    Haha, was at Tims yesterday (Tim Horton) , yes it is a Canadian tradition even though not the best coffee. I like the donuts especially Timbits. As a Canadian there is always at least one in almost every community so it’s part of a lot of peoples, me included, daily or weekly routine.
    Vancouver is beautiful and it does have a good deal of British historical influence. If your cruise goes to Victoria that has way more visible Britishness about it. Enjoy your cruise the west coast is amazing to see. I’ll be watching your posts from southern Alberta. Have a great time!

    I stayed at the Metropolitan Hotel, which is a Marriott property there in downtown Vancouver. It was very nice back in April after getting off of the cruise ship. Also, it’s an easy trip to get on their subway to downtown from the airport if you don’t have too much baggage.

    Agree at about terminal 5 we flew to and from Jersey recently and found it very chaotic. When we arrived back it took longer to get the bags then the flight from Jersey. Looking forward to the vlogs, we were in vancouver this time last year but we had 4 days we got the sky train to the airport from our downtown hotel.We went into vancouver from seattle we should have gone 9n the train but it hadn't restarted following covid so had to go by bus.After vancouver we flew to San Francisco and had to do a covid test so all the time we were in vancouver we were worried about getting covid and not being able to get back into America but we were ok

I have cruised about 10 times but most were out of the Caribbean. My husband, who is English, loves cruising. His first cruise was in 2013. I know you want to experience Tim Hortons but actually in Canada McDonald's has th best coffee in my opinion. Everyone has a different opinion. Do you have claustrophobia or cleithrophobia Stacey? I have the latter (worsening over the last 4 years) and the reason we're booked on a couple of cruises this year (first time cruiser) is so we can drive to Genoa (4hrs for us) and have a great holiday without having to fly. I'm fine being in the air, but I can't stand being confined when not moving, like a delay, or when I'm seated and the aisle is packed with people, or locked bathrooms!! Same with the subways or the crowded buses that shuttle you from the terminal to the plane (and then leave you locked in there while they get the plane ready). So we may need to get used to Mediterranean cruises until I can confidently get back to flying. Anyway, enjoy Vancouver and looking forward to reading the rest of your adventure. Marc

    • @OneCouplesAdventure
      @OneCouplesAdventure  Год назад

      Ah this is really interesting Marc, I always assumed it was claustrophobia but have been reading up on Cleithrophobia and it definitely seems more like this. As with me it's not necessarily I'm scared of small spaces it's just any sized space where I feel I could become trapped. Even Rollercoasters its not the ride itself it's the feeling of the bars trapping me in the seat. Guess we all have a fear of something, not nice one to have though. Sorry you experience it too. Rubbish isn't it 😒

    • @blueranger777
      @blueranger777 Год назад +1

      @@OneCouplesAdventure Same with me, from a child I always assumed I had claustrophobia, but it's more the feeling of be trapped and unable to escape, no matter the size. Anyway, enough of the phobias LOL. Go enjoy yourselves.
