Great video! I've been wanting to get into Bespoke for a really long time, and I think your videos might be the one thing that actually convinces me to get started. You rock!
Thank you the best tutorials for bespoke. I think bespoke is the best free Open Source DAW, its definitely better than LMMS and Stargate, I didn't compare it with Ardour, because its a paid DAW.
Many thanks! I agree with you: bespoke is one of the best open source daw. And I think the modular approach is much more expressive than the standard timeline layout. Even though for large scale projects the patch cables can make it messy, it's worth it.
Coolish! Bespoke Synth should get more focus in general. Thx a lot! PS: I would be even interested in how to do a drum synthesizer and how to send and receive midi out of bespoke. Thx in advance.
Thanks for your comment. I agree with you, that's exactly why I decided to start a series on this software. In bespoke there is a module called [drumsynth] designed to synthesize percussive sounds out of simple waveforms and noise. I'll make a video about it where I'll show how to tweak its settings to produce punchy sounds. As for MIDI I plan to make an in-depth video about it. I think it will take some time since there's a lot to explain!
@@SoundCodex thats cool! I love the simplicity of how bespoke was created. Even it seems to me very easily open for python programmers to get into there and do funky stuff
your Bespoke tutorial series/playlist is exceptional, thank you. i have a question about the DrumPlayer module. i was trying to edit/change the drum sample files, but nothing happens. i even deleted the entire 808kit directory, and it still loaded all the original drums! What is going on? any ideas? i want to use my own drum samples... -thank you again, peace.
Hi, simply drag the audio file onto one of the drum pads and save the project. You can also do this with multiple samples... Bespoke will automatically place them one after the other :)
thank you. i figured out my error, apparently, bespoke was installed on two separate drives, and i was mixing them up. how stupid of me! but i totally did not know about the 'trick' you taught me, so thank you as always...! @@SoundCodex

Thank you, I really appreciate that! Bespoke is a great software, you'll enjoy it :)
Thank you for your introduction in these modules. This brings me a little bit more closer to Bespoke Synth again. 😎👍🏻
My drumsequncer doesn't have "lock" settings. The program version is the latest(windows). What could be the problem?
In newer versions, the lock setting has been replaced with random0, random1, random2 etc. This allows you to randomize each row independently 😉
Best DAW imo. An easier Max/PD (for audio) to focus on making music with genious workflow and it´s own sex appeal.
I totally agree. It fills that gap between programming languages for audio like Pd or Max and conventional DAWs. And it's strongly music oriented!
@@SoundCodex can even imagine the dev will bring in some video modular stuff in the future (in the bespoke way).

These are awesome mate! Would love to see one on the loopers. :)
Thanks for the good idea! I will definitely make a video on the loopers.
Thanks for these tutorials. In the Drum sequencer I see randomize row instead of lock. How do I show the lock row command?

please make more tutorial bespoke, maybe tutorial bespoke connect with MIDI? or something
I plan to make many more videos on bespoke (including MIDI). So stay tuned :)
@@SoundCodex yeah and maybe at some point route osc out for Max msp jitter etc. love out!
