Well, metal is what helped me through my issues regarding my autism, it was never easy for me to make friends or start conversations, it wasn't untill my first metal show that I started to really develope my social skills, in a metal concert nobody really cared wether I was weird or not, maybe some jerks, but most of the people were really nice

I did enjoy this film as well. It's less about Metal, and more about the motivations, and interactions (with an emphasis on dysfunction) between people... with music as a somewhat heavy-handed backdrop. I thought it held up pretty well as a character driven film. Something tells me this movie is way less goofy than the Lords Of Chaos adaptation is gonna be.
malmhaus is an absolute favorite of mine. i understand emotional isolation through metal, and i related as a female metalhead. a fantastic film explaining the emotional importance of our metal.

Big respect for DIO, but Iron Maiden was what got me into metal. Never could get into Judas Priest. I was there, kinda at the beginning of 2nd Wave of Black Metal (1995)...When I found Emperor, everything else sounded weak.
It's an awesome movie and when I first watched it I almost cried (I don't do that often). The fact that the parents and Hera moved on in the end is one of the best things because wallowing in grief really sucks and it doesn't get you anywhere. Also nice dance at the end. \m/

the movie was honestly amazing. I do enjoy it. it's how she's finds her ways to express the music along the path of her brother death plus left her tons of metal gears. it was a intresting plot movie how she's first got into black metal etc plus how she's trys to fit in by her well so call person doesn't understand but in the end she meets these guys who's metalhead as well their music. but I do need to re-watch it cause their some I didn't understood it too well like at the end of the movie they were cleaning out a room and she had on megadeth the parents n her sing n dance

I really liked what you said about how people deal with pain and ways to face problems... The film itself it´s in my opinion not only about metal but I also think it shows a common ground for many metalheads. Many of us but not all, have experienced things way too traumatic and that has effects on how we see life, music, politics, personal relationships and anything else. I would love if more people would see this film, to be honest. It´s a film that makes people think a bit (if people are just a bit clever...).
