Self boop just makes so much sense. If nothing else, this should make it into live as an official part of Lucio's kit.

They should make a gamemode called "Overwatch but fun" in the arcade where they have a couple extra changes that make the characters more fun but also a bit more OP

As someone who knows pretty much literally nothing about Overwatch, I can confirm that watching the funni soundwave man wallrun and shotgun jump around the map at mach 5 is pretty fun.
Between Lucio and JQ, they added the most fun and uní que reworks or any hero and its sad that we wont be able to play them again
They NEED to add some version of this change to live. The boop actually feels SO fucking good and it's so fucking fun and cool!!!!! I'd understand if they wanted to tweak it a bit like increasing the cooldown a bit and slightly reducing the vertical height and bit of the horizontal distance you can get or the ending velocity you get with it. Still tho, this would be SO much fucking fun if they added it!!!!
Also about the ult change, I think it'd be really cool if it did knockback/knockup like this!! There's not a huge amount of ults that do mass knockback like that, and having one on a support and especially one so aesthetically fitting as Lucio's would be awesome, it'd feel so satisfying! It also raises the skill floor a bit, since if you're not mindful of timing/los then you can try to beat as the enemies start to engage and boop them all towards safety so they can easier disengage and wait out the beat, not bad but it's worth noting.
The ammo change would be really nice, Lucio has needed more ammo for a long time I feel like I constantly have to reload with him. Although the other gun changes didn't feel good; the added cognitive load from needing to be on heal aura to shoot more was too much and it may buff the less fun Lucio playstyle of farming ult with heal aura and being a turret and speeding the team when needed.
This April Fools patch was awesome though, I'm sad I didn't end up getting to play it much and I hope they add some of these changes to live sometime!!!

to add it into the actual game, how should it be balanced? A 4 second cooldown coach gun makes it impossible to kill lucio.
i propose that it should be chargeable for the self boop variant, while tapping rclick does the normal boop
Reminds me of TF2 Scout’s “Force-A-Nature” scattergun. It holds less ammunition, but it has the gimmick of increased knockback to not only the enemy, but also the player. It effectively serves as an additional midair jump or stall if you aim down.

This makes me want what the OW2 campaign could have been even more. Would have been so cool if each level required movement abilities from each hero like having to wall ride through an asteroid belt as Lucio or use all of tracers blinks to make it over a large chasm.
I really have to stop watching these videos cos their so entertaining that it makes me want to play the game

I would 100% argue Junker Queen’s ability. Ain’t no way any other character in the game tops her diving capabilities with the silly knife ability.
They really should make a new character with that movement idea

Winston ain’t got an axe.
The thing about Winston is how limiting he is, you have to be up close and personal unless you charge secondary fire all the time, but queen’s knife makes her fly faster, farther, and can slingshot herself across the map in some cases, especially when you semi-treat it like doomfist punch. She flies farther than doomfist’s seismic slam + punch combo, on a shorter cooldown, plus reliable self sustain.
Plus I just think it’s neat because on paper it sounds bad but in practice is fun that *i* personally had.

If it were to be implemented naturally: Click to Boop, Hold and Charge for a second to do the Pushback for Lucio. Just my thought.😊

TF2 scout had weapons that added movement abilities like triple jump and jump boosts. No wall riding though.
