My experience in the battle frontier: -Never reached Anabel -Never reached Mason -Never reached Noland -Barely managed to get Greta's silver symbol (won by referee decision) -Completely destroyed Lucy, but never reached her second fight -Got publicly humiliated by Tucker -Got scolded by Brandon for not having the spirit or something because I walk in the battle with 1 pokemon with 3 HP left and he begins with fucking Regirock. Yet , I still had fun.
well, back in the day I at least managed to get all silver symbols (and I kinda sucked at battle facilities back then) but never managed to get a golden one. Still, I was having a blast for sure. Sweet, sweet memories.
I beat Greta with ease on the silver symbol but my save file just HAD to die out before I reached her second. And I had a complete Pokedex and everything, all 386 Pokemon thanks to trades with RS/FRLG and cloning event Pokemon. I also won Noland's silver symbol and beat the silver symbol on Pt and SS as well. I lost horribly against Lucy because I thought Blast Burn, Hydro Cannon and Frenzy Plant were "cool" (I was 13 when the game first came out).
i love how this theme is the absolute peak of this game. It's literally the last challenge. One step before the end. This theme portraits that feeling perfectly. on the other hand... I ONLY GOT ONE MEDAL, THE BATTLE FACTORY ONE GRRRRRR
On my current playthrough of Emerald, I managed to get all the Silver Symbols, but trying to get the Gold Symbols is even harder, and the creators themselves stated that the npc difficulty will automatically increase the further you get in your challenge.
The game adds IVs to enemy Pokémon after every "Set". In Set 1 they have straight 0s across the board. So in that set you are statistically facing the weakest version of any Pokémon you could possibly face. The game adds roughly 5 IVs for each concurrent set(Depending on the facility) so by your Silver Symbol Brain match for most facilities, you'll be facing 15 IV Pokémon. Which equates to about half strength. By your Gold Symbol set it's 31's across the board or Perfect IVs. For reference, the only main game trainers that have perfect IVs are Red and Cynthia in Gen 4. And the Boss rematches in BDSP. That's why they say you're Pokémon need to be at least EV trained or at Level 100 they could potentially have a 31-point stat advantage over you in every stat. Also there's a glitch the Trainer Progression for the Battle Factory is actually dependent on your progress in the Battle Tower. So if you get your Gold Symbol from Anabel first you make the factory next to impossible unless you break you streak at the tower. The reason it's so hard is that in the battle factory your Pokémon rely on the IV progression system as well
@@breloompauncher5593not to mention the AI of the trainers you face are insaneeeee, I’ve had an 100 + battle tower in and I’ve seen teams straight up designed to wipe your team out
Tbh, i find some random npcs you have to fight in the frontier harder and annoying than the frontier brains themself. Yet, i find the battle really fun, probably because of the music or idk.

But that Remix for the Battle Masion leaders tho... fucking Orgasmic. Never thought this song could be made better by adding a simple drum kit loop and a miniscule amount of Electric guitar but by God does it just Hit Differently
This is champion theme material imo. Or you could make this emerald Steven's theme and it would be a good fit. It's still great for battle frontier though.
it fits the frontier brains better than any regular trainer - even if its steven or red - because you fight them on even ground - even levels, same amount of pokemon.
Every single Pokémon game I used to own last year before September. Yellow, Red, Blue 2x, Japanese Green, Japanese Red, Japanese Yellow, Emerald x3, Sapphire x8 Ruby x5 Stadium, Stadium II x3, Colosseum, XD Gale of Darkness (Most Expensive), Pokémon Snap, Pokémon Puzzle League, Pokémon Gold x2, Pokémon Crystal x2 (My favorite), andPpokemon Silver 2x. All lost in my storage over 50$ my family didn't want to help me with. Had a display case for the too. 😭

I believe that they removed the pyramid and pike in future games because it’s just bullshittery. having skill and knowledge ain’t enough. even with a team of 6V pokemon you still need luck to win some of the matches.

Omg what happened with Tucker? :v
I only got up to Lucy and I got stomped. I ran into Brandon ONCE but not enough for it to trigger his fight.
I beat Greta with ease on the silver symbol but my save file just HAD to die out before I reached her second. Oh, yeah, the Courage Symbol is fitting because if you think your Pokémon can beat his Regis, you're out of your mind.
Rhydon easily beats the Birds and Reversal Heracross beats the Regis lol
Nothing that planning can't overcome. You just need the right team and know what you're up against.
Solod brandon with my boi Jelly, just need to be the three birds now lol
Consíguete unas cosas llamadas "tipo Lucha y tierra" y ya con 2 Pokémon competentes de esos tipos ya lo tienes xd es más difícil llegar allí
The regis are all weak to fighting. So if you have a solid fighting-type with you, his regis aren't that hard.

on the other hand...
I ONLY GOT ONE MEDAL, THE BATTLE FACTORY ONE GRRRRRR
Only ever got the Arena and Pike Silver symbol.
And for the Arena, I won by Referee decision, so it wasn't even a real victory.
I got all the silvers, and I did it with mostly low-tier Pokemon too. But past that it gets totally rigged.
I really does give off that feeling, like the Frontier Brains truly are a cut above even Steven Stone.
This is one of my favorite battle themes in the entire series.
The fact that the main theme is just the battle frontier theme is fantastic. Makes this one of my favorite pieces in the franchise.
I agree
No Pokémon post game has come close to how GameFreak designed Emerald. Nowadays, the Battle Frontier would be a half assed DLC.
On my current playthrough of Emerald, I managed to get all the Silver Symbols, but trying to get the Gold Symbols is even harder, and the creators themselves stated that the npc difficulty will automatically increase the further you get in your challenge.

So true Lovely Comment.
Idk mate I think the entire piece is massive fucking nostalgia
The theme of pain
I love this theme it's great
I swear that entei
its more like the theme that plays at the end of pain .... but sometimes it turns out to be just the beginning of even more pain ...
The theme of brain
why was this goated as a kid-
there will never be a pokemon game as good as emerald
The peak was Gens 3-5, then there was a fall off imo

constant crits, quick claw procs, landing ohko moves

Peak of the series soundtrack
I Miss Emerald so much! What they did to ORAS battle frontier was unforgivable! 🥺
Don't forget BDSP. 90% of the Platinum content was such a huge missed opportunity. Respectfully, Legends of Arceus doesn't make up for it.
@@Dusk1991 Yeah your right. BDSP sucked beyond all reason and it’s worse than ORAS.

Legends: Arceus is a really good game though, and to be fair it's doing something very different than what DP did anyway@@Dusk1991
