I wouldnt say killer if what lm 22 gonna feature is happening
Ubuntu become Windoof, first time a see a Linux break, thank you so much, i know now what to avoid to install for my wife.
The eternal indecision on all Linux, you choose dark themes & you get half dark & half bright, for-all with Gtk, that's old relict of CSS (client side decoration). Gtk is condemn to die if not change.
Not many complaints I see here
i like watching 18 minutes in 2 minutes
For Cinnamon only Mint or LMDE. Or Fedora 40.
cinnamon makes MX more usable
There are many reasons why I switched to BSD. Ubuntu is one of those.
Who forced you to use Ubuntu? There are hundreds of other distros which have nothing to do with Ubuntu.
@@matyasmarkkovacs8336 Yes i know that. I'm in Linux world since 2005 until 2022. BSD is a new discaver for me.
10:52 why not wezterm?
not as long as Ubuntu pushes snaps. if there is a snap free version of Ubuntu Cinnamon 24.04 then that would be another story.
there basically will be soon enough, when mint 22 (based on 24.04) drops
Ain't this just Mint with Snap?
this is NOT better than linux mint
Xubuntu with i3-gap kills a lot.
Do a lubuntu review
The theming is very inconsistent. Firefox is white, calculator is. I hate that. If you're using a dark theme everything should open with the dark theme. 24.04 is a buggy mess. Better wait for the point release.
Debian 12 Cinamon or LM Cinamon Debian
Unity drove me away from ubuntu to mint. Now snaps keep me away from the buntu family
I can't even get it to boot up
As long as they impose crap like snaps on users it's mint that's gonna kill them.
Linux mint 22 best operating system 👍👍
Sorry to Upset Yout, but not on this Time,Linux MInt is Lightyears Ahead from Canonical,as they consider a a Partnership, when this Ends,Debian will still there, the power of the Swirl.
Thanks, i'm a huge Mint fan, i will try this Flavor.
I can't say I've had a good experience on any Ubuntu 24.04 based distro :-(
Linux Mint killer? Bro are you high or what?
Already giving Ubuntu Cinnamon a try, well let's just say if anything it's pushed me more to LMDE.
Screw SNAPs.
I love snaps
Screw haters of any technology :)
@@d3stinYwOwSnaps are a bloated mess running on proprietary backend controlled by Canonical and they just slow down your system and eat up your free space.
Change my mind...
Only store backend is proprietary, rest of it is open source. Useful everywhere :)
@@d3stinYwOw Backend, where all the nasty things could happen :)
I always liked the appearance of Linux Mint Cinnamon edition. Love the green scheme and the cool green coloring on the terminal. It's like hacker green color scheme.
Okay im sorry but its unfair for this to kill mint, considering mint made cinnamon?
The DE is not the problem with Ubuntu... lol
5:01 5:10 _"i hate that they rename everything"_
righto :)
7:03 i am moving to linux to be free... this ubuntu renaming crap seems to be worse than microsoft dumbing users down.
I wonder why where is very few on raspberry pi?
If you entered $ vi then it says vim or you could just install it if you need to. Alacritty seems complicated to install you have to Rust compile? Doesn't Gnome-terminal use gpu acceleration too? Ok thanks for going thru it...
there is no reason for the existence of this distro
No, it's still Ubuntu and for that reason it's no better than Mint
btop > htop 😏
btop is pretty neat
I am staying away from Canonical AKA Microsoft's secret company to destroy Linux from within. If there wasn't LMDE I would be using Debian with Cinnamon.
Bro, chill. Microsoft and Canonical are partners. Not to mention that MS even contributed to Linux kernel to improve compatibility.
lol what a trash release
not a great crash
Sorry, Mint every time.
Linus Mink Cinnamon functions beautifully and so does Ubuntu GNOME 46.0,
