    Watching this now on an early morning replay. I've always liked John's books. Will be picking this one up.

    Great dialogue between two great authors. During a tense election season this is most welcome.

    There's no room for the death penalty period.

      I tell myself that also, until I hear details of savagery.
      But prosecutor malfeasance pushes me back into anti death penalty.

    I always like to see famous people use their voice to advocate for those without power.

      I prefer to see the working class unite to claim the power that is ours by right. Expecting the rich and famous to do the work is futile.

    It astonishes me that certain states in the US still have the death penalty. Canada got rid of in 1971, thank goodness. Having seen the justice up close, I’m against the death penalty because the justice system is far from dependable because there is so much bias built into the system. 🇨🇦

    The Reid technique is the culprit, in many cases. Lying to a suspect is awful. You cannot refute a lie. If the police say your DNA is there, what is your defense? In the UK, this is not allowed.

      Under what legislation is it unlawful for police to lie to suspects? I'm British and I'm unaware that such legislation exists. Is it in PACE 1984?

      The 7 men were innocent, the DNA proved it. Not that you don't have a good point, that average Joe doesn't have the funds for DNA testing for exoneration.

    Ain't nothing astonishing about being wrongfully convicted, that just shows how bad our system is and why A.I. should be working on the backlog, or some matrixing to help bring things to court, and help with the collection of evidence for those wrongfully accused first (they can't be two places at one time) and help with organizing perpetrators, losing numbers since their names were taking a way once in the system. But because money, money, money is what the computerized AI system and all digitals surrounding it have to be profited first, and because the flawed court system is having a field day on the poor and disenfranchised, no change will come about--and you can write several volumes on Framed, Wrongfully accused.

      @RebeccaTurner-ny1xx 17 часов назад

      A.I. has nothing new to contribute. It is based on the aggregation of current systems which, as you know, are deeply corrupt and biased against the working class.

    John Grisham some great stories became movies. I think that these dead penalties should be discussed and change. There is a series called 'the mayor of Kingstown' makes me think about Rikers island.
    Books as The Pelican Brief and Time to kill were very good too. Also movies.
