I don't know how do you do it Rodney but every game you present looks even more appealing and beautiful on your channel compered to others. Is it the lighting, camera angles I can't tell but it is always a pleasure to watch a how to play video.
So very visually appealing. Big-time eye candy that I wouldn't expect such complexity from. Great breakdown Rodney as always, I think I could listen to you explain anything and it would make me relax. Edit: spacing and spelling.
I FINALLY received my kickstarter yesterday, and immediately we watched this video and played the game. Rodney again for the win!! Thanks a ton for helping me and my family enjoy this game.
just bought this game and this video was super helpful with helping me understand how to play it...can't wait to play my first solo game and introduce it to my nephews who love these kind of games
I'm coming to this pretty late to the party, but wanted to say thanks! I don't really have experience playing these complex new types of board games, but recently got this one (and one other) as a gift. Your video helped it feel less intimidating and I'm going to play it with my husband this afternoon. Thank you!
Thanks! I did the Kickstarter mainly because I have hives and enjoy board games. It seems like they might have over thought the game a little bit and I appreciate your explanations. It's reminding me of Agricula or Caverna.
Thanks for checking it out! Yes, certainly a more involved game than Hive (which I've never played, but have only heard good things - I want to check that one out).
Honey buzz, the game to bee in your collection. Haha Just added it to mine at last. These how to play are really convincing, and I'm falling for it everytime.
I have a question about "produce". Do you have to have a hive tile with the produce symbol adjacent to the nectar to produce? Or can you use the fan piece to produce even when you don't have a produce hive tile. If you have a produce hive tile, could you use that tile and your fan to produce twice (once of two different by adjacent nectars)?
I normally do my best to answer all rules questions on my videos, but I shot this one long enough ago I don't have a clear memory of the rules, and I don't have my copy of the game to look it up for you - sorry!
Beelieve it or not, we finally got to play! Even though my husband beet me by tons of points, it was a sweet time. Thank you for the honeyful teach, Rodney! (There was a time when I hated puns. Then I married Ben. Then I realized there must be a force of destiny that causes people who hate puns to marry people who love them. I was trying to fight the good fight, and then I started watching your channel and just gave up screaming every time I heard a pun.....In other words, this post is all your fault. XD)
@@WatchItPlayed well if that is true then your superior skills astonishes me! Haha! Great video, by the way, I just got my KS copy yesterday and looking forward to playing it with my family when I get off work today!
If there is a baby bee in the nursery, and someone wants to place a worker beeple in the New Bee hive box, do you treat the baby bee as a worker in the Hive box, meaning you need to place a beeline of two beeples? Or do you only consider beeples placed as workers when determining the number of beeples needed in a beeline? In order words, if there is only one bee in the the Baby Bee hive box, and it's a bee that was placed on the nursery, do I need to place one bee, or a beeline of two bees, to take a new baby bee time?
So I finally picked up this game, and I have a question about the Hive Board. Both the 1-2 and 3-4 player sides look identical... Am I missing something? Thanks!
@@WatchItPlayed amazing, thanks Rodney! It didn’t say it no, i searched everywhere but then thought maybe it might’ve been left out by accident so wanted to confirm
I'm confused on getting bees after you recall workers. Do you move bees from supply to nursery to available workers? Then after recall you move the bees on the board back to your available workers?
Hi David, it's been a little while since I shot this, but I'm not sure I'm following your question based on what I show in the video. I might need a few more details, can you watch the section in the video on recalling workers and let me know which part is unclear?
@@WatchItPlayed I think I've figured it out. I missed the part about putting all your beeples together in supply and thought the only way you got bees to use as workers was through the nursery. With recall I put them back in supply and was unsure how to get them back as workers. Thanks for following up.
Rodney, I know you don’t like to give out personal recommendations however I am truest an interested in how you enjoyed the game regardless of whether I would enjoy it or not! :)
Here's some questions for you: 1. If a stack of hive tiles is empty, could you still get in it future turns, and could the game also end if a certain amount of hive tiles are empty? For example, if 2 stacks end up empty, can that end the game? In other words, are stacks of tiles considered "limited," and could running out of them end a game? 2. Would you be force to pass your turn if you don't have enough bees to add to an open space, and you have none currently, and you couldn't fulfill a queen's contest? For example, if you were playing with 4 players, and a player has only 1 bee and none currently on the board, and the other players have at least 2 bees on each of the 5 open spaces, and you couldn't even fulfill the queen's contest, would you have to pass in that instant?
