Back in 2004 I won a contest at my local movie theatres through their kids magazine for drawing a pokemon and sending it in. My drawing got (randomly) chosen and featured in the next magazine issue, and also ended up winning me a Gamecube and a copy of Pokemon Colosseum. Hearing all of this music again is making me nostalgic to when 9 year old me was constantly playing and dancing to the music. Such fond memories.
This thing had absolutely no right slapping as hard as it did for being just a grunt battle theme, and yet, it's like, one of the greatest compositions to have spawned from a Pokémon game. Bless that slap bass, god speed.
As a kid this song made me think that peon was some sort of second-in-command position, just below an admin. Every Cipher peon felt like a miniboss. It probably helped that a lot of Cipher's goons were just regular trainer classes, with the peons being somewhat higher on the totem pole.

It looks better than scarlet and violet. All of the pokemon have personality when hit using a move or when fainting. It's amazing what Genius Sonority did back in the day.
It was a great game at the time. If I played it again today, I don't think I could get through how repetitive it was, even compared to other Pokémon games

I liked that they gave the pokemon at that time much more lifelike movement compared to a lot of what we get nowadays. I can definitely understand the issue of the repetitiveness with a lot of the story interactions, but I think too it was a great departure from the typical gym format that was present the following 3 generations after. If they're was any remote possibly of a remake, I would hope they modernize it and make more dynamic like Scarlet and Violet for the right reasons

0:30 tugs at the heartstrings hard. I don't know why but electric guitars are just so damn emotional and give me this weird falling feeling. It's tough to explain.
No matter how many times I hear this theme I always get the stank face during the guitar solo And that fucking slap bass building up in the bridge is insane The instrumentation on display in this song was so ahead of it's time
I love how the violin plays along with the overdriven guitar at the end of the riff when the melody resolves. The composer loves to play wit my emotions.

Mainly it had a LOT of weak Pokemon that we had access to with very few useful ones. The only saving grace is we start with 2 of the best Pokemon in the game, ignoring legendaries. Generally, XD Gale of Darkness did better

i remember when I thought you could get all 3 of them at the start,and I got bayleef first because it was the closest but i wanted quilava and when I realized i couldn't get it until post game i just restarted

I'm so glad that phones are powerful enough these days that they can run Dolphin. I can take this game with me everywhere I go now and play it whenever I want.
I want to hold out hope that someday a new Pokemon game in Colosseum and Gale of Darkness's style comes out and can blow me away. It's just that, ever since the mainline series's jump to 3D on the 3DS and its steady decline in quality, and the aftermath of Pokemon GO heavily influencing The Pokemon Company's business decisions going forward, it makes it that much harder to hope. It's on the same level of painful to hope for as a new true Paper Mario game or a new F-ZERO game.
The bass that comes in at 1:00 is so good! And that string melody at 1:12 gives me chills every time. It’s a total time capsule, as it brings me back to when I’d watch my brother play this game.
Holy crap I listen to so many Pokémon songs and didn’t realize how amazing this theme is until today (I even played Colosseum as a kid and also in 2020 when collecting ribbons for my shiny Jirachi) and in my opinion this might just be the best song in all of the Pokémon franchise. It’s flawless, 10/10

I remember getting xd gale of darkness for christmas when i was younger and had no clue colosseum existed so i was all out of order but it def made me go back and play colosseum and maan did i love it, going from a pretty easy game like XD to a damn difficult game like colosseum humbled my ass real quick and made me go grind 😂

So, Wes was originally going to be the main villain of XD, but the writers wanted to keep his goals and motives in Colosseum ambiguous, especially since he was the character you played as. So it was more so up to the player to come up with Wes' true goal.
Because Gamefreak doesn't want to acknowledge other teams work in Smash relating to the Pokemon OST. All Pokemon music in Smash was inspired by mainline series. They also don't like to copy/paste their music in Smash that's why they're all remixes with the sole exception of X/Y music because of release timing.
All of these battle themes being so urgent made me feel like a lot was at stake, especially when shadow pokemon were present. I had no clue Miror B kept shadow pokemon you failed to catch, so it felt like this was the only chance I had to save them. Good times
I got so lucky finding both colosseum and XD at a thrift store I worked at right outta Highschool. I sold my XD trying to buy the next big game battle revolution. Years later I found both games in decent condition so I hid them in the store to wait the 3 day period. That was a mission and then at the last day I bought them both for $12, add my 50% discount and a young me walked away with two gems for $6 Replaying them and managed to fully beat XD! Next up is colosseum and I’m so ready to hear these amazing themes! >:3

So, Wes was originally going to be the main villain of XD, but the writers wanted to keep his goals and motives in Colosseum ambiguous, especially since he was the character you played as. So it was more so up to the player to come up with Wes' true goal.

Why isn't this in Smash the arrangement teams would make this ever more amazing
Because Gamefreak doesn't want to acknowledge other teams work in Smash relating to the Pokemon OST. All Pokemon music in Smash was inspired by mainline series. They also don't like to copy/paste their music in Smash that's why they're all remixes with the sole exception of X/Y music because of release timing.

All of these battle themes being so urgent made me feel like a lot was at stake, especially when shadow pokemon were present. I had no clue Miror B kept shadow pokemon you failed to catch, so it felt like this was the only chance I had to save them.

I got so lucky finding both colosseum and XD at a thrift store I worked at right outta Highschool.
I sold my XD trying to buy the next big game battle revolution. Years later I found both games in decent condition so I hid them in the store to wait the 3 day period. That was a mission and then at the last day I bought them both for $12, add my 50% discount and a young me walked away with two gems for $6
Replaying them and managed to fully beat XD! Next up is colosseum and I’m so ready to hear these amazing themes! >:3

Requirements
A Poké Ball to be reused
Another kind of Poké Ball
At least two Pokémon which have not fainted in the player's team.
Procedure
Enter a battle.
On the first Pokémon's turn, use the Poké Ball that will be kept.
On the second Pokémon's turn, switch the first Poké Ball's position in the Items menu.
While it will look like the first Poké Ball is being used, no Poké Balls will disappear from the inventory at all, and the game will still treat the situation as if the player had thrown a Master Ball (or whichever kind was selected) at the opponent.
