I'm thinking it's the deep thumping bass, coupled with the light, airy organ sounds, and some gentle guitar touches that just mesh so well under Dylan's voice. Mr. Kowalski somehow captures the resonance of the studio original, and gives it his own stamp of quality and approach to the voice. Well done!

Regarding your other question: I was pretty confident that I got the lyrics right, but I did this recording spontaneously and did not look up the lyrics but tried to remember them. So if the words are different from the Infidels version, well that's not on purpose ;)

So if you fret D - Em - A - D for the first part of the verse and let the low string ring throughout that progression, you get that somewhat airy thing that happens in the original. Would be D - Em/D - A/D - D then. Hope that helps.
