Great recipe Kent. I'm a Griller and Camp Cast Iron Cooker but my son is a Griller and Smoker. He recently retired from the Air Force after 21 years and his smoker went everywhere with him (except the Middle East). I'm sending him this video and as soon as this CoronaVirus thing settles down we will be smokin together with this recipe. Thanks for all the great recipes!

little ol song from Steve "Griller" Miller......"the Smoker"
Some people call him the "Taste Cowboy'
Some call him the Gangster of Grub,
    some people call him Cookie,
...cuz he speaks, on advantages of Rub,
people keep talkin bout him Daily,
sayin he can cook no wrong,
dont you worry .no, dont worry Mama,
    because they surely aint wrong...
    cause he's a griller,
    and he's a baker,
    he's a broiler,
    a chili maker,
he cooks his vittles in the sun,
    A Ham smoker,
    a coal stoker,
    playin midnight poker,
Beagle dog wont hurt no one,
he's the real deal , like you will never see,
you'll love his peach cobbler, want that recipe..
Hush-puppy hush-puppy hush puppy tastin fine.
Oee, baby, He cooks up a good time...
    cause hes a Griller.......

As a retired chef. Fastest way to dull a knife, beating the blade on a rock, and using the edge of the knife to scrape food off a cutting board.
I was taught many years ago to flip the knife over and use the spine of the knife to scrape off all that yummy food you just chopped up with your razor sharpe blade.
I freaking live this channel, the food is exactly my style, and I love me some bbq everything.
Long ago I my old propane bbq finally succumbed to our harsh Canadian climate, and was replaced by a charcoal/ smoker grill. I've never looked back.

I learned a recipe from the “duck dynasty” cookbook where you slice a duck breast in half and stuff it with cream cheese and jalapeños then season the outside and wrap it in bacon.
I’ve learned to apply that to boneless chicken thighs, but I carve the bone out of the raw chicken without boiling. All the cooking is done on the grill.

Have long been envious of your vertical barrel smoker there and..just figured out how to build one watching this!
You can't get an unused barrel (that oil barrel is more expensive than 50 of them filled with oil at this point) but...
I have two empty beer kegs sitting in the barn. The keg merchants will not give anything for them and they are no longer made of aluminum.
Going to cut the tops off and make the bottom one the fire and the top one the smoker.
*Also, though all bourbon glazes are great this one is positively inspired. Guessing Shan must have come up with that!
Being south / southeast of you, I walked out the door and smelled this right as I was watching it. Amazing!
    Stay safe ya'll.

Wow Kent! Your chicken looks absolutely fantastic! The color you get by smoking it inside the Pitt-barrel definitely makes the dish what is! I’m assuming it works pretty close on my standard charcoal grill. As always your recipes and videos are so informative and entertaining! God bless you Kent, Shannon, the Duke, and the Beag!

I took your recipe and fancied it up a bit. put a piece of ham with provolone and I grilled a couple of jalapenos then slivered them and put a couple of slivers in each one. took the other jalapenos with a little honey mustard and bourbon put those in a blender smoothed that up real good for my glaze. I tried it that way because I really don't like cream cheese in some foods

I made this awesome recipe tonight, i used two pieces bacon, one length wise, the other around the middle. There was very little cream cheese loss and more bacon flavor!!!

I'm relatively new to the channel but I'm catching up as fast as I can. More than happy to sit and watch 4 or 5 vids at a time. I emailed the other day to get some products sent but as Shannon said we gotta wait for the restrictions to be lifted. Thankyou so much for the inspiration and entertainment. Pure magic.
