Hi Mel. You’re an absolute genius! Thank you for giving your precious time to provide us with your in-depth scan n cut knowledge. It really is very much appreciated. I’ve had my CM900 for 4years and only used it a couple of times. I’m so excited to getting my machine off the shelf and creating unique creations, is all thanks to you.
Yet another awesome explanation of the secrets to using the scan n cut thankyou so much…..it’s off the shelf more and trying now different techniques as explained by you.
Thank you for these lessons. I have been so scared of my machine as I did not know how to use it. I have a cm550. So glad I found your videos. I am in South Africa
Loved this video. I have now mastered this technique, which took me all morning, kept going back over the video until I got it I feel proper clever now x
Hi Mel, Thank you for an other great video, you explain it so well every step, I have had my cm350 machine for 3 years it was a preloved one, I love using mine, and the scanning feature is awesome for stamped images, look forwards to the next video, take care, Cheers Anna,
I have a suggestion, calibrate your machine before you even get started. I was having a tough time (from the first lesson) separating a simple pattern out (it would take umpteen tries before I could get it to work). When I got to lesson 2, no matter how many times I tried, I could not get the square (used for centering) to delete. After pulling my hair out for several days, I finally contacted customer service. Turns out my calibration was off and would not recalibrate. To calibrate: while the machine is off, touch the screen with your finger and HOLD IT THERE, while you push the on button. This will make the calibration screen pop up. Then you use your stylus to touch the + next to the 1. You should then get a message that you were successful. Then do the same thing to the + next to the 2. After you have done this to each of the 5 numbers , your machine will be calibrated.
okay two comments from me, late to the party. For the American chap who cant get the glue, Aleenes Tack it over and over, will do the job, and loads of people use it to re-tack mats. I used to pre snc, using a Zing and Black Cat. Secondly, watching Mel hold the mat all the time, my suggestion and it works really well for me, use the usb tins in 2's to extend the platform that the snc sits on, so I use 2 rows of 5 tins to extend the platform at the front of the snc, so the cardstock doesnt start to peel away from the mat before the machine is ready to cut. I also use glitter trays at the back of the machine to extend the support tray at the back, but place them upside down so it has a smooth surface and doesnt catch on the lip of the trays. HTH
I love Mel, but I had problems deleting the square off of the aperture (circle) card, I have written down the steps in case anyone had trouble like I did 😢. At 15:45: You have now place your circle/square on the rectangle. Tap: Ok Tap: Screen (to release the shapes) Tap: Ok Tap: Object edit Tap: Ungroup Tap: Ok Tap: Arrow until just the square is highlighted Tap: The trash can Tap: Ok (to delete the square) Tap: Ok to lock the rectangle and circle together Cut out your card. Hope this helps someone 😀
