The theme of this final boss sounds so "end of the world and it's entirety" it's actually kind of creepy despite how none menacing the boss itself looks
Probably cause both dimensions are about to obliterate each other and both Eggmen are absolutely delaying the time it takes for the heroes to fix it. Probably why the music gets scarier during the last 2 phases as the background gets crazier. Should have had a time limit to sell it
@lowhp_comic plus can't really forget these is one of the Only mech's that Eggman has (That I'm aware about) that can actually cause the super forms to loose rings.
@@abyss-aster8748Eggman tech that can knock rings out of Super Sonic... Outside of these enemies, we have seen it from the Frontiers Titans, including and especially THE END, and Dark Gaia.
@@MOORE4U2 Super Sonic being able to take damage in the Dark Gaia boss fight didn't really make sense to me outside of game mechanics honestly. In that boss fight.. Dark Gaia had energy blasts that could damage you.. but at the same time a bunch of giant idle rocks sitting on his shield could _also_ damage you just by crashing into them. Really makes no sense in a canonical perspective since Super Sonic has experienced far, _far_ worse that only knocked him back and left not even a scratch. I personally only accept the logic of interdimensional boss enemies like the Egg Salamander.. and most definitely the dimension-eating Time God Solaris being able to canonically bypass Super Sonic's invulnerability.
Nope, direct damage would mean, that you'd lose rings. That's only the case with Dark Gaia, Solaris and to an extent with Big Arms (could be an oversight though).
apparently, this is: 1. the same format as Sonic 3 & Knuckles's Doomsday Zone 2. the first time since Heroes in 2003/2004 where the boss is fought by more than one Super state 3. the first time a combo move by 2 super forms defeated a boss, the next such occurance would be in 2011's Sonic Generations

I like how two human scientists have built a weapon of destruction capable of damaging super sonic a being powered the most powerful artifact in the whole verse
Does make sense if you think about it, the mech was built with the purpose to harness both Chaos emeralds and Sol Emeralds energy, they successfully manage to take the energy of the sol Emeralds, even though They were able to restore it they were fighting a mech that had the energy of the Sol Emeralds fueling it, which makes it one of the few final bosses that can actually physically harm the super forms
I love how in just about every game where sonic can go super, he's invincible to just about everything.... Except rocks, rocks are apparently strong enough to hurt him
I remember when I had this game as a kid and for a long time (and I'm talking YEARS), I've played through this game without having all of the Chaos Emeralds, while already having all tbe Sol Emeralds. Then when I finally got all the Chaos Emeralds and got to the true final boss, I thought it was a fever dream! Anyone else know that feeling?
Getting all the emeralds and finally unlocking the super sonic boss fight was always the highlight of every classic Sonic game as a kid. I really HATED how modern games just "Give you" the emeralds via story and you just get the super sonic boss. Though the worst offender is Sonic Colors. In the DS version you get extra story when you get all the emeralds as you fight to save Nega Wisp Mother from corruption, it's really beautiful helping her out, but the Wii/HD version of the games don't have that fight and even getting all the emeralds does nothing. Given Mother Wisp appears in later games as canon, it's really frustrating they didn't port that fight to the 3D game, but it does make the DS version superior in that way.
The same happened to me! This was actually my first Sonic game and I had no idea that the super form even existed. So when I managed to get the last few emeralds I was blown away. Such good memories!
*When you realize you can actually loose rings in thise fight given the Egg Salamander has two attacks that can physically harm The Super forms, causing them to loose rings, that being the missiles and the black hole*
2 super form users fighting fighting 2 eggmans in the rift between collapsing universes isnt something i would expect on a DS spin off, but im glad it did happen
I am an advocate that many DS games should get remastered or redone for the switch and sold in bundles. Like how Metroid Prime got it's beautiful remaster and Wind Wakes has gotten so many reworks. Like both Rush games are so incredibly well done I would not mind a redone in the lines of Supertars, in fact I guess that coul revitalise Sonic by bringing old fans over, the same with Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks. As they are toon link, they could give them the wind waker treatment and bundle them like mario and that could also be a big boom! So many games are lost to the DS era that with lots of love could revitalise the Switch beyond Nintendo wildest dreams
Yeah, the closest we got to handhelds being remade was Water Palace appearing in SOnic Generations 3DS. Really is a shame we didn't get Gamegear, Advance and Rush games (though at least the version of Tropical Resort is based on Sonic Colors DS due to the mechanics of the wisps being based on the DS version.)
Blaze is such a great character. The writing felt like a third attempt at making a compelling rival for Sonic, but one who was defensive because she didn't trust anyone to do the job. It kind of felt like what they were trying to do with Shadow while still painting Blaze in a heroic light rather than anti-hero. and she brings back the more serious side of Knuckles' old plot. Though she is stubborn she grows a lot in this game and then Sonic Rush Adventure allows us to learn more about what she's normally like and how she is as a princess of her own kingdom, willing to help others, has everyone's respect but is still a teen who doesn't like too much formality. I especially love the part where she's upset about the vikings missing, the part where she's acrophobic but tries to play it off, and the part where she mocks Whisker to get him to reveal information about his base. She's just an awesome character. a good mix of SOnic, Shadow and Knuckles.
I dunno why people like his acting but Jason never felt natural the way he delivered his lines. This was the first game I started importing Sonic games, I hated the 4Kids voice cast that much 😥
