Which makes it a Pro and a Con...but people usually want an adaptation of what they feel in love with in the 1st place from the Comics, Cartoon, Anime, Manga, Video Game or whichever is the Original Source Material. Some interpretations are fine, since somethings just will not carry over well into live action. But interpretations should always be kept to a minimum. There a plenty of bad interpretations of other forms of media out there for an example. Directors, Screenwriters and Producers should always stick to the source material on their 1st try of making anything into a movie...but we clearly see Hollywood doesn't always like to do that.

I'll be 47 in Sept, & I've m been reading, & collecting back since since '83, & I've NEVER SEEN a team this physically powerful, this DENSE before!
They were written badly though. They got absolutely manhandled by Thanos pretty badly and considering how stacked their team was, Thanos shouldn't of winning
I'd put Jsa when Phantom Stranger was on their team as being above annihilators.

Love your channel man! I don't even read comics and you make me want to change that. I read some when I was younger but that was like randomly and one-offs. I just enjoy your thorough explanations
I used to read from elementary school til I joined the military but once I lived in Japan I only read specific amines like Berzerk, Baki the Grappler, Tensho-Tenge, Gantz etc. I still like U.S. comics more but they're too small and cost way too much compared to manga. Anyways to the point, LOL...I agree with you Rob has expanded my knowledge of comics both ones I never read and ones I have. He's awesome, oh and he also is the biggest X-Men fan I know which was the only team comic I read as a kid.

I love watching your videos because i tend to agree with 99% of what you say, but i have to point out a few things you've either overlooked and didn't know about or forgot about.
1. Gladiator's confidence is a non issue. The Gladiator process in which Kallark has to go through to become the Gladiator, is a vigorously complicated series of tests which ensures his confidence is unwavering. The only instances of his confidence faltering in the comics are in stories that are ABOUT who the Gladiator is. So if you write a story to explaina and encompass who Superman is, you'd more than likely write in a bit where it shows how he's weak to kryptonite. In marvel events or stories that aren't about who Gladiator is, his confidence has never been broken. Not against Tyrant, not against Thanos, not against Galactus. Never. NOT ONCE. His confidence does not diminish. Its why he was the last one standing and became the Gladiator. Its why he is the Praetor of the Imperial Guard and Shi'ar empire (an empire that consists a billion different insanely powerful beings that pale in comparison to Kallark).
2. Surfer may be the most powerful in this group, But he's only the most powerful because if it came down to Glads Vs Surfer, Surfer would ONLY win because his cosmic awareness allows him to know the specific type of radiation that Strontians are weak to and he can create it out of thin air. There's a comic that shows this conversation happen between the two characters actually. But if it wasn't for that, Gladiator would mop the floor wuth Surfer.
3. You mentioned that this team would smoke Thanos and his Cull Obsidian. But Thanos has already beat the entire team down easily with Adam Warlock.
Another testament to why Glads > Surfer in that very fight actually. Thanos smacks the Annihilators...lol he pounds them all including Surfer, but Thanos avoids Gladiator by teleporting him 200 million light years away rather than fighting him. While doing so, he explicitly states that Gladiator is by far the strongest of the group and would be much better off removing him from the fight instead of engaging in combat. When he's finished beating the rest down, he tells Warlock that they should hurry and leave before Gladiator gets back, which could be any moment.
So yea. Gladiator is way too underrated even by seasoned Marvel gurus. But he is absolutely beast. He literally punches planets to dust with his bare hands to release a bit of bottled up anger. He gave Galactus a good fight. When Beta Ray bill, surfer and others were one shotted by Tyrant, Gladiator is the only one aside from Thanos to get up and attempt a second attack.
His abilities have limitless potential so long as he believes they are limitless. See his fight vs Vulcan.

Tyrant beat Surfer, Bill, & Gladiator along with Ganymede, Jack of Hearts or whatever, Morg and Terrax. Thanos and Galactus' intervention is the only reason those guys survived. Tyrant would annihilate the annihilators with ease.

More fun facts about Quasar- his shield construct was able to withstand a Galactus level entity's destruction (in Thanos Imperative) while all the shielded starships around him and his group were vaporized. The Quantum Bands can absorb a limitless amount of energy- including blasts from the (Infinity) Soul Gem (shown in Infinity War) as well as tank blasts from Heralds if Galactus. Wendell has Cosmic Awareness to the point of knowing when cosmic threats are coming and exactly where they are anywhere in the universe. The Quantum Bands can "Quantum Jump" to any spot in the universe instantly.
The only blindsided to the bands and his cosmic awareness is if a threat is from outside the universe like Annihilus or The Beyonders.
Quasar can also make hard light constructs from whatever he can imagine- similar to a Green Lantern but without needing a recharge. He can make these constructs permanent- as he did with an energy web around Earth to notify him when aliens enter the atmosphere.
Add to ALL THAT, Wendell Vaughn us the Avatar of Infinity- a role that's allowed him to return from the dead twice already.
Also, his starry cape isn't just for show- he can use it as a portal to anywhere in space!
For cosmic level events they would be a good “assemble when” team when something happens. Like vindicators 1, 2 and 3.
Finally someone brings up anti man, dude is cRaZy powerful!

As powerful as Blue Marvel is, he was nowhere near the level of Antiman. The only thing that stopped him was himself. Glitching in and out of the Negative Zone, his power was unstable. Please do it!
I would love to see an Anti Man video! Been one of my favourites for a long long time. Have always wanted Captain Marvel 2 to set up her Ultimates team! Her, Blue Marvel, Black Panther, Photon, Quazar, maybe throw Hulk in, all having to fight Anti Man! To quote Rob "Let me tell you man...."
IIRC, Mantis was part of the Guardians team from the same time they added Groot and Rocket Racoon but got taken out later in Annihilation Conquest.

The Annihilators are a one off team you put together to fight the entire Annihilation Wave headed by Annhilus, with Blastaar, Psycho-Man, and i dunno some sort of Cosmic entity - like Magus. Its gotta be some heavy hitters and some numbers thrown at them en masse.

Small critique: you tend to blow through the power descriptions in a sort of scattershot way and then, with the audience not quite clear on what the powers are, proceed to build on that. Starting with a "these guys are insane" is fine, but I'd suggest that you then get into a more methodical description of each member and 50,000 ft. view of what they can do.

They could do The Annihilators into a movie if they tuned them down like crazy, but kept them above Thanos. So the team who ever would be part fighting The Annihilators would have to overcome massively stronger group, not by brute force but by wisdom and trickery.
I would love to see The Annihilators in the MCU! Obviously it would be minus Ronan because Marvel loves killing off their villains. With that said, the team would still be STUPID OP without Ronan. Lets get her done Marvel! (Why not replace Ronan with Hyperion or the Sentry for the MCU)
