we could have a definite answer.
X11 is the best option so far. We'll have to wait a few months (hopefully) to see a major changes in Wayland. 🤞

Good short review, thank you. I installed Mint 21.3 on an old gaming computer (Pentium Anniversary CPU and GTX 1050TI).
The Wayland option worked well for browsing the web and normal use, but not for Steam games.
Unfortunately, since that first try the Wayland option has not worked again (just gives a blinking cursor).
problems installing and operating wine, tor browser and obs studio for me
