Even if you describe Graham as a pro, they still made this piece themselves and he's teaching her how to take an IKEA piece and alter it into something different, so it is to a DIY !!!!

@@junerobbins6871 Agreed, it is helpful to watch someone learn from a Pro. But at the same time it does feel like there needs to be some caveats, and saying DIY by itself fells like it probably mislead a large portion of viewers.

I wasn’t a fan of the color until it was in the space & THEN it was perfect!!!
But liking pink is just depends on your color season. I’m a Winter, so ice pink with tons of silver & white to diffuse it is my idea of perfect.
I think she’s a Fall in the fashion world , so I think her pinks are simply more deep.
But truly it was just perfect in the space & the wood accents balanced it marvelously.
      - Hey, you might add the book, “Color Me Beautiful” to your AG team reading list.
Its the most powerful color book I’ve ever read. It is built on the premise that there are 2 ways to obtain a compliment with colors:
      1) that’s an amazing dress
      Or
      2) You look stunning, what did you do?
You know you nailed the correct color for you if you get the second comment.
The fashion world does colors by Season, & I’m sure you guys know that, because you’ve discussed a Spring pallet before. But this book really brings it home.
When you get a client that says, “I want color” then matching them to their perfect Season color, will get you in their color ballpark, & not yours.
Tailoring colors to your clients, sets your makeovers up for Success!

I can’t remember the last time I had a bottle of wine with a cork in it. Even the really expensive wine I’ve had in recent years had a screw top. Did these bottle definitely have corks? Edit, yep, they have corks. I guess that’s the one of the differences living in MZ to North America! With just two bottles I don’t think they’ll be there long anyway,… I wonder how long before we get a wine bottle storage video lol

I agree with you about the color, it feels a little juvenile especially since it houses alcohol. I thought it would be the same as the drawers. But hey, it’s her house, her signature color, a labor of love and a beautiful piece!

I keep thinking that if you just made it from scratch that it would have been easier and better quality. That notion was solidified when I heard the cardboard cracking sound and wondered how much of it was cardboard. Definitely elevates the space though so mission accomplished.

I agree with others that this really isn't a DIY or something I can replicate exactly myself, but it still gives some cool ideas for frankensteining pieces together, and I think the channel also still has plenty of smaller and more doable DIYs. I'm here for inspiration and for the chill and funny atmosphere of the channel and everybody on it, not for makeovers I can "achieve" with exact accuracy. My personal style is nothing like AG's anyways, but I've still gotten ideas from the channel. Happy holidays, and looking forward to more in 2024!

Nice piece. Not crazy about the pink color. Also if you paid graham let’s say $50.00 per hour, how many hours did he put into this piece including the time with the mirror being changed into glass? Wondering what that bill would be compared to buying a store bought piece of furniture? ( I know you needed a custom size) 😎
