I've been on a mission to try every Malcolm recipe he puts out. This was my 10th recipe I've tried, and it was ridiculous. The amount of flavor packed into inexpensive chicken thighs was outstanding. Thank you Mr Reed.
at 0:02 when he grasps his own hands... you can tell he's in love with the craft, and happy to share that love! I'll never stop watching, thank you Malcom Reed!
Hi Malcom, My husband has been talking about you and cooking a lot of your recipes for the past year. He sent me this link for the thighs. OMG. I am now subscribed and husband told me to get all the ingredients this week so he can make this coming week-end. All I can say is my husband has smoked some kick ass meals from your recipes!!! Keep up the "smokin cookin". Cheers
Just bought your AP seasoning, and killer hog rub on Amazon, i'll support anybody That takes the time to give awesome videos that you have, you will always be welcome around my campfire!!!
When I get something in my mind that I want to cook, I think "How does Malkom do it? " and it always comes out killer!! I love the passion and the common sense that he's able to convey. I've had quite a few people tell me that those are the best ribs ever!! Or, that's the best brisket I've ever had!! Thank you for your videos! Now, even people in Dayton Ohio can do real BBQ! Love ya Malkom!
OMG! Made these tonight on a gas grill. Used some cherry wood smoke bombs put the pan of chicken on the top rack and ran it just like showed. The chicken was like butter!!! Some of the best chicken I've ever made! Keep putting out the great recipe's!!!
@@luisvillalta8189 Sorry I just saw your question. But all I did being on a gas grill but I prepped the food just like shown. But to get the smoke flavor I just made some smoke foil packs ( videos on youtube) put the chicken on the top rack while smoking. Then just cooked them on a rack till done. Hope this helps.
I did this recipe only using Heath Riles garlic jalapeno rub (base) and Heath Riles sweet bbq rub (outer) along with Heath Riles sweet bbq sauce and Heath Riles tangy vinegar bbq sauce mixed 2 to 1 respectively instead of your ribs and sauce. The outcome nearly made me cry. I have never tasted anything, IN MY LIFE, (bbq chicken wise) that has comes close to the perfect flavor explosion that I got from using your recipe with Heath Riles rubs and sauces. Thank you so much for showing me how. This chicken is a game (life) changer. Additionally I used a Pit Boss vertical pellet smoker and competition blend pellets from Pit Boss.
i do same sort of thing, but use fresh herbs, breadcrumbs and olive oil as filling, then wrapped in bacon and skewered, dont have a smoker so do in oven fast and hot, they lay in pan of diced veg, so all bacon drips into roasted veg.
Just made this yesterday using the Pit Boss pellet smoker. Fantastic! 300 degrees works fine. I used toothpicks to hold them together and a single aluminum pan to cook them. About 3 cups of liquid rendered so make sure you use a pan or the mini loaf holders. Once cooked, they hold together without the toothpicks so you can remove them before serving. They are so big you need to slice them up like a stuffed pork loin. Delicious. Thank you!
@@joeyleerobbins I did 275, and then bumped to 300 when I covered in foil. 300 also worked well when I took them out naked and glazed with sauce. 175-185 IT on these is great…will still be juicy.
This is a great recipe! I used red bell peppers, because my 92 year old mother and my wife can't have spice. It worked just as well. Added some crazy spice to mine at the end. This guy knows his stuff. Wish he was one of my neighbors. All the best to everyone and your families out there!
I’ve made these a bunch of times following the temps and times. Always come out great. Even if you don’t have a smoker, they get great just using the oven.
Just discovered this channel a few weeks ago. Made these Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Chicken Thighs several times now with great results. Cheers, Malcom, you've made me seem like the expert you actually are. 😊😊😊
Barbecued some chicken breasts loaded with mushrooms, jalapenos, ham and other good garden stuff. Wrapped each up with a slice of bacon. Did the same with my scallops wrapped in bacon. So good. Thank you for the great ideas!
Here ... let me augment that filling for the Jalapeno. 1 block cream cheese, 8 oz Cheddar cheese, 1 Tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce, and cook half a pack of bacon, then chop that up ... mix all that together .... boom !! awesome filling for the Jalapeno.
I just finished cooking and eating this. WOW!! it had it all. I changed a few things but not by much. I am now a happy subscriber to your channel. My Wife and guests acted like I performed a miracle. Many thanks.
I made these last night for Family Dinner Night. I made them in the oven so it took longer than the times posted. They were AWESOME!!! For those who don't know (I didn't) Chicken Pans are also called Mini Loaf Pans.
I did these tonight on a propane grill with just 1 burner, cooking indirect. My cooking temperature was on the lowest setting and kept the temp at 350. However, I cooked for 45 minutes uncovered, then 45 minutes covered in foil. The only other change I made was to baste with bbq sauce, not immersion like Malcom does in the video. I don't make my own bbq sauce and didn't want to waste what was left over. Thighs came out great. Thanks for the video. Great idea for a cheap cut of meat. The entire recipe was a total of 15.00.
I really like your method, early stuff & recent videos! Even back in the day (your early stuff) the video editing is great! Totally stay on point with each video! Don’t change a thing. Well explained, great camera work it’s always where it needs to be! 👍 thanks Malcom
I made these today! Big thumbs up for this recipe! So much flavor in every bite!! I've been doing basic muffin pan chicken for a few years and have yet to field a complaint but the jalapeño, cream cheese, bacon took this up at least 2 levels! I will definitely make these again.
