To anybody thinking about playing with sulphur hexafluoride: Note that sulphur hexafluoride is heavier than air. In fact it is much heavier. Your lungs are basically an airbag that is open at the top. Now if you fill in this heavy gas part of it will just stay inside following gravity. This will severely reduce your ability to breathe. So if you do'nt know very well how to remove that gas completely from your lungs once the stunt is over please do not do it. I got that warning from a friend who worked at a circus show. They had an announcer who used to alter his voice using both helium and sulphur hexafluoride. He died prematurely and very probably that was the reason.
