Really enjoying this channel. Every interview is great!
I was enamored with Harrison from the get go. The art of "Telling Stories" and still he keeps anchored to reality. Thanks so much for making life a bit more adventurous.
@@OriginalHarrisonFord I'm from Northern KY, a fan for as long as your film career has been as I'm 65....lol. I love the arts and that humanity looks at itself, and forgives itself quicker than any religious dogma can by story telling. Of course initial attraction was that you told of your endeavors, such as carpentry. In interviews that are silly or boring but a necessity of the "business", you gracefully use humor to ease through. I did get a bit angry about the rag tag over your flying incident. I bet you've avoided a few too. We all try to do what we love but people can't seem to think that celebrity doesn't make you non human, just more exposed.
I'm a no one that muddles through life that came from a news paper editor father and a mother who painted.
Don't worry about the burden of example in the lime light. You've served well, and those that really know you and love you will relish your flaws. Enjoy this earth while you can as we are laying waste to it quickly.
I hope this inquiry wasn't just generated by A.I. or agent fan club. Nonetheless, appreciate being entertained for years.
@@user-hs3it1vd7p that’s not Harrison, it’s an impersonator
I've always liked Harrison Ford for his acting, but recently he's been very humble about acting and his work, and there's been a nice bit of wisdom in his words. Harrison is a good man. I wish him good health!

@@OriginalHarrisonFord bro come on seriously
its how humble he remains through his success i try to emulate he is truly a genius at his craft
I love this! For a guy with terrible social anxiety, this is about as open as I've seen him in an interview in a very long time! He's often so reserved and slightly verging on standoffish in most interviews, but he seems very natural and eager to share his life story. Probably helps that he's not answering the same damn Indiana Jones questions for the 5 billionth time in a row, lol.
I’m shocked by how open and warm he is here. It's great to see.

Come here for *Harrison,* stay for *Carl.*
Always a treat to get more than 5 words out of *Harrison Ford* as himself. Often misunderstood, always compelling.
11:47 What a touching piece on *Carl Reiner.* I was particularly moved by the spotlight on the friendship he shared with *Mel Brooks.* 🥰

I’ve been fortunate enough to meet Mr Ford twice, both times he’s been polite, reserved and patient while I was suffering from verbal diarrhoea hoping to impress. If ever I was meet him again, I would not say anything out of the respect I have for him and his career.

@@OriginalHarrisonFord 48 years! But as somebody once said, “it’s not the years, it’s the mileage.”
When I saw Mr Ford on "Shrinking", his Apple TV+ series, he looked so frail that I feared for him. But now I see what is going on there - ACTING! I'm relieved to see that he is still going strong.

Carl Reiner was a great comedian. Seeing the recognition he's getting is sweet indeed.
An icon of any movie of his life. I like him and he is the greatest.
Geez that’s amazing ! Carl Reiner lives on thru his children!
I love that his daughter looks like this beautiful combination of the two of them.
This is by far the best interview I've see Harrison Ford in. I like ford he's a private guy a good actor well respected.
Love this interview. Such deep and meaningful questions as an entertainer, but also as a person. Getting the separation, but also connection with it

The most natural I’ve ever seen Harrison Ford. Nice interview.
I was surprised how long this was, keeping in mind his track record of avoiding being interviewed :) I guess this was part of the job on 1923. But it seems this time he was in the right mood to be interviewed.
Because most of the interviews, especially American late night shows,he is high as a kite...

Yes, I watched the first episode for free so now I guess I won’t have to pay money for the Apple TV thing. I don’t want to pay for all of those different channels! 😂
If I look half as good as Harrison Ford does at half his age I’ll be very happy.

I came here for Harrison, and it was beyond great!
but I knew about Carl and Rob also, and that had me bawling.
It is very telling when the children of famous people are not writing books about how they were horribly abused by their famous parent, but instead share their beloved memories.
My favorite actor who played in all my favorite movies. Luckily he managed not to be canceled in this strange and troubled era. Now I must say I wont go to watch the next indiana jones. The last one was horrible. The next one under the kathleen kenedy supervision and without spielberg is a big no. Impossible, lol? And the apple movie…I mean it was awfull. Then I dont know about this 1923 but the no cgi rings a good bell for me. What a nice ranch.
@Paul Unetourtelle - Have you seen his series on Apple TV+ - "Shrinking"? He plays an aging, curmugeonly psychologist who is forced to be the "father' figure to two younger, sometimes woe begotten, phycologist partners. It has comedy and pathos intertwined. He does not fly a spaceship, hunt for loot, or shoot aliens from horseback, but he's still excellent as a real human with family, medical, and partner problems.
@@MossyMozart I said the Apple movie was horrible. So yes I saw it and it s obviously something done for the money. Dialog, scenario, situations, characters, everything is stupid and empty. Yes he is as good as usual but the “product” is just heartless and souless.
I fully expect the next Indy to be complete garbage.
@@mftepera How could it be different than that? A horrible cgi mess with no scenario. And a grumpie and bitter indiana, like Luke Skywalker. And full of easter eggs. Who wants to see that ? Actually, the people who likes the actual season 3 of Mandalorian will love it.

@@OriginalHarrisonFord Wow! Thanks for your reply, Mr. Ford. When Star Wars burst onto the scene in 1976, your portrayal of Han Solo really made your mark. Aside from the vast themes, special effects and all that Star Wars brought forth - your realistic, human performance grounded the movie and made it seem real. I've known guys like that. You always bring that believable, "regular guy" approach to your characters - and let us see inside & what makes them tick. At least, that's my take. Can't wait for the premier of The Dial of Destiny at the end of June. Thank you for ALL of your great work. My very best wishes from South Florida.

@@jofi4580 Not on earth. 😃
Ben Mankiewicz has always been a great interviewer and tv host on Turner Classic movies.
One of Harrison Ford's favorite yarns is the one about when he got a critique from a big whig, and when the whig says, "Ford, when Tony Curtis did so and so, you know THAT was a star!" and Ford quips, well I thought he was supposed to be a waiter??" Whig says, "Kid, get outta here, you'll never be an actor. Go back to carpentry!!!" Fast forward a few years, and he played in three of my favorite films, Star Wars (or course) Raiders of the Lost Arc, and Blade Runner. I really, really liked the leading man, Harrison Ford, in each film, for he was what every guy wanted to be. Suave, brave handsome and good with chicks. It wasn't until like late in the 90s or early 2000s that I emotionally and logically linked up all the actors as the same actor. Until then, on most levels, they were different people. Yeah, that's a star too!
The qualtiy of this show is so ....low. I mean my god. The sets, the editing... the questions... it all feels so outdated.
Why would a producer go out of his way to call in a young unknown actor specifically to crush his hopes and aspirations? Perhaps that producer was hoping for some begging, some tears and a hummer?
That is a story many young startups can and do tell. What a mean thing to do!
To the Aztecs it's personal. They know they owned everything.
interestingly enough, rapper eminem said the same thing. like how when you're famous, it feels like you're in a zoo
The loss of anonymity… yes, I don’t think I would like that either! Luckily, I am not so famous in my own realms 😂
For an actor named “Harrison Ford” and just from his general demeanour, I am shocked he isn’t in a lot more westerns.

Well I'm boycotting the whole IJ film. I live in the NE of England and last summer Ford was here filming. A group of fans asked for autographs and he told them to F*** off. He is a nasty person. These big film stars should remember it's the fans who make them rich. He then flew to London and after his "advisers" spoke with him was shown laughing and getting his photo taken with fans. He is not popular here. He needs to issue an apology.
This was during COVID and with great respect if you are his age. You are trying to go around on your day off doing normal business and you have so many people invading your personal space where the world is trying to fight of the biggest health issue since whenever. l would said F off to glorified autograph signatures, because of that fact you are invading my personal space during the COVID pandemic.
