  • Today we have a look at a very interesting training device, the Shot Trainer
Made for Olympic archers, but it works for traditional archers as well.
And it is the next step to virtual archery :)
So if you are up for developing a proper game play app for this, let me know!

Really thinking of buying one. Looks like a really cool device. Far less expensive (and I think better suited) than the AccuBow

13:11 Imagine playing that while waiting for the bus.
There are similar training devices to practice using your back muscles instead of arm muscles, I guess this one could be used for that as well.

I like this one. The app plus this training aid and a low poundage bow, it's something everone can enjoy. Might even bring new people to archery. That's always a plus.
Also, this game idea you have, I love it. I'm willing to support it.
    Way to go, Armin 😁

I found that if you attach the cord to the bow string, below the nocking point, that it doesn't slap your arm. These are easy enough to make yourself, for only a few dollars.

    $60 price actually evens out:
$1.00 for sock sleeve and strap material
    $1.50 for metal clip
    $57.50 for special "Loopy Doopy"
I understand there is labor, packaging and booklet costs but this would make an awesome DIY Instructable website build due to lack of complexity and time involved.

Can a monolithic historical wooden bow be damaged by these partial releases of the string which stops shortly after?

Could you try this with your Oneida. Maybe I'm wrong but wouldn't recommend this with a compound bow specialy with bows with a short hard letoff area.

Hey Armin, I am looking to buy a very affordable beginner horse bow to shoot for fun. What is the best seller/bow you can recommend that is good quality and will last but is affordable.

Hmm, doesn't look really good to train olympic relase since you need to bring your shoulder / hand back when releasing...I wonder what the sensation is, though

i think only the way they grip the bow is slightly different (because the handle is very specific) besides that its just abother horsebow

So it the sound that triggers the shot. I don’t need to buy an AccuBow.

In my opinion this gadget is not perfect because you cannot practice the follow through with your bowstring hand after the shot.

Kinda gimmicky, I don't know i like to practice for real there is nothing more beautiful than an arrow in perfect flight . ,call me old fashioned
